Huh? once I got him down to certain amount of health he starts only using melee. If he's a joke I bet your boss was bugged. He has a ton of moves and rarely uses his melee attack

My god I love this game. Forbidden woods is insanely huge and easy to get lost. Found the first shortcut which is relieving.
First souls experience and boy am I loving it to death. Slowly creeping it's way up my all time games list.

Do you have to do the defiled version of chalice dungeons?

Nope!Is therr a way here to reset/reallocate stat points? Like that vessel in ds2?

you sure your insight wasn't super high? If so then good news for me I guess.he used melee all the time as long as I kept close
Yeah, she is in the chapel right now. I'm basically just thinking of where to go next. I just beat theDo you know who she is? If not you best start knocking on doors in cathedral ward. Send her to the chapel. I don't know if you need to keep talking to her, but there's a particular event near the end game where she moves to another location and you'll need to find her
So is there any way of reliably avoiding Rprojectiles or do you just roll and hope for the best (seems like the theme of this fight)? Kind of annoyed the game took me from one boss to another without a real area to do inbetween.om's
Did you? It drops one and you can buy more for 10 insight after.Kill the giant brain thing in the nightmare frontier

No but you edited your post after I read it so I missed your comment. Thanks! I don't know how tothough. Thanks!find the next floor
Nope!
I do wish they had taken just a few things from dark souls 2. Like just 1 respec would have been nice.
I also mice bonfire ascetics
There is a ladder that goes from the floor you need to go down to the one where you were, so look in every room for a ladder going up basically
For some reason I spawned in the second floor already, so I actually missed frontier until I went back there and check that ladder

For all the sh*t that DkS2 gets about being 'B Team', they actually did a lot of stuff better.
1) Showing a picture next to a warp zone's name (we have three on the first tombstone with variations of church/cathedral etc. Shit is confusing yo).
2) Allowing for a respec - it's an RPG, you never know what you like until you've been using it for ages. I wasted some points in arcane just to try the spells I got and was totally unimpressed. Regret that a bit now.
3) Bosses may not have been as memorable as BB or DkS1 but at least they always used their entire move-set. Massive AI glitches in this game.
4) More variety in the environments (although nowhere near as intricately designed).
5) Matchmaking that actually worked properly on launch, the first for a Souls game (and only one so far).
My version was exactly like this except he stop using magic after I got him down to a certain amount and started using the moves that I boldedMy insight was like 12 or something. You guys had bugged encounter. His moves:
-Flying Divebomb
-Powerup that makes him immune to backstabs and stagger
-Stabs something in ground, shoots out crap everywhere until you destroy it.
-Big explody skull
-Line of skulls
-That 3 hit melee attack
-That big huge swirly skulls of death
-That aoe explosion
Not to mention 2 phases.
Easily the hardest boss in the game so far.
Ok I am really confused and I'm not sure if I experienced a glitch or not. I don't know where to go next in my game to progress the story. Please help.
So I defeated Rom, and then I saw a scene and then I teleported to (Unseen village?) a big round tall room, and then I got killed by a big spider thing that was hiding above me. And then I revived in the lecture hall. And then I went to the nightmare frontier and killed the boss. And now I am in Hunter's dream and I can teleport to the lecture Building and I can teleport to the nightmare frontier but I can't teleport to the Unseen village (it wont allow me) and I don't know how to get to the second floor of the lecture Building (if that is what I am supposed to do).

For the life of me I cannot beat fucking. His projectiles eventually get me and that's it.Rom
Hrm. From what I understand, that's the area where you fightYeah that hunter was a huge pain in the ass
Difficulty on that fight does not determine if ur ready for the area
However if u continue on in that area a lot of stuff in the main world will change so u may want to go to other areas first anyway
|OT3| You've come to the right place

So I ended up in the Hypogean Gaol earlier in the game after a Snatcher killed me. Upon leaving the place I ran into Darkand got wiped out. Anyways I'm now level 55, went back to fight him and damn, he's such a pushover, despite his awesomely imposing looks.Beast Paarl
I even think that, had I gone back straight away after my first encounter with him before when I was much lower level, I could have still killed him with ease. Not sure if it was because I was using Kirkhammer+5 (w/ Bolt Paper buff) but he barely got a chance to stand up. Pretty sure I stunned the poor guy 3 times in a row with the hammer mode activated. Even his patterns are quite easy to deal with and he leaves himself open quite often, especially if you stay underneath him.
Fun fight, though. Man, this game. THIS GAME!
Just killedRom.
Taking a break from pve. Been doing alot of invading. Forbidden Forest is the perfect invasion map. Tons of traps at my disposal. There's been quite a few times where I was out numbered 3 to 1. Made use of all the traps and mob ambushes I could.
Prey Slaughtered.
Feels good to win when the odds are against you.
Also, showing your current armor stats when you are going to buy new armor to compare..

what's a good level to invade at forbidden? I was trying to invade around there at level 60, and figured maybe my level was too high because I couldn't get any invasions.
U need to go back to the room where u got grabbed and continue through that doorway to the unseen village
It is to the right of vicar Amelia area when u are on ur way up the stairs past a big church with two hunters in front of it and down a ways
Just don't get grabbed again
Ok so I have a few fire/bolt "bloodgems", but I have no idea how to make them work because they don't scale for FUCK with STR or SKILL. Whats the point of them? Like I made my Luciens sword FIRE but it was garbage compred to my Kirkhammer that was all STR. How do we get Fire weps to be good?
What's up with the 4th rune slot?
