Bloodborne |OT2| Praise The Moon

First time posting in this thread, as I wanted to try and finish the game unaided on first playthrough, but Vicar Amelia is pushing my shit in and I wanted to check I hadn't missed something obvious.

I've got a Saw Cleaver and Hunter Axe, both at +4, Strength 17 and Skill 10. I just can't seem to do enough damage to her,
as when she starts healing I rush her but she keeps getting too much health back and it feels like I'm fighting a losing battle. Every failed attempt is another 20 Blood Vials gone.

I also think I need to kill her to progress so I can't 'come back later'. I've beaten BsB and The Witch of Hemlock, and can't think of any more unexplored paths.

Any advice much appreciated.
fire paper helps, as does numbing mists to stop her healing.

I found a boss I just can't seem to beat, he is relentless
abhorrent beast
in a chalice dungeon.....

I moved on to the defiled dungeon and LOL at this, seriously the guy that invented these was a sadistic mofo.

Didn't encounter single glitch, 30hrs playing. What are them many "shitty glitches" you are talking about?
I've had enemies suddenly decide that their planet needs them and get stuck in the ceiling on their way up. There's plenty of jank stuff like that.

The only other glitch I know of is the (yet another) dupe glitch. GG FromSoft.

If you have numbing mist use it when she heals. Otherwise you need more DPS to negate her healing or to get lucky and hope she doesn't heal. When she hit her healing phase, 9 times out of 10 if she jumps back she's looking to heal, so close the distance as fast as you can and start wacking.

You should have some numbing mist but at that point in the game I couldn't find anywhere to buy it. So you might want to be careful about using it. It opened up a vendor a little later, for me at least

Where can I get a new weapon? My axe is already +6. I want something new.

Ludwig's Holy Blade, yo! Right side of the Cathedral Ward opens up after you beat BSB, then climb up and claim your badge. 20k Blood Echoes to purchase.

Tonitrus can be picked up at the
Unseen Village if you let those sack wielding dudes kill you and teleport you there
.

Rifle Spear can be found on a ledge you drop down from on the right (hidden path) right by the fountain area where the Gatling gun guy is shooting at you.

Or for best weapon, that is blades of mercy, complete Eileens questline. Or just kill her. But lets just say that easier said then done

Any tips for R
om, the vacouos spider
? I am level 46.

I had a shit load of trouble with this one.
The most frustrating aspect of the fight is the missiles, which for some reason always seem to hit. What I found is that if you stay close enough he won't shoot so much; occasionally, but not so much. His AoE attack is easily rollable. And if you stay close enough but not too close you can finish off most of his spiders to start hitting him safely.

Some people say just pommel him with bolt paper (does a ton extra damage if you have it) and ignore spiders. Ignoring spiders was a no go for me because their jump attacks one shot you and you can not really see where they're coming from.

abhorrent beast
isn't that bad once you figured out his pattern: stay away from him, so he does a triple strike combo, as the 3rd strike is about to land, jump towards him and strike him. the 2nd phase is much easier as he does a move where he throws his head on the ground and you can easily get one strike in and than jump back again. third phase is where it's at, haven't found a reliable method besides just knowing your i-frames and the moveset of the boss. in 3rd phase he does a strike from bottom upwards, after that you can jump slightly behind him and strike him there. don't go for the head in 3rd phase because he does a nasty electro attack which will one-hit you. but yeah, 3rd phase is really hard and probably not possible without having fought the boss dozens of time (so you get the muscle memory).

as for defiled chalice. fuck that. the
guarddog
-boss in there is probably the hardest boss of the game.

When you're running from the ice shards, either be running directly away from
rom
, or directly toward him. Anything else usually results in one of them hitting you.

I didn't like this fight. It feels like you need luck on your side (the spiders giving a good opening). Other than that, I avoided spiders, went in with bolt paper and ripped 2-3 R1 attacks then just ran in the opposite direction, then toward him again. Wash rinse repeat. I used all health doing this fight, i think, so even with the strat it's still not easy.

Is there a way to get Bolt Paper ? The only Problem I have with this fight are the one hits.

Easy to kill her when you
try to help her in the first fight and instead end up charge attacking her dumb head

Yeah. I kinda missed that at. I had to go mono eh mono with her in Grand Cathedral. Was a pretty intense couple of hours getting wooped by her. She gave me more trouble then most bosses. But I SO wanted that weapon. Her sets alright (of armor that is...) but I think I like the Black set better. From what i've found that is

I could consistently get him to phase 2 without much difficulty after that I use poison knives. You can't mess around with him. One knife will poison him. Once I got into phase 2 it took 12 knives. I just beat the defiled chalice, it wasn't so bad. Except for the second boss which took me four hours to beat.

Bloodborne |OT3| Where should I beheaded next?
I've written it before, but it was too early. I know it is not special, but this is the first time I have fun thinking of names for OT =D

I think did the bosses in a really weird order, some I would hardly do damage at all, others I'd really put some pressure on them. I really like that approach by from.

God damn, I am really tolerant to bugs and bad frame rates and load times but what really pisses me off is dying because the enemy I staggered didn't get visceral'd. I can't predict when it will fail and when it won't. Seems maybe dependent on terrain.

What's wrong with the Kirkhammer? That's been my most used weapon by far. The sword is fast enough to be nimble, and the hammer just annihilates fools, especially larger bosses. I guess Ludwig's is basically the same thing, but I've actually preferred the moveset of the Kirkhammer.

I just can't get used to the moveset, and the sword mode seems to do less damage than my Cane at the same level.

I wanted to love it because WHO DOESN'T LOVE A GIANT HAMMER THAT TRANSFORMS INTO A SWORD AND BACK INTO A HAMMER? That's fucking radical, but not as rad as the Cane IMO.

ye elevation has a huge impact on it

Anyone else having trouble with online ? I've been trying to get summoned or summon for the last 30mins with no luck. Lvl 41 trying to fight the spider boss.

Thanks for the help boys.

This is boss is driving me crazy right now and I will stop for a bit and come back to it later.

Nope. He stops using the HP drain from his weapon when he is at around 20% HP. He will only use one blood vial before that to heal himself up and nothing else later on.

There is a cheap method to beat this guy, in case you're interested:

When he switches to the two handed form, which drains his HP, run away and exit the Cathedral.
He will continue to lose HP and kill himself.

Thanks, I beat him.
Didn't fully cheese him, fought him at the bottom of the stairs, so if he hit me I could run and heal

Just before fighting VA there's a path to the right with 2 hunters. Where does this path lead?

Also where is the password door, I can't remember.
