Finally fucking beat BSB in a nearly flawless run
Finally figured out the one major problem I have
Never knew that the one attack
in the third stage leaves a poison cloud in the area where he used the attack, I just thought u had to stay away from him while he shot out the poison not stay away from that area completely afterward

HOLY SHIT

NPC related (about 7 bosses in)
So for a while one of the NPCs I brough to the Catherdral Ward was dead, suspiciously after I brought an NPC I found in the Forrest back. While I suspected him I also suspected the red thing on the floor that requested I brought people over so I didn't act. After not being in the area for a while I came back and both the woman who gave blood treatment(?) and the red cloaked thing were both dead. I thought it was the Forrest guy's time to die so I attacked him, which turned him into an enormous beast who berated me for causing too much trouble in the town. This game man.

So the MID TO LATE GAME SPOILERS
Unseen village
is destroying me. Should I not have gone straight there after
Rom
, or is this how it's supposed to be?
I can't get past these guys on the stairs right near the lamp.

I just
ran past every damn thing
.

R.I.P. Eileen

I just kept shooting him with my pistol and basically let Eileen do most of the work, then at the end I used a couple of charge attacks with my cane. But since he killed Eileen in your playthrough that strat won't work anymore.

Yeah it sucks he killed me soon after
Eileen jumped in and I raced back there but was using the long route through central Yharnam instead of the ward area. When I got back they were still fighting and she died right as I engaged.

I just beat him though! I used the Kirkhammer as that weapon staggered him more allowing better combos. Also would use the gravestones for bullet cover. So many close calls. Intense fight!

Clearly, this game is a bit more non-linear than DS2- my third boss was
The Witch
and I have no idea if she optional or not.

Had a power cut and now my 50 hr save file is corrupted. I clicked on 're-create save file' but that just deleted the old one and now I have to start again. Fuck this.

WTF
So I'm in the forbidden woods, and I come across and old man looking for a safe haven, I hit him for shits and giggles and he turns into some fucking huge monster and it's terrifying :(

Jesus. Is there any way you can download the save from PS+ (if it perhaps auto-uploaded a cloud save)?

Is it worth me starting up the game tonight if I'm going to bed in half an hour or should I boot up Driveclub and start fresh tomorrow?

The MID GAME BOSS SPOILERS
Witch
was super easy. Got her first try.

I thought this was a huge difficulty spike, and I went there the same time as you.
If you're talking about the area I think, I dealt with it by sprinting past the people, getting inside, and taking out the bell ringing woman. Then another sprinting session after that.

I had major difficulty in the rest of it -- I managed to get through and beat the boss, who wasn't bad at all, after several co-op sessions, but I know there's still a bunch I missed.
I figured the solution was something like that. Thanks.

I recommend
not finishing it
and here's why:
I have no idea how I'm going to find all the Chalices for the dungeons. I skipped an optional boss and now I have a heck of a grind getting back there. I'm wondering what I'll do. I could just tough it up and make my way there; hoping I can do something. I could make another character or see what kind of rewards I get in the current 3 Chalice dungeons I have right now.

http://bloodborne.wiki.fextralife.com/Chalice+Dungeon Chalice list. I missed getting the Great Isz Chalice and I want the Isz Dungeon. I don't know what to do.

Holy shit I cannot beat
Father Gascoigne
. I can get it to the weapon switch and then
he
just introduces me to the dirt.

One thing that helped me a lot was knowing when to lock-on and when to just roll out of range.
Visceral Attack will be your best friend at this fight, try to parry him as much as you can.
Btw, it's my first 'souls' game and my last accomplishment was killing FG. lol

Loving the game so far!
Still have not encoutered any boss, but I believe it is harder then D. Souls indeed. Quite a time I don't play the Soul series already, but it seems the enemies in Bloodborne are indeed quite more agile and you need to rely almost 100% on agility since you mostly can't block.

ptdfuu.gif

the best thing about that attack is that if the door hadn't been there, this guy would have flown like 30 feet

Defeated this one on my 5th try or so.
The only part that's really hard is the final phase, and I managed to get through that with one well-timed parry.

Parrying is key with this boss, I would say.
He's
super aggressive so just firing your gun any time
he's
about to attack gives you a pretty good chance at a stun.

That's not a single attack. Once you're in the final stage of the fight BSB can buff itself to both leave poison trails behind it and increase the radius of the poison.

Well, I think I've found a really great way to farm Blood Echoes. Here's a quick rundown, as well as what you'll need.

You'll need:

Lecture Building
unlocked and most doors open. Optionally, the
second floor
as well.
10x Bold Hunter's Mask
Moon
Rune (increases Echoes from killing enemies) [Optional]
Eye
Rune (increases item drop rate) [Optional]

What you'll receive (after 10 runs):
~150,000 Echoes, (or ~300,000 Echoes if you also clear the
second floor
). Note: this already assumes that you're buying 10x more Bold Hunter's Mask (which costs about 12,000 Echoes).
10 Twin Bloodstone Shards (if you clear the
second floor
)
99 Quicksilver Bullets
Some Sedatives

What you do:
Note: before starting, I highly recommend selling all of your Quicksilver Bullets, otherwise you won't be able to pick up all of the ones that drop from enemies.

Start by spawning at the
first floor of the Lecture Building
. From there, head into the door directly to adjacent to the door you walk out of (head outside, turn right, walk a bit, turn right again). Inside this area should be a ton of
slimy students
. Kill all of them and pick up whatever they drop. Depending on what you have unlocked, you have a choice here:

1. If you have the
second floor
unlocked, go and
head up the ladder
. Kill the big guy guarding it for a Twin Bloodstone Shard, and then kill all of the
slimy students
up there to double the Echoes you got from the first floor enemies. Use your Bold Hunter's Mask to return to the starting lamp.
2. If you don't have the
second floor
unlocked, use your Bold Hunter's Mask to return to the starting lamp.

Whether or not you do the optional
second floor
is up to you. Overall the amount of Echoes you get are pretty close, and it works out to about 300,000 Echoes every 30ish minutes depending on how fast and powerful you are.

------------------------------

The main benefit of this is that it's fast, and very, very low-risk. One relatively quick loading screen per-run, as well as pretty easy enemies. I tried both approaches (only the
first floor
and the
first and second
) and time-wise it was pretty close to get to 300,000 Echoes. That's also fairly important, as you don't have to have the second floor unlocked to use this farming spot (so you can get to it relatively early if you rush to it).

An idle NPC came to life out of nowhere and I freaked out and accidentally killed it, thinking it was an enemy. Oh well, serves it right for scaring me like that.

Who's the next boss I should be encountering after BSB? I'm level 37 and I just got my ass handed to me by VA. Please don't tell its that one :(

My issue is panicking and then mashing the dodge button haha. I have the timing down only for one or two attacks for the counter, but I still manage to occasionally fuck it up.

So I beat my first boss, woo hoo! Preparing to try and beat father now.

I'm 12 hours in still trying to get out of the 1st area. But I'm a souls newbie. Took some getting used too.

So mid-late game NPC sidequest spoiler (after C
ainhurst Castle
)

Can anyone point me in the right direction for the Queenly Flesh item? Not sure if I just don't have the area open or if I just have to comb over old areas.

I can't wait until we understand the Beast mechanic

I really hope there's more to this that just hasn't been found. It's both really weird and disappointing if it legitimately does only affect a few weapons.

Random question: Since we know high Insight does stuff, has anyone managed to get to 99 and see if anything new shows up?

Where did you find the guy in the forest?

Still cannot beat the first boss. Either the camera goes full retard or i get stuck in a statue. Horrible design flaws

Lock onto him, it worked for me. Hit him a few times and dodge, don't get greedy. Once he goes crazy pelt him with molotov. I literally hit him with 8 in a row.

How come no one mentioned how Co Op is borderline unplayable. Was messing around with it tonight and it's like a 15 fps slogfest during fights.
