Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Just finished the second boss this morning, and now I'm lost as hell, lol. I have no idea which direction to take. :D Iexplored the areas beyond the boss stage, but always run into dead ends. Ah well, only been at it an hour, so I'll probably stumble upon it eventually.

I really love this game by the way. I loved Demon's Souls, but I was pretty bad at it (think I finished of 2 or 3 bosses before I got stuck), enjoyed Dark Souls but had even more trouble getting to grips with it. Dark Souls II was easier, but never really 'captured' me. But this one, I played over 5 hours in a day, which hasn't happen to me since The Last of Us I think :D Also, I have the idea I'm not as bad in it as I was in Souls. Maybe it's that the game is a tad more forgiving (20 blood vials, and lots of drops, thank you very much). Also, I was a turtle who maybe played with to much caution and got himself slaughtered by the fast bosses because of that.

But who am I kidding, I'll probably stumble upon a boss sooner or later who is to demanding for my unworthy talents :D

I'm still far from finishing the game (I think) but when you start NG+, do you keep all of your Chalices, or do you have to get them again?

Would suck if you don't, that would mean I need to hold on beating the game.
I dont get why didnt they do like DS2, and let you keep going after the final boss.
 
How to unlock more weapons to buy from the merchant?

the 3 standard weapons, and the hammer

I don't know what happens if you send him to Odean but if you attack him, he turns into a beast and tries to reck your shit. Wouldn't be surprised one bit if he killed every single one of your NPCs D:.

Go back to cathedral ward and
take door on the left. Upstairs leads to two areas (one you need to buy a key for at the shop. The other has a special gem stone after waves of enemies). The path downstairs leads to another area. I'll leave you to figure that one out.

It's pretty badass too. It's a whip in one form, and pretty much a sword in the other. And to transform between from whip to sword, your character will smash the end of it against the ground, sending sparks everywhere.

I have been putting all experience into vitality and endurance and that seems to be going pretty well so far. I have defeated three bosses. Anyways, should I just continue as I have been, or will I encounter problems later on with my stats being lowish in other areas? I think I am playing as the veteran.
 
enjoying the forest much more now that I know all of the paths :lol

Any invaders with their slow ass strength weapons just run away in peril - the swipes do stagger and I can dish out 10 of em with only 26 endurance points in, on top of that I use arcane buff or beast roar to mess them up , but the fear in their eyes comes from me using old hunters bone and teleporting around those poor kirk, holy, axe welding hunters. Cane for live. I had my cane at about + 8 when I tackled them, both died at first try , my hunter was lvl 70 ish. You should be ok here.

Is there anywhere early game to farm
blood stones (Prior to Old Yharnam)
? I want to upgrade my hunter axe up to a high level before I move on.

Forest is like a nightmare the first time around. Pretty sure it is deliberate though. It is supposed to be a marathon that just grinds you down. I was completly mentally exhausted after I beat it.

For the
vile bloods you must make your way to the top of cainhurst castle. Don't forget to wear a crown when you make it there. As for the gate well, you'll just have to play through the story and see for yourself ;}

amgadalya thing.
Pointers on where to go?

Nightmare Frontier
is a good place to PvP. I got 3 matches. I won 2 and the third guy ran away and used silencing shot when i started pummelling him.

Have you been to
Cainhurst Castle
? you can join it there thru a hidden entrance

About the gate
It's really spoilery so skip the next words if you want, the gate will be open once you'll see the house on fire and the doll will change her dialogue

About the Dungeons i have no idea, i will start 'em tonight since i wanna have a couple od days before i go all in in NG+

Great OT title haha. I'm Level 59 now, battered Dark Beast Paarl and I have the option of other continuing into Byrgewerth, if
I can get past that damn Hunter by the steps in the house
, or exploring Cainhurst. Given my current level, not sure which one I should tackle first. I'm guessing it doesn't really matter though.
 
I wonder how many OT's Destiny went through.

I remember at launch there where a lot less destiny threads but by week 2 it was already at some stupidly ridiculous OT number.


Also weapons seem so much rarer in BB. I only found 1 weapon so far, which is badass. Some electrical morning star.

I'm still using the starting cane which I love and few of the weapons available to purchase interest me (the kirkhammer was fun, dem animations laaawwwwd).

In previous souls game I'd change weapons infrequently but at least enough times. I guess here the big difference is how each weapon is unique and how much I love the cane. Still I'm hesitant to waste the twin blood shards to upgrade it.

You can buy them from the insight vendor. At the moment I have both ritual blood and eyeballs available.

To join
the Vile blood covenant, you must kill Marty Logarius, wear his crown to open up the secret passage allowing you to meet with the Queen. She lets you join the Vile blood covenant. The gate opens after you kill the wet nurse. She is the last boss before you can access the end game. Walking through the gate initiates the end game boss I believe. I believe there's a trophy, a certain weapon and attire set that you can only earn in the chalice dungeon.
 
Does the game sell Blood Chunks at all? I should've focused on one weapon only cuz I'm not sure I can max it at this rate until NG+.

You can go into Cainhurst without worrying too much :D

Next time that happens, you need to go to options and exit game, then reload. The loot will be at the top of where the person fell.

I have a +6 Uncanny Threaded Cane. It comes out when it needs to.
 
So how is the Kirkhammer? I feel like a lot of enemies have blunt resistance, but I'm really early in the game.

Also how do I equip skins for messengers? I think I got one.

Thanks. I must've missed that door. Probably because the area is pretty dark and I can't darken my game room yet (only have white curtains that let to much light trough), so I had to squint at some parts to make out what was happening.


(my explorations were great for farming though. Died a couple of times, but managed to get my echoes back bar one atempt. Stacked up niceley after a while.

is awesome. One of my favorite looking locations in the game so far. Wrapped it up last night, managed to join 2 covenants, and finished the first chalice dungeon.
 
Level 91 on NG+. Just made it to Hemwick area. For people who have made it there is 91 a reasonable level to have? (Have taken out FG, CB and BSB)
