the only boss I have available at this point? I went into the fight with 60k echoes and had planned on using one of the items that returns you to the last lamp you used when I was close to death just so I could learn its moves, but I ended up dying. I then ran back with the intent of grabbing the echoes and warping out, but they weren;t there. All I can think of is that they went up to one of the women on the balconies, y'know the enemies you CAN'T FUCKING REACH.

Needless to say I'm pissed off and don't want to see the damn boss for a while.

To reach them you use a magical thing called stairs. ;)

That boss is mandatory, so unless you have any optional areas discovered you're going to be doing this next. You can run to the back and to the right to find a staircase! It's a pretty easy boss when those enemies are dead and you stay mobile

I can't get over how beautiful this game is. It's like I'm playing some fine art. That might sound like a ridiculous statement, but honestly...
Cainhurst. Especially when you equip the crown and go into the hidden room. Wow.

I want more. A lot more. Please let me stay alive long enough for the next Miyazaki game.

Run to the far end, there's a set of stairs on each side going up
;p.

Direct homage to
Tower Knight
in demons. killing sniper is part of the deal.

Well well, have the tides changed. I was actually able to play online (first time since launch for me) so I was instantly jazzed this afternoon. I said I feel good let's tackle this "cleric beast"! Go in, die within 30 seconds. Damn, maybe I just suck at this game.

Fuck it, let me try this again, I'll be more patient this time. This time I killed that little bitch while only taking a little bit of damage. Holy batshit, the smile I had on my face. Dat feeling of accomplishment. I feel like I get it now and while I know this type of post has been posted many a time, it just feels good. I think I'm hooked. :)

Indeed, bloodborne dlc plz.

Just for the new environments.

Oh, no. Where do I get it?

When do I use them?
You know the part where you go up to an elevator mid way through the zone? While going up a window appears in the way that you can jump through. Go through the area with the brain enemies/rats and there will be a hole in the floor. Work your way outside and there will be a bunch of rocks with a ton of good loot. On the right there would be a square area where you need to drop to get the single Blood Rock.

Make sure you kill the
Mother Brain first though.

The game is indeed amazing to behold. All of the vistas in Hemwick Charnel Lane were especially breathtaking for me and my tastes. We be
Sleepy Hollow
now.

When do I use them?

Mergo's Loft: Base lantern. Take the elevator up, then take the 2nd elevator and jump through the opening when it comes up. There's an entire area for you to explore there but it's a bit difficult. I don't want to spoil any of the fun so if you don't find the rock after exploring this area I'll explain more. There's also another area you get to with a key where the boss fight was on the left side when first entering the misty area.

So, I'm at the gatling gun dude with my +2 cane. I have enough blood stone shards to upgrade my whip. Should I spend all the hard earned shards to upgrade my weapon +3, or hold off on that and save it for a different weapon?

I really hate the new blood echos drop system. Sometimes enemies will take them which is actually neat but other times they end up no where close to where you died and you have to run around looking for them.

So what's this
baby
we can kill? Was that before
wet nurse
boss?

I killed it after the
Wet Nurse, you need to send the prostitute to the Chapel, when you see a big bloodstain and a trail of blood, go down the ladder and she's sitting there crying next to the "baby"

Is there any downside to making my weapon fire-based with that extra bloodstone? I'm doing a lot of damage on regular enemies, but I'm worried some special enemy/boss/whatever will be fire resistant and I'll be doing there doing shit damage to it.

These little snakes. FUCK THESE SNAKES.

No one likes that fight because its almost impossible to get a summon there IMO. My strategy was pretty easy:
Two hand your wep, ignore adds, run to his ass, R2 charge, run away, repeat, dodge meteors, win.

That's the way I killed R
om
, did it in one shot solo (playing offline in Bell Maiden zones because fuck unannounced invasions) and didn't know it was supposed to be hard.

I found E
breitas
much tougher, that damn tackle is hard to dodge even if you see it coming.

Hemwick Charnel Lane at night is my favorite area of the game. Just feels like a really twisted children's fairy tale.

I'm not interested in PvP right now. I'm not ringing my bell. But every time I explore the
nightmare
area I am getting invaded. What do I do?

Lock on fucked me up on E
breitas
so bad, you sidestep right into that.

...actually lock on in general seemed to hurt me more than it helped in most fights. I noticed I haven't been using it much at all lately.

I've only seen it at night. Is it possible to see it at sunset? Perhaps by going there before you beat VA?
Yep, exactly. If you go there before beating Amelia it's a dusky sunset. Also looks cool, but I think I prefer the nighttime version.

If you like the cane you should stick to it. I have 4 bosses down now with a +6 cane, it's awesome!

Huh, note to self to look that up later on YouTube. I've only seen the nighttime version. Like you said, it's incredible. When you see the first area with the witches spinning in circles, cackling maniacally... Goddamn. Chills all over.

I hope a patch makes it so you can buy Bloodstone Chunks like how they patched in the ability to buy Twinkling Titanite in Dark Souls. So tedious trying to get them to drop.

Finally opened the main shortcut in
Upper Cathedral
. This might be one of the most legit tense and scary parts of the game. The forboding atmosphere and tough enemies definitely were effective. I'm surprised it's an optional area.

Just wait for the boss.
