I think everyone has problems seeing player ghosts or deaths from time to time. Don't know if its a glitch, network issues, or something to do with passwords...

She won't die will she? Fuck if I want anyone to die it's that old hag.

No, taking the blood won't kill anyone. You can only have one vial of special blood at a time though, so if you want more, you have to use the first one, otherwise she'll just tell you she needs time to recover.

Shit! Someone seems to be
killing people in the Chapel Ward
. Is it
the prostitute or the bandage guy, because they are the only two left. She seems to be sick, and he is a weirdo who gives me beast pellets, which makes me wonder f he is transforming and killing everyone or something.

Hope all is well with you man.

It's been a very difficult month it's why I've been posting much less on GAF up until yesterday. Don't want people to feel sorry for me so I don't want to make a thread about it, but it's been hard. But on the upside, when I did come back yesterday I got the most amazing message on GAF. I'll make a thread about it later in the week, but it really made me smile again. I needed that. Between that and Bloodborne, I was able to sleep soundly last night first time in weeks.

Ami, any chance you will stream it? :D

Hmmm. I may do it. I'll definitely post in this thread when I do

It's the
beggar/bandage dude, the one you rescue from the forbidden woods

Simple tips for those who usually run out of bullets or/and blood vial when hitting a wall on a boss:
1. Only go into a boss with no string attached aka no or small blood echoes.
2. Always use bullet blood. To recover health, preferably by hitting/visceral backstabbing an enemy rather than using blood vial.
3. If situation goes awry right on the start of boss battle (like down to 20% health), don't bother healing yourself. Try to dodge through attack instead and learn the boss pattern. Treat it like a training session with the boss :p
4. Remember to keep your head cool, keep at range with the boss. If the boss health down to below 50%, you got your tempo, and feel confident, go for it.

In short, use your consumables in moderation, don't chug a blood too easily.

I'd also say patience is a virtue one or two hits is a better than three hits and the boss nailing you for half your life bar.

I am about 5 hours in (died quite a bit before first boss to the two Lycanthrope things) and loving it now.

Not sure why I can't summon anybody anymore though- it's been about an hour and I have 6 insight, but it's greyed out.

Also, if you wanna add my PSN its DeadlyVigilante - I'd love to chat it up sometime or join up.

Finally beat Amelia. YYYYYEEESSSSS!!!!!!!!! Although I really didn't get anything out of that cinematic

This is basically how I got through
blood starved beast
. I got tired of farming and decided to do it without antidotes or bullets. Didn't have to worry about parrying or another consumable. Was able to concentrate on what actually needed to be done.

Rom is really making me want to pull my hair out. I can't even find my blood stain 80% of the time due to the damn brightness.

You just have to be patient. Like super patient. Take out the little buggers first. I was rushing the boss, trying to ignore them but I would just get destroyed.

Once I killed them and focused on the boss, it became pretty easy.

Yup, think about what the bandage guy was doing when you first met him :p

Glad to hear things are going your way Ami. Always great to have some form of respite from the crap that surrounds us daily.

If you do stream, make sure you post!

I am so damned lost and the short cuts are making it worse.

I opened the side door in the 'tower' just before you get to the Blood starved beast. I can make it back to that side door but I can't figure out how to get back to where I was : P

I need to call for help on the BSB anyways, I am getting torn up.
Leave the lamp in old y, go straight, don't go left to the bridge, keep going straight off a ledge to another ledge, to the top of a building, to the ledge below, look across the gap for a small platform on a pillar, roll on that, turn right, jump down, enter the door you opened, go down the stairs, out the building to the right and follow the hook left straight to BSB

Heads up, read everything in game.

I was so taken in by the environment and the setting that I just ran through shit and didn't even realize the cane could turn into a whip.

My dumb ass took out the first two bosses without ever using anything but one form of attacks.

So the game has 2 difficulty settings.

Bloodborne
Flying Toaster

Don't play the second.

Wow, D
arkbeast
P
aarl
was really easy, I think I got hit twice the entire fight. Partly due to the camera getting hung up on a bench or some shit in the corner.

I have no idea if i'm even going the right way anymore though, lol.

Just bought PS4 Wireless Gold Headset just for this game. Can't wait to try it out tonight.

Somehow I got to boss 4 before boss 3. Boss 3 area was missed completely due to not seeing a small staircase which lead to a new area I completely had no idea existed until late last night. Both bosses still live, especially boss 4, who literally goes ape shit when less then 40% life and proceeds to violate my orifice with extreme prejudice. I have no idea what to do at that point but to curl up in a ball and ring my bell, weeping softly.

Love this game.

Definitely agree with the bolded. If you're in trouble, don't use up all your vials since you'd have to find a way to replenish your stock. Learning the boss patterns is an invaluable strategy.

Beat R
on the spider
. I actually found him to be pretty easy.
But then I got to the Hi
dden
Vi
llage
and OMG this place is brutal.
Enemies die quickly but they deal a ton of damage, I'm not getting any healing items from them..and they respawn!!!!!

I've got this issue as well. Just beat BSB. Help? =(

If it helps:
After I beat the Ron the Spider I went to the grand cathedral and she was there. But instead of having to help her she became agressive and I had to kill her (she is pretty tough, btw). But that game the item which allows me to buy her armor set back in Hunters dream.
Given that she DID appear in the end but in another form I guess we just somehow fucked up her questline

Guys, I am only delaying the inevitable by doing chalice and running around in places trying to find loot that I haven't found yet...

There's nothing else for me to do, except go to the last boss.

:(

Damn, should I
kill him? Also, what did I miss out on by allowing him to kill everyone but the prostitute?

You can.
Watch out though if you want to kill him, don't take him lightly. As for what you missed, maybe items from the person(s) he killed

wow, the hunter can barely take a fall in this

Have you played the other games? The fall distance here is so forgiving!

I learned that a funny way: fighting on a ledge, I got pushed off and yelped "no!" because if it was any Souls game the fall would kill me instantly and instead I survived and had to regain my composure such as to not die to what was lurking below.

I really have no blood vials, no bullets. I don't know what to do, help me, GAF. After the third boss the games got more hard than any other souls game for me and I played all of them at least to ng++.

but you should know I always try to make my gaming experiences as brutally difficult as possible. Flying Toaster difficulty is usually my default mode!

I am a masochist! I need the pain, it feeds my drive and reward centers! (
maybe that's why I like my partners to draw blood with their nails during se--nevermind
)

I love the going through old areas with headphones on, but I take them off for bosses and new areas. So much shrieking in that game that it distracts me.

There is Newgame+

Actually I was thinking we should do a Newgame+ lets play session while drinking.

Get a few of us to actually multiplayer it and discuss the game while drinking till we pass out.

Thinking you've cleared your first chalice floor. Awesome.
Realizing you have only in fact opened the door to the boss of the first floor as he lands a jumping overhand swing in your face. Not as awesome.

Lost 8k unlocking the silver trophy:
Source of the Dream

But it was worth it for this. Am I pretty, Bloodborne GAF?

how many hours has this all taken you?

I've been curious about how much content Bloodborne has.

lol I was doing some exploring near
CW, and I decided to go down the stairs in front of this giant church. Go inside and pull a lever which opens up a hidden passage way. I go into the hidden passage way and find a Blood Gem something (?) and get a trophy for it. I see a side door leading to a staircase and I walk through the door. It immediately becomes pitch black and all noise and music just stops. It creeped me out so badly I ran all the way back to the CW and dropped a coin haha.

Hmmm. I may do it. I'll definitely post in this thread when I do
Please do.

I'm currently away from home for work (couldn't bring my PS4, unfortunately). I only got to play on the day of release for a few hours up until the 3rd boss, and have to wait until April 1st to continue my playthrough.

So I need my Bloodborne fix, but without spoiling the game for myself. Which is why I wouldn't mind watching you go through the beginning of the game :P

Warp to the Central Yharnam lantern. Go through the shortcut gate and into the house. Kill the wheelchair guy for 4 bullets. Go to the outside area by the elevator and kill the two brick carrying guys. They can drop 2 vials each. Take the elevator and cross the bridge towards Father G's fog door, kill all the enemies there and watch for the flaming boulder. Continue up the stairs and kill the two enemies facing the corner: use a pebble to aggro one of them and kill it, then backstab the other. Run back towards the bridge and suicide by jumping off. You will spawn back at the Central Yharnam lantern. Rinse and repeat. If you kill everything on the next run, you will regain the lost echoes from your suicide. In maybe 20 minutes I maxed out my carry load of 20 vials and 20 bullets, and had about 50 of each in storage.

I'm in the same place, but have you opened this door

near the wrecking ball guy near the church?

That's one of the few things on my to do list

Myabe the downside of this is that you'll see a lot of loading screen. But hey! At least you could pick your smartphone and check the OT while the game is loading :p
