Just tried the Blood Starved Beast a few times and I'm making scrub mistakes for some reason guys. Getting greedy, dodging too early and worst of all getting hit by that huge jump attack + combo thing it does.

Guess I'll go checkout Hemwick first since I only got to the lampat its very beginning.

Extended Axe R2 charged attack is the bane of that entire area. You should have the shortcut to the lamp already, but from there it is a huge layout and a direct path to the boss. But now that you can get there directly from the lamp, I would go back and spend them and then come back.

I don't have the shortcut. Did I miss it?

I believe it's at the top of the stairs just past the Old Cathedral lamp. There's a really tall guy walking up and down the stairs with an axe. Go use it at the top of those stairs.

From lamp in the temple you take a left, kill the two dudes with canes and then take the stairs leading up. Follow them to the right, killing the giant with the big axe if you have to. At the end of the stairs is a gate. That gate is unlocked by the key you're talking about.

I pretty much stopped using guns altogether since getting the holy blade. It's hilariously OP with 25 str 25 dex. I've had max bullets for the longest time and it pops up an annoying text box every time I try to loot bullets now.

Where do I farm chunks tho? I want to get that B scaling on dex.

You should be finding that gate to open that is right beside the lamp you lit when you first arrived. It's not far.

Went around and up the stairs without him noticing, fell down, slowly walk behind him, STRONG R2 THAT MOTHERFUCKER AND QUICKLY HIT R1, run all the way to flaming ball bridge, wait 5 seconds, rinse and repeat.

Took a while since he does a lot of damage and I messed up a few times.

The way the world connects together is incredible, even better than Dark Souls.

Henwick is one of those areas where you really have to appreciate the level design. It does a great job of repeating back on itself while still feeling like you're progressing. That stable was terrifying too, and the lake was oddly calming even though it was directly after one of the most stressful fights

Is he even the second boss in the game? I've just read he's one of the hardest in Bloodborne. Have I missed the second boss?

He's really not that bad with a little practice. Just dodge into him and to the left, he almost never hit me when I did that. Just work your way around until you're on his side, wail on him a few times and then back off. You can also get him to enter an attack animation on one side of the pillars and you can then run around the pillar and nail him in the rear

Just be sure to have a few vials and antidotes handy if he does manage to hit you, but using this strat I never even got poisoned until the third phase when it's just constantly radiating out of him as an AoE. The fight is more about patience than anything, took me around 5-7 minutes. Just be sure to never attack him from the front.

This is my first post on this forum, and I was wondering how long it took others to complete NG+. The reason for this question is that I finished it in approximately 14 hours whilst doing more than my first play through and completing it 10 hours faster. Is this normal for a NG+ of a souls game.
