I fought him once but he attacked me immediately as I reached the top.
Whats the special thing?

From what I understand you have to kill
Darkbeast Paarl in the optional area to get him to become friendly. Unfortunately it seems like that area is pretty tough. I tried going there after killing the boss of Old Yharnam and the bag carrying mobs were taking out a lot of my health each hit.
What do you have to do to make him friendly? Any benefit to that?
^

The only benefit is getting an extra gesture it seems.

btw, like many that finished said, the game is deffinately shorter than the souls games. im at 33 hours and a bit, give or take some afk time when I went to walk the dogs and whatnot, and ive done almost everything in the game. Ill probably finish it tomorow at around 35-36 hours. Im very average at these games, the first Dark Souls (my first souls game) took me 80 or so hours to finish (well, it WAS my first, I didnt know what the hell I was doing), DS2 took me about 40-50 if I remember because I was much more familiar with the systems.

I dont mean this as a slight on the game btw, just as a statement of fact. I think the lenght is perfect, but then again, I dont have THAT much free time these days, so im partial to games becoming shorter (not that 35 hours or whatever I finish it at is short lol)

Not that much free time? 33 hours since WED says otherwise, hahaha

two questions:

1. To get the best ending do you have to do anything other than
just HAVE the three umbilical cord items in your inventory?

2. Do you get anything of value from beating
Daughter of the Cosmos?

2.
You get a Chalice Dungeon item IIRC. You also get access to an altar behind her which can resurrect Annalise the Vileblood Queen if Alfred kills her

so Im knocking on doors near where you speak to the
whore and the other dude that doesnt trust you
theres a couple more doors down the way that before said some generice stuff, but now they both tell me to go to the shrouded church to the right of the chapel
im at what I assume is the shrouded church, guarded by two axe guys that has a dish in the middle and a locked door that if I stand around will get me killed by some unseen thing
am I supposed to be here yet or is this a come back later kinda thing

sorry for the wall of spoiler

1 - aparently you ned to use
(eat)
them before the last boss

2 - where is that boss?

2. You need to get the key to the top of the Church Workshop, which is found
off of a ledge near where the monster shoots the laser beam.
Then you just go through that whole new area, fight a boss, break the glass window, and continue through

Anyone?

Does upgrading firearms increase their parrying ability/stun? I don't see a stat for it and could care less how much raw damage they do.

Did anyone give you a stone?

Thanks, oh and that reminds me
do you know where Alfred is at the end of the game? I want to give him the item so that I can get the Wheel. He gives you that right?

Wow, finally got a summons and he died from the first little spider in 5 secs. Unreal. Lets help each other out.

That would be awesome! You can add my PSN if you want and we can figure out a password from there. I have the GAF one in right now but no one's appeared. PSN's the same as my GAF username :)

If I want the third
umbilical cord
,
should I send Arianna
to Oedon's Chapel or Iosefka's Clinic? I tried googling it, but I found conflicting results.

Either is fine. You can get a cord from Iosefka but only after you kill Rom. If you send her to the Chapel she will be in the sewer after you kill Amygdala and you can get one there.

Got to vicar and just decided to bounce. Got a few hits in and could see it wasnt going to end well. Decided to level up and make my way back. Any tips for it? This is my 4th boss and I'm a lvl 30. Should I fight it or find something else?

So many different places to go now. @_@

Found the top hat gear, I am now rocking a gentleman look with the threaded cane, going to take something special for me to give that up.

Got killed by
a bag man
, ended up in
the Unseen Village
, died 4-5 times trying to get out, finally dropped out
into a courtyard with Darkbeast Paarl
, died in short order.

Time for a break.

For me I found him near the door to the Forbidden Woods, told him about the Vilebloods (after doing Cainhurst Castle). If you send him to kill Annalise and warp to the throne room and talk to him he will give you a gesture and the mark to buy the wheel

Yeah the echoes escalates quickly in NG+. I've run around carrying like 5mil echoes.

Man, father Gascoigne felt like the real first boss of the game. I was screaming like a fucking maniac the entire fight, specially when he
transformed
. So fucking good.

Have you been able to get a good amount of pvp matches so far? I can see the meta being at 75 easily but 100 is also a good number

Yeah the pvp have so far been pretty active in the late game. I can imagine the meta going down after everyone gets more understanding of the game mechanics. Afterall, it's only been like 5-6 days.

Still don't know any dedicated pvp spots, but
nightmare frontier
seems like the most active area right now.

So, I just died and woke up inside
a prison cell
..
Get out of there if you're not around endgame.
First, you should go down the stairs for some goodies (if you want to, there's no danger there), then return to where you started and climb the stairs going up this time. Try not to fight any enemies, and go up the stairs again to reach a room with a lantern that will return you to the Hunter's Dream.

Could anybody give me ahand here:

I just made The One
Reborn
my bitch, easiest boss so far.
I already cleared the Unseen Village and the L
ecture Building, there seems to be a second floor to it, but I didn´t found it.

Where should I got next??

Should be around 35 to fight her, but she's the
"next" boss you're supposed to be facing and mandatory.

There's another area to the left of her Cathedral you could try, but those enemies are also pretty tough.

Snakes killed me. Honestly, fuck this boss. It's like getting ganked in Darkmoon Forest. Ichigatana, pyromancy flame and gold trimmed armor.

All that's missing is the ninja flips.
