Yep, I'm finally done with the Souls series. I just suck too much at these games. I have been stuck in the first area (Central Yarnham) for 7 hours now. I need "hand holding" in my games. There is no fun to be had for me in these games. They make me rage too much. It's not healthy.

What are you stuck on? Have you reached Cleric yet? If so, level up Agility, Endurance and whatever weapon type you're using (strength and skill) and you should be able to breeze through the mobs. At just level 23 I could mow them down if I wanted to go through that section again with little fear of dying.

I'm really struggling with understanding some of the details of weapon stats. I don't know what thrust and blunt actually are, I don't know really what determines a str weapon and a skill weapon, I'm only relying on intuition about somethings but im not sure. I need your help blood gaf!

Thrust is well, the damage you do with thrust attacks. Blunt i'm assuming blunt stuff, altough i haven't found alot of blunt weapons, so that might be slashing in general or something.
Near the weapons stat requirements you see letters ranging from A to E, these tell you how good the scaling that attribute has on your weapon, giving you an overall higher damage.
A (or S, altough i don't know if that exists in Bloodborne) is what you want, so if you find a weapon with good skill scaling, and you're a skill character. You might wanna use that weapon since it would work alot more effectively than if you had like 30 skill and used a strength based weapon, while your strength was like 10.

Haul ass and find the bell maidens that are causing the respawning. Then after you learn the area, haul ass down the stairs to the lamp while avoiding the laser. Now learn the next section and haul ass to the 3 hunters. Kill them, learn the rest of the area and then haul ass to the boss.

This area is abhorrent and that is the best way to get through it.

So I just got summoned for coop the first time. I was surprised that when I died I was brought back into my world at a lamp instead of where I rang the bell. Not a great change for people that like to do coop outside of boss rooms

Beat the BSB and got the first chalice. Loving the game so far!

I finished the first chalice dungeon. Got the level one root chalice and the level two chalice. I can open the second but don't have all the things for the root. Do I redo the first dungeon or just try the second. Should I keep the first chalice open or take it off. Just looking for some chalice strategy.

I agree. The reach is insane and 3X R1 kills everything except upper tier enemies and bosses.

What are some good areas to farm echoes? I just beat BSB and want to grab Ludwig's sword and level up some before I continue.

The shortcut route to BSB has those werewolves, killing them all nets 6k+ echoes.

Nah dude, too slow and takes up too much stamina. Cane is easy mode, you just need some patience. Does the same thing as R2 with less start up, more range, and less cool down.

I never locked onto him, and just ran under his body as he went to attack. Attack his legs to stagger him and get a front stab.

Depends on the weapon you are mainly using. I believe 25 (?) is the soft cap for Strength, Skill, Bloodtinge and Arcane. And the soft cap for Vitality and Endurance is 30 (?). Since I am using the Holy Sword, it scales with strength and skill. I started leveling up skill once I hit the soft cap for strength. Some weapons such as the Blade Of Mercy only scale with Skill.

This happened to me and I killed him. I did not even bother talk to him, I thought he was eating a corpse when I found him so I immediately attacked. Was easy just cheesing him through the door you come out of on the roof.

He doesnt poison himself, he uses the chikage katana which uses health to buff itself, needles to say the AI likes to be buffed

There is a drop down where the hunter is patrolling beneath the tower with the mini gun guy, But I think to unlock the shortcut you unlock the door at the top of the tower were the wolf bursts through the door

No, just trade offs and aesthetic differences. The game allows you to look how you want to look.

Just stumbled upon Nightmare Frontier and holy fuck. Made it in a ways and encountered those new beasts... Nope. Not now, maybe later. Nasty shit. Those two hunters... eesh. Don't even want to think about what the boss is like for that area. The second one you mentioned made me go through my entire vial reserves before I beat it.
