So I have this question and I realllllly need help (Early-mid NPC spoiler)

I spoke to eileen (with the crow outfit) in the sewers before I beat Father G. I haven't seen her till now and i'm up to the 8th boss I think. Am I fucked?

She should've shown up just outside the chapel sometime around beating the 3rd or 4th boss. So yeah, I think that ship sailed for you.

Ok this baring in mind I haven't read any outside information on the lore other than what I got from the game, and I wasn't making notes or anything. My theory is pretty out there so maybe it's total bullshit, it's what I've come me trying to piece the different bits together in my mind. But here goes:
so is the story basically about a guy (physics lecturer?) who's wife and child have been murdered and how he's having nightmares about it and battling his demon's
. Or something along those lines?

Don't laugh at me!

So how do Chalice Dungeons work? I just left the first one at layer 3. Can I jump back in at layer 3? Do I need to use another item to get back in? Or is the ritual permanent?

So for those people wondering why they have not meet the crow lady again
I only meet her once in the beginning of the game. I thought she was to appear at Father G fighting another hunter. And I never meet her outside the chapel as well. I thought it was bugged. Currently near the end of the game and suddenly found her again at the Grand Cathedral. Of course she has gone insane and tried to kill me.

I now know that I'm supposed to go to
Cathedral Ward after defeating BSB
, but HOW was I supposed to know this. What did I miss?

One of the wheelchair mob has shotgunned me off a ledge to my death two times now in this area, and one time I rolled off the same spot dodging the bullets. Just rage-put my PS4 into standby to gather myself.

Yup location here
Chalice dungeon
, my vid of her here
/www.youtube.com/watch?v=2tkOYblc_GE
. More detailed idea of how to get to her,
Keep progresing through the Pthumeru chalice, you also need the loran chalice at one point, so you can craft chalice on the pthmeru path

Thank you sooo much. Feels like I was looking forever.

What was that ending.

Which ending did you get?

I about shit my pants in old Yharnam when
that fucking werewolf comes busting out of the house

Also almost beat BSB in my first try with only 4 remaining but I forgot to equip my antidotes to the touchpad buttons so I was f'ed when it got me

As long as you leave the chalice on the gravestone you can go back to any lamp whenever you like, for free.

Question, did you open that gate near the Cathedral with the Hunters badge? Because I didn't and now I think it's bugged.

I saw her in the beginning too, but she hasn't showed up for me still, even in the Grand Cathedral late game.

How late is late game for you? Where are you up to?
The big bad wolf is DEAD!!! WOOOO!!!

Breh... you are in for a rough time.

Not at all. Who your hunter is in this game seems to be sort of circumstantial. You're an outsider looking to get healed by Yharnum technology and blood ministration.
The source of the blood possibly being the pregnant vampire queen at the end of the labyrinth dungeons
What you find instead is
a city infected, (perhaps trapped in a nightmare) and a church who has dealings and pray to cosmic monsters
.

Was watching ENB's Bloodborne vids (4 and 5) for the last two hours. I learned I missed several items in Old Yharnam:
Rifle Spear
and
Charred Clothes

whoa, thanks for the heads up, had no idea those were there, even though i already bought the
Rifle Spear
lol.

The multiplayer setup (coop costing Insight) is making me miss Dark Souls II. Didn't think that would happen.

Guess Scholar of the First Sin might be a better time sink than I've been thinking.

Awesome. I really like what I played of the Chalice Dungeon, I can see that really extending the life of this game (not that it's short on content at all!)

No no. I picked the axe on my first plahthrough. Cane on my restart is easy mode, and it's not ugly as sin to boot.

Cane's so good it feels unfair. I just beat
Rom
and I don't even own any other weapons.

The axe straight up breaks bosses by stunlocking them. I'm not saying the cane is unusable, but the axe is ridiculous starting out. I think most people would agree on that.

NPC in the Hunter's Dream tells you to go to the Tomb of Oedon or whatever. So you know the Cathedral is in the ballpark.

So i just destroyed D
arkbeast
P
aarl
after getting rekt by him 5 times.I litterally killed it in 30 seconds damn

Ok! But what's with all the dreams and nightmares, the
crying bride with blood on her dress, and the baby
?

That would be crazy awesome if true.

How do you factor in the aliens though?

I mean the bosses that that works on aren't that hard in the first place though. The great thing about the cane is how useful it is in just beating mobs of enemies and shit. The forest for example is so easy as long as you don't get sloppy.

Have they ever announced anything in regard to having DLC later on for this game?

The Dark Souls games DLC was announced long after release. I would be we heard word in a month or two.

Edit: the DLC for both DkS games are excellent, as good or better than the best stuff in the main games.

I expect for Bloodborne at least one AotA style expansion, but also there's a chance they'll make additional Chalices to buy as expansion packs while we wait on Bloodborne 2.

All this NPC talk.. did you guys use a guide? I have no idea who most of these people are from normal play. I never encountered most of them.

Is it just me or are people's specters flaky? I hit X to view them but I'll see their outlines and deaths maybe, maybe 20% of the time. Most of the time I hit X, the lil guys disappear into the floor taking their grave with them, and then... nothing happens. It just whiffs. Notes and everything else are just fine - its just the player deaths that are hit or miss, and mostly miss.

Also, the lock-on seems flaky at times too, and there's real danger when that happens. In some cases its enemies hiding behind something - even when you can see them clearly and line yourself up you can't target them until they're as good as lunging at you. Other times there are just small patches of areas where lock-on just won't work worth at all, regardless of objects between you and the enemy.

I'm really enjoying the oppressive moodiness, the Gothic design and imposing verticality, the sleek animations, the truly wondrous sense of discovery, the potent risk vs. reward adventuring loop and the combat that always requires your complete attention - BUT the jank and technical issues bring the experience down a few notches. Its playable, definitely, but it should've launched after another polish run and a solid patch. The gameplay begs for instant load times and without that being the case returning to the dream feels more like a slow hassle than and honest respite.

And on that note - is there a way to change your current lamp/checkpoint without going through the dream and facing two long load times? I've enjoyed long runs across the world, but when I die I don't awaken at the nearest lamp, but the last one I entered the world from, which is a problem when you want to recover those echoes - and if I want to re-enter the world from somewhere closer to where I just died I have to go back into the dream (long load) and select a new lamp to awaken from (long load). Is there a better way?

Sorry if this is a stupid question but, where is the chalice dungeon? Did i pass it or would it be fairly obvious if i keep playing. At old yarnhum by the way.

Why are there all these Spectre things dotted about when half of them don't do anything? I click on it and nothing comes up they just sink into the ground.

On an unrelated note, I'm absolutely loving the sound design.

The Dark Souls games DLC was announced long after release. I would be we heard word in a month or two.

Not to mention Miyazaki said the only reason the DLC was released is because Artorias of the Abyss was meant to be in the main game but left out due to time constraints, when the team ported the game to PC, they finished off the section and released it as DLC.

Question regarding weapons and scaling. I'm currently using the Ludwig's Holy Blade and I see that it has Strength, Skill and Arcane Scaling. How does scaling work exactly? Does each stats' modifier effect my overall damage or does the game only take into account my highest stat?

I currently have 18 strength, 12 skill and 7 arcane, if I level up skill and arcane, will I see my damage go up as well or will it not matter because my Strength stat is too way higher than the other 2?

Question: I'm at the boss in B
yrgenwerth
and I have all this insight but nothing to trade for. What can I do to get stuff

Ok! But what's with all the dreams and nightmares, the
crying bride with blood on her dress, and the baby
?

The crying bride is Yharnum, Pthumerian Queen. She seems to be some sort of vampire or monster. It's safe to say she's probably the "source" of blood that was found underneath the church.

The dream and nightmare stuff is definitely more complicated. The Hunter's Dream is a safe place, a refuge created by Gehrman or at the very least administrated by him. Meanwhile there's a boss character called Micolash, Host of the Nightmare which would imply his dominion over the hellish place you're in.

Is the electric maze any good?
I could sell it for 13k. :O

Tornitrus? It's godlike with an Arcane build.

You have to choose between Strength + Skill or Arcane build for Ludwig. Basically when you put in gems you are either choosing between Physical or an element. If you choose an elemental gem then your skill/str scaling is ignored. If you don't have an element gem in your weapon and just physical then the weapon takes the scaling of your str/skl but not Arcane.

TL:DR version : If you are going for a physical build then max str/skill, if going for an elemental build then get Arcane.

Omfg are you shitting me? I've just started. First proper go at a 'Souls' game. I died a few times to this werewolf thing, I find a pistol in the Dream place. Takes me like 10 minutes working out how to equip the damn thing, but at least it packs a punch.

I go back and wittle tbe Werewolves health down to a tiny tiny sliver, I'm talking the teo white bars either side are nearly touching, and the piece of crap manages to get a final swipe in with its claws! Gahhhhhh!! Ndhehwiwuwgnwkfiry!!!!

Is there a way to sneak up on this damn thing? A crouch/stealth button to smack its ass?

Make sure you get the melee weapon from hunters dream as well.
