Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

Just beat the first boss, did the gun thing and dodging behind him and R1,R1,L1,L1 made it really easy.
Now I'm walking around like a headless chicke, any clues where I'm supposed to go now before I lose all my blood ore

So I'm fighting the second boss and I'm using the gravestones to separate us so I don't have to worry about his blunderbuss for the most part but when he changes in can't time his attacks correctly to parry and riposte him and the environment is screwing up my evasions and the camera is screwing me up. Should I lead him up the stairs to have a clear area to evade and not have to fight with the camera as well as have better light to see what attacks are coming? On attempt 15+ and can't summon help since insight is only 7

Don't you just need one insight to ring the bell to summon someone?

Any tips for the
Blood Starved Beast?
I've been trying that one for quite a while now and it always catches me off guard with a flurry or a
OHKO
.

I even broke my R2 trigger fighting him earlier (insert true Bloodborne begins here joke) which added an extra annoyance to the fight. It's 'fixed' for now but that's an extra 3.99 added to the bill to repair properly. All tips will be greatly appreciated by the triggers of my remaining prestine controller.

High rank and G rank monsters are harder than any bosses in Bloodborne, but obviously Bloodborne regular mobs can and will kill you.

Hm, okay, thanks for the response. Now, I hate to bring up MH again in a BB thread, but I'm not yet at G or high rank(just beat Shagaru Magala). I'm taking my time with a friend and we're going a little slow, but how are the BB bosses compared to Shagaru? I'd just like get a better feel for the game before diving in, as I have yet to take on high or G rank bosses - and thus, can't compare those.

Sure you can't summon help? You need 10 insight to be able to purchase the resonant bell which lets someone help you, but it only costs you 1 insight to ring the beckoning bell to have somebody come into your world. Also do you have the
music box
?

Why do people like the BSB and Vicar fight? These bosses AI is garbage. I'm not trying to be inflammatory, but all you need to do is dodge left, swing twice, repeat 20 times. There is no thinking involved and the fights are effortless. A lot of the bosses have some really bad AI loops in this game that completely trivialize them.

Those bad AI loops are a terrible glitch that people have to restart their systems to fix. Really sucks unless you want to just get a fight over with.

For V.
I am still getting hit by her huge ass arm.

Go back to the area where the wheelchair guy was. Go to the area where there are those two ogres. There should be a room with an elevator that takes you down. From that path you should be able to find your way to the second boss.

This frigging game. Everytime I think I have it figured out I find some crazy path or hidden area. Was exploring the F
or bidden Woods
and found a path that lead all the way back to
Iosfeka's Clinic
. Was saying "WTF" almost the entire time, had to make a video of it.
indeed, that shortcut made me say "Whaaa-?" too.

Hey folks, has anyone been doing the coop with friends using the password system ? Has it been working ok ? I've not actually tried it yet but a good friend of mine picked the game up so we'll probably do a bit together :) I know the coop seems to be a bit flawed at the minute so was wondering if the system was working ok.

Yes I do and try using it only after he is in beast form but the music box has a 3-5 sec delay and if I'm not close enough right after he turns he leaps on top of me while I'm still in the music box animation and then it's game over

The way the world is interconnected is just fantastic. Master class level design at work.

Best breakdown of the three games ever

I feel like BB is very much a case of one step forward, one step back.

The Atmosphere/animation and level design are the best they've ever been. But it also comes with a lack of variety within the environments to an extent.

The combat is also fast paced and fluid, but the need to farm vials/bullets should you ever run out really puts a dampener on things. The Estus system already fixed this problem from DeS so it's weird to see such an obvious regression.

And they managed to prove that the problem with DkS2 wasn't that you had fast travel from the start - it's that the world just wasn't designed quite as intricately. But then they also forget to give you images for each lantern, yet have several named awfully similarly (cathedral/church etc.). And you can't rest at a bonfire and set a checkpoint without loading into the hunter's dream first and then loading back in.

And the bugs. The last two bosses before
The First Hunter
both didn't use half their move-set on me. They were a complete cake walk and super underwhelming. I was at 60 insight so it's not like the game was meant to go easy on me or anything. The loss of souls for no reason has also been mentioned. I've also been killed despite not having been hit by anything (and no, I wasn't frenzied).

It's a great game, don' get me wrong. But maybe not quite the classic that DkS or DeS were.

bless my summon
I just died and they managed to finish off the BSB just in time
I didn't realize that would work, congrats!
The other day I joined someone's world to help in the fourth boss, and I was destroying it. I got cocky and died when it had a few hits left. The beckoner went out of his way to track my psn and thank me in a message, it felt good!

I give up on this game :( I love from so much as a developer and have always beat their games but I can't get over the frustration of the horrible coop mechanics (waiting an hour for a coop partner) and some of the ignorant mechanics like darkbeast yaarl.. Or whatever lol. Oh well, maybe dark souls 3 :)

Straight from the Cathedral Ward lamp up the stairs and immediately left.
And I can't access the lantern at the tomb anymore but she isn't moving. Hmm. Maybe something to do with the way I cleared the Cathedral Ward? I didn't buy that 10k badge to unlock the gate.
open that gate and kill the boss too, that should make her move.

ebrietas
is fucking my shit up. First boss I've hit a wall on. Any tips?
stay close to her (?), I did it with the lock-on. the 2 times I died was because of her fucking soulmass-like magic attack, it kept hitting and oneshotting me. during the fight which I won she didn't do it at all.
also I've read that she could do some other crazy attacks but maybe she does that only if you get far away. I was disappointed that I didn't see any of those attacks though. oh well

err... the
old lady
is gone from the church now and there is a
pool of blood in her place
>_>

Why are people waiting an hour for coop partners? If he ain't coming within a minute, he ain't coming. Try again. All you lose is Insight.

Just opened the gate and VA is already dead. Still nothing. I'll keep going and see if it changes.

How much +x Stat Scaling would I need to go up a letter? I have a gem that gives +12 SKL scaling, but my Hunter's Axe still stays at D if I equip it.

Because from ignorantly decided on using bells so noone actually knows there is a person looking for a coop partner. Instead of placing signs which is 100x more effective

He is way to tough.
2 hand axe +4 does almost no damage.
And the other guy is dead anyways.

Was that open all the time?

This guy was a pain in the ass and killed
Eileen
:( I ended up cheesing the motherfucker using poison knives and dodging. 9 knives plus a hit or 2 with my axe and i finally took him out lol

So I have this question and I realllllly need help (Early-mid NPC spoiler)

I spoke to eileen (with the crow outfit) in the sewers before I beat Father G. I haven't seen her till now and i'm up to the 8th boss I think. Am I fucked?

This is definitely the shortest souls game. (Or perhaps as short as demons)

Kind of disapointing in that regard. I fnished at around the 30 hr mark. It took me like 50+ for dark souls and dark souls II.

Might also be because I've gotten better at these games.
