Lost solo to BSB five times now

Soooo tempted to call in help, but I dont want to ruin the experience for myself

Just keep using the columns to your advantage, BSB is actually one of the easier bosses. Also if you have that fire paper stuff make good use of it.

Pills too incase you get slow poisoned as that shit sucks.

Killed BSB on my first try no issues.

I'm really, really excited to see impressions on the enemies in the second half of the game from everyone. They become absolutely hellish looking and scary as shit. The designs in this game are better than any Souls game by far.

Yup, I've been loving it. I've seen everything from
those head exploding snake guys, to screaming ghosts, to cthulu head suckers, to giant moving skull piles, and just got to an area with these weird slug looking guys wearing graduation caps.

The art design has been on point all game.

The
centipede
horror in
Byrgenwerth
is one of the best looking enemies I've ever seen.

I've been impressed by pretty much every single enemy in this game.

Best enemy and boss designs ever in a videogame. Miyazaki truly is in a league of his own
Yeah I'm honestly floored by this game. It's leagues beyond the Souls games as far as enemy designs go and that's pretty damn impressive on its own.
So I've come across Yahar'gul, Unseen Village now. First Rom, now
god damn cthulu monsters everywhere
? This game is doing a damn good job of creeping me the hell out.

Make sure you find the key to the Upper Cathedral Ward from Yahar'gul. The final boss in that area is going to scare the shit out of you visually

I came up the ladder on the machine gun dude and he just blasted me off before I could take a step...

Game was literally at 1fps for at least a minute before that and now I have to suffer through that again. Ridiculous.

Is there a boss I'm supposed to be taking on after the
Cleric Beast?
I stumbled into
Gascoigne
by accident and it didn't feel like the right move. Also what a bitch of an arena huh?

I'm 99% sure hes the only option as a next boss at that point in the game. Time to work on your dodging!

haven't had as much time to play this as i'd like- maybe about 4 or 5 hours in. Ran into
Father G
before I could level and got my ass royally whipped.

leveled up a couple of times (health mostly, the cane to +2) then explored more and hit the cleric beast. Took about 3 times, but that last one was tough- no molotovs there, just melee. Loved the fight, but man, that camera!

He was an easy fight even the 'normal' way, but holy shit. Nerf axe. This is worse than the dual mace stuff in early DkS2.

Yeah, it's been nuts. The 'hunter' type enemies love to run right into it too which makes it easy to loop them.

Where to go after
Forbidden Woods? I thought I was overpowered because the boss of the area was easy as piss and I did it in one shot, but Byrgenwerth is seemingly impossible. Enemies are super long to kill and the NPC with the oneshot kill spells tells me I shouldn't be there.

Is fire or electric any use against Vicar? I have some fire paper and whatever the electric items are to apply to my weapon. Wondering if I should use or save them

Multiplayer isn't working for me at all. Not a single invasion since release and I can't summon somebody. Network setting is on Worldwide without a password and I have Nat2. It's frustrating.

Question about the Eilein:
So Eileen is a covenant too ? I found her laying almost dead by the Grand Cathedral, i went in and killed the hunter. After talking with her, i got the hunter rune and the badge for the set. In my game, she never left the Tomb where father G. was, i heard she was supposed to appear close to the Cathedral Ward lamp but never did in my game.

So for those who have beat the game and got the third ending
do you just have to have all the umbilical cords on you? Or eat them...and do you have to eat them at the same time? Also do you have to fight Pthumerian Queen first?

It gets more fucked up too. This game is legit scary.

Finally beat Father G after spending most of the fucking day on him. Human form isn't even that hard for the most part. Parried him twice, became beast form, before he transformed I threw an oil urn on him then a molotov and he almost died from that and then hit him once for the KO. What a relief, didn't think I was ever going to beat him. Eat all of my shit Father G, fucking all of it!!!

OK the
Machine Gun guy died chasing me down the ladder. What is he supposed to drop? All I got was a Hunter Badge. Is there supposed to be anything else?

The Witch in NG+ down.

Just as derp as in NG :lol

I peeked on over at the subreddit for this game...

So many people are saying they need to allow resting/warping from headstones/refill your vials when you go to a lamp

I gotta disagree. The current system is designed to discourage heavy farming. It is the game's way of telling you that having 20 vials for a boss fight is a handicap, not a necessity. It's the game telling you to use the rally system to get your health back. It's telling you that if you just blew through 20 vials on a boss, maybe try a different tactic or go somewhere else instead of bashing your head on a wall for hours. Also, not being able to rest makes bold hunter's mark more valuable when you are actually farming. Warping from lanterns would trivialize the brilliant shortcuts in the game. I find myself actually using them after they are unlocked. It's all a natural evolution of the Demon's Souls system, without letting you hold 100 healing items to abuse.

I definitely did get a little burnt out on farming vials in Central Y, but it gets better. Honestly some of the time I spent farming I should have attempted the boss I was stuck on without any vials instead.

I wouldnt mind a system of refilling your vials if you successfully help someone defeat a boss using the small bell. I only say this because it would be a much better way of refilling if you are out rather than farming early mobs, AND when you do end up helping people, you can't help for long because you end up running low after a boss or 2.

I took the same progression path you are, and did fine. The mobs there may hit hard but you only ever have to fight one at a time. You may have other options though, but its impossible to say without knowing what you have killed so far.

Alright for those asking I got an uncanny saw spear and an uncanny treaded cane from this dungeon 5n6277wn.

There's also like 4 Sage's Wrist and other goodies.

you have to use all 3 cords and choose "reject", and no you dont have to fight the queen

I used 2 fire papers on her and it seemed to help. Tried once without and killed her the second time.

I think I read somewhere that they are good for her.

Just found a shortcut from
Forbidden Woods
to Yharnam...holy shit. That solidifies my view that this has the most impressive level design of any game ever.

So in cathedral ward there is a cliff edge with notes saying to jump. Doesn't seem right.....

Pretty much any souls game with a note asking you to jump is always a troll trying to get people to commit suicide. And yet, they almost always get me because it might be a secret this time and I can always get more souls...

I came up the ladder on the machine gun dude and he just blasted me off before I could take a step...

You can actually just run back without fighting anyone. Takes about 45 seconds.

Sounds about right
for this series :)

DON'T. I found out the hard way.

I finished off Father G a bit earlier today. After he transformed, he got stuck floating above some tombstones in a t-pose. He didn't try to do anything so I just wailed on him until he died. It was sorta anticlimactic, but I'll take a glitch assisted win :D

The one that leads back
t to where you start the game ? Hehe yeah was surprised to end back there

endgame:
Im about to fight the wetnurse and i notice there is a bride standing below her room, who is she and what does she want?
