how do you do a backstab in this game? is it hold r1 like the parry/visceral? i feel like a hippo myself in this game. can't sneak up on anyone...lol

Hold R2 for the visceral attack only when you sneak up on an enemy though. In combat there really isnt a backstab like we had in souls

hi blood-gaf, quick question.

Does this game have an oswald of carim, cause i dun goofed, an i want to make it right.

If the gunner falls off the roof where can I find my rewards?
Quit the game, then reload it and go back to the top of the tower, you loot will be there.

I dont know. I dont think you can because I have tried with no luck.

I think there is just a super powerful attack you do to follow up on after you stagger a enamel (like with a gun or powerful attack or something) and it works if you are behind or in front

Took down rom but his little friends took me down at the same time so I had to run back to see the cutscene. I'm in the unseen village now and man is that place is nasty.

So how do I get to Vicar Amelia?

You need to purchase the H

from the Bath Messenger Merchant (one that uses Echoes for currency), and then unlock
the gate at the top of the large staircase
. She'll be
all the way at the top inside the Cathedral
.

So just exploring Forgotten Woods and accidentally came across the
Shadow of Yharnam
.

1st try.

I had no choice. I had been rolling around with about 75k echoes just exploring and farming some echoes for a bit. I HAD NO CHOICE DAMMIT.

The third phase
was rough. Had to pop a Fire Paper to win.

Yeeeeep, first try for me as well.

It was tense as HELL, and it took me a long, long time with an overabundance of caution and waiting for just the right times to strike.

One of the most memorable boss fight moments ever in the series for me due to the circumstances. Also, dat mid-fight "plot twist".

Thanks!

I'm sad he fell off though cause I think I was gonna beat him fair and square. The first time I went up there i was too slow on the ladder and he blew me off the roof as soon as I got up there.

Sweet merciful shortcut Wooooooo

Thanks, wasn't sure how to get by that gate.

It's really easy.

Were the bosses
Zombie Giant and the Watchers?
If so, yeah that's just a default. It has three floors.

Thanks for the answer. Yeah, that was it. I'm looking forward to producing my own unique one. I'm on Floor 3 now. I may try to finish it later.

Holy fuck, Chalice Dungeon bosses are pretty goddamn awesome even when they are sometimes just a remix of something else we've already seen. Just had such a delightful shocking surprise as I walked through a boss door.

Is there anywhere to get twin blood stones before VA? I have 2 and need 1 more to upgrade my cleaver.

Also be sure to mop up any of the crystal lizard things you may have missed.

end of alfred's questline
kinda felt shitty for allowing him to go to cainhurst after seeing what he did, figured he was our sunbro
it's like there's no ray of hope AT ALL in this game, no matter what choices you make, no matter who you encounter, it all leads to misery. Makes the Souls games look like sesame street.

Are HL and UV in the area to the left right before
Amelia's
entrance? Or is one of those in the 10k gate?

I got to the final boss of the lower Pthumeru Chalice, the
Bloodletting Beast
. That thing seems pretty rough, one of its attacks killed me instantly from full health :/
I stayed close, if youre far away sprint and jump into him. That reach attack destroys you. He does stomp so be careful.
