Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

They all scale occurring to your upgraded weapon stats, so those are misleading. For example, Ludwig's Holy Blade is setting at "D" for strength, but the more you put into your attribute the higher it gets raised. I'm sitting at a "B" for that weapon. Zoned out on that for a second... weapon stats that get upgraded, not your own.

Ah, I see that now. So, does it make sense to stick with the Saw Cleaver? It goes from D to C, which isn't very helpful.

Can anyone please explain how getting poisoned works?

Sometimes I see the poison bar over my head for a few seconds and then it disappears now sure what that means exactly...

This is my first post on this forum, and I was wondering how long it took others to complete NG+. The reason for this question is that I finished it in approximately 14 hours whilst doing more than my first play through and completing it 10 hours faster. Is this normal for a NG+ of a souls game.

Typically, yes. You already know the path, and you know what to watch out for. It's the same for the Souls series.

You should be finding that gate to open that is right beside the lamp you lit when you first arrived. It's not far.
I just saw a
swamp with lightning bugs and a pig in the river connected to it.
Is that close? I just really don't want to run into a boss by accident or lose these echoes. I'm terrified to progress right now.

EDIT: Nevermind, I found it! Damn, I feel much safer now.

I know killing
Rom
starts the next phase of the game because of the
moon
. Is there anything I should do now that I can't do after? Don't want to miss anything.

Still confused on the MP.

What are the negative impacts to your character or SP campaign when having another player invade your game?

Basically you have to get fully poisoned(the bar filled up) to actually take any poison damage. The amount of poison in you decreases over time naturally.

Where exactly is the GG man in Old Y? I feel like I'm right below him but the only path takes me around the building and into a little building with a creepy big room with red-eyed wolves that wreck me. Am I going the right way?

Guys I need a heads up on spiders. I'm terrified of them. Those weird spider like things in Tower of Latria in DS scared the piss out of me. How many are there and how hideous are they?
There's... enough. And
a spider boss

It's a threshold

Poison attacks fill that bar, when it gets full you get poisoned. Poison resistance increases the size of the bar

He's really not that bad with a little practice. Just dodge into him and to the left, he almost never hit me when I did that. Just work your way around until you're on his side, wail on him a few times and then back off. You can also get him to enter an attack animation on one side of the pillars and you can then run around the pillar and nail him in the rear
giggity
. Just be sure to have a few vials and antidotes handy if he does manage to hit you, but using this strat I never even got poisoned until the third phase when it's just constantly radiating out of him as an AoE. The fight is more about patience than anything, took me around 5-7 minutes. Just be sure to never attack him from the front.

Yeah, that's about what I did. As I said it's just that I get too trigger happy right at the end and I get grabbed or something similar. Can survive that grab attack yet.

I'll just come back to it later and if the other souls games taught me anything it is that it's likely I'll beat it on my first try then. xD

Almost managed to down Father Gascoine, one or two more hits left and than he managed to fuck me up against a wall so I couldn't see anything. :(

I find his beast form incredibly annoying!

He is honestly the easiest boss I've fought but you need to know the best way. When I did him in I didn't get hit once. As soon as the fight starts quickly go to the right where you will see a tree surrounded by headstones. Lock onto him and make sure he stays on the opposite side. Extend weapon and do an R2 charge attack. If he starts to come round just keep moving round so he's always opposite you. Just be careful of his second form as he can hit you through the stones as well.

Basically hit him through the stones. Your extended weapon will catch him.

ladder on the side of the building, by the elevator

5 hours of frustration, wasting 300k blood echoes, numerous tires on
Shadow of Yharnam
...finally beat it. It was by far the hardest boss for me so far.

It was so frustrating that it reminded me of back when I was playing Dark Souls....

Now that I'm on NG+.

Should I tell NPCs to go to
Iosefka's clinic or the Cathedral?
and
which NPC is
Yurt
in this game?

I understand this. What can they take from your character or campaign?

Gear? Echoes? Insight? DLC? PSN SSN numbers?

Nothing. They'll get echoes for killing you but they aren't yours. Your echoes will be sitting there if you make it back to where you died like if you died any other way.

About coop: i summoned people 3 times yesterday. Didn't take more than a few seconds to find someone. Guess i'm lucky.

Network set to worldwide.

I feel so amazing after killing the second boss, had a lot of trouble.

I reclaimed my Blood Echoes and purchased a Saw Spear to try.

Anyone use one as well? What do you think of it?

I got really used to the Axe so I don't know if I really want to use something else. Also going to buy the saw cleaver to try as well.

6 bosses in and Saw Spear +6 is my main weapon. I love it.

Yes, you can.

Yea, you can invade.

What? Of course you can invade. Don't be ridiculous.

You can though
1) Why haven't I been invaded ONCE this entire game? 30 hours, not once.
2) Why can't I invade anyone?
3) Why is it that the Sinister Bell is always "searching for another Sinister Bell" - i.e. a duel.
4) Why is it that when I enter someone else's world, they are always right at the waypoint waiting for me?

I know you can mutually agree to a duel, but I don't think you can invade.

I've been invaded three times. Two guys were so underleveled and I destroyed them, one guy the game kept unlocking so I kept missing and died.

There's spots where the lady is ringing the bell and it's fair game to invade anyone.

I can't summon my friend that is lvl 41 while I am lvl 48. We even use a password and he still can't summon me. Are the servers messed up or is there something that prevents someone from summoning another that is a bit farther than you in the game? ( I've beaten two more bosses than him)

1) You can only be invaded while you are ringing the coop bell.
2) You can only invade while they are ringing the coop bell, you might be overleveled, etc.
3) The bell its searching for is the bell of a woman that spawns on the host's side. If they kill the woman, the bell will stop and they won't be invaded. It will also find other people's Sinister's Bells for duels.
4) I normally run back to the Lantern when I'm invaded. Safe!
