Beat the Witch last night! After only beating the Vicar a bit before. Really getting the hang of this game... and loving it.

This is creeping into my top 10 games of all time. Hell, possibly top 5 by the time this all shakes out.

Through the cave to the left of where VA was. You get something good from killing that boss so you should head back.

Runes stack. Very useful if you want to specialize in a specific way.

we nurse is the last main boss before the final fight. Everything else is optional. Sythe is from (non canon) final boss. Katana is from joining the vile blood covenant

all on my lonesome (HOORAY) and so with renewed vigour i headed to the next boss,

. Expectedly i got my ass whooped the first time. no big deal. Then i noticed I had 4 insight. I didn't know insight stayed even if you died so i decided to ring the summoning bell. Cue getting an obviously much more experienced and geared guy and

went down in a minute. I only realised my mistake afterwards and now I am full of regret at not defeating it on my own.

Will just have to wait for NG+ or when I make another character

I'm not sure you what you mean by "health is cut in half". I've fought and beaten that boss twice across two different Chalices and I don't recall this.

In the

Defiled Chalice your health is cut in half. If your max normal HP is 1000, the dungeon will actually have it peak at half, at 500. This is a mandatory dungeon to clear to unlock the Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice, which is the last non-root Chalice I have yet to unlock. I am interested in unlocking it because I know what it offers..

I'm kind stuck at bosses due to this.

Currently I have 35 30 35 35 35 9 6 using the holy blade +10 because it has b > b in str/skill

If you die after using 3, you just have to refight that boss fight. You also don't have to redo any fights.

The s.lvl 4-playthrough is more fun than I expected... even having a better time than I had with my main :lol

Everything suddenly feels so insanely balanced. Like, I can never one-shot enemies and they can one-shot me. It's AMAZING. I love this Demon's Souls feeling.

Awsome thread title. My cane is + 10 and with 37 skill points in I am dealing about 450 dmg per swipe and that's not even in whip form. Any invaders with their slow ass strength weapons just run away in peril - the swipes do stagger and I can dish out 10 of em with only 26 endurance points in, on top of that I use arcane buff or beast roar to mess them up , but the fear in their eyes comes from me using old hunters bone and teleporting around those poor kirk, holy, axe welding hunters. Cane for live.

I had my cane at about + 8 when I tackled them, both died at first try , my hunter was lvl 70 ish. You should be ok here.
