Also, I've made it to Father Gascione but I'm having real trouble with him. I've been using the Threaded Cane and I've upgraded it twice (maybe +3? I can't remember) but I also have non-uggraded Hunter's Axe and Saw Spear. would either of those be better?

At this point I think I've explored all areas available to me, I think i have the beat Father G to progress.

You have to beat him to progress, yes. I used the saw spear as it as good range.

My tactic for beating him (may contain spoilers):
Use visceral attack when he attacks you, then walk up close to him as he's staggered and stab him through the heart. During his transform animation just throw molotovs at him. If that doesn't kill him, use the music box then throw more molotovs.

How the FUCK are there two game progress bugs and there isn't a bigger stink about it? I have the fucking "elevator won't come back up glitch" and now I'm stuck waiting for a patch to be able to fight this boss.

What in the fucking hell is this mess?
Because the game is so much fun that even resetting isn't that bad? Dunno haha, even of that happened to me it wouldn't ruin the game I don't think.

BB bosses can be hard for some players until you get insight and learn how to summon. If you Summon then BB bosses should become #TeamFirstTry.

Summoning takes all of the fun out of the bosses IMO.

Quoting myself from a previous page:
1. Kill BSB and then go to one of the tombstones in the Hunter's Dream and place the chalice. You get more chalices from other optional bosses.
2. From the FG boss area turn around back to the sewers and head down the ladder. There's a corpse down there with the badge that unlocks them.

Does killing
Rom
change anything other than
the sky color, and make Witches of Hemlock area more difficult
?

So. . . Seems like black church set is by far the best overall armor out of the main sets. Best resistances for sure, although some sets definitely have higher Physical resistance. Reminds me of Sunbros Armor from Dark Souls.

my tactic

just used the tombstones as shields and my attacks were long enough to hurt him (Hold R2 with Axe fucked him up real quick.) then when he transforms, use music box…more R2, molotove, throwing knife…profit :)

After you kill
Rom
then a lot of side quests become unaccessible if you haven't progressed them far enough yet. And yes there are a lot of other small world changes after that too, enemies in new locations
HUNTERS
, and
where you go next in unseen village changes a lot
etc.

...and the thing is. After getting mad, coming to the thread to vent, and reading about other people playing the game and giving tips, I'm not even mad anymore. Game is too good and I'm already thinking about a new play through :(

Huh... Care to share more examples of regression?

Lack of fast travel, lack of boss "souls" to make new items, return to dumb grinding for healing items like in DeS, lack of ways to play the game(no matter your equip you fight everything the same), weak bosses, lack of varying art design, less than half the weapons, armor, items, lack of upgradable armor, less bosses, lack of equip load, half the stats, linier world(outside of a few sidequest you just go point a to point b there is no part where you choose which way to go), load times, texture popping, lack of interactavle npcs, lack of respec, lack of ASKING YOU if you want to move to NG+, & so on.

Gameplay is far less strategic due to the regen mechanic you can just keep mashing against slightly weaker enemies & never worry about dying. How about the fact all viceral attacks are the same instead of unique animations per weapon type like the previous game? The list is infinite how much is NOT in this game. Every system mechanic was either dialed back or removed from previous Souls games. Wanna Duel wield? Better get that ONE weapon that allows that. What's power stance? Never heard of it. Stronger healing items? You can only carry one, go back & farm more Bloodviles in Central. The game is so boring once you get to NG+ cause there is nothing else to do. No stronger new enemies, no new drastically different builds to attempt, no new attacks from bosses, nothing. All it is is the same enemies but more health & they do more damage. Also bo bonfire aestic equivalent either. Sorry, the game lacks content ESPECIALLY when compared to Dark Souls 2.

This game has started to get weird about halfway through Forbidden Woods... At least the path I've taken. Byrgenwerth, Lecture and Nightmare Frontier... I'm at the boss for two of them but I must say I am not a fan of these levels. Especially Nightmare which is just plain ugly and confusing to navigate...and of course poison and frenzy...thank god I somehow managed to open the shortcut to the boss.

Guess I'll go back and try
ROM
again.

Haha right? And it's not like the game is insanely long like Inquisition, and a patch is on the way!

Where did you find this npc?

He's in the Forbidden Woods. There's a hole in the wall on the top floor of the building with the first
snake head guy

Already killed him, not sure about the key tho...

You need the key to reach the boss so you're good.

I think I did this already. Where would I see them available?

The weapons are available at the regular merchant in Hunter's Dream.

This. The game becomes such a joke when you co-op on bosses. I honestly wish they would make co-op available after you beat the game once but I'm pretty sure I'm in the minority for that.

So, what itens shouls I have to reach the T
rue ending
? (End Game Spoilers)

Is it only the
Third of an Umbilical Cord
found on the
Workshop
in the
"pit"
?
