I went to the clinic a bit prematurely and killed Iosefka before killing Rom. I killed Arianna here as well and don't remember seeing anything about a baby. Am I screwed until NG+?

Hmm.. I think I'm gonna give the boss a couple of tries solo and if it doesn't work out, I'll summon someone. Worst comes to worst, I won't be able to proceed for a couple of days and I'll have to actually focus on classes lol.
It's a From Software game. It's required that the framerate be shit in at least 3 areas.
Worst comes to worst you'll have to restart. There's no guarantee that the patch will respawn the key for people who have already been affected by the glitch.

I think that's a bug that some people have been experiencing when entering that fog gate where the framerate drops to something ridiculously low like 1 FPS.

Yes, also one of the easiest platinum overall when compared with other games.
I got platinum within 38hrs. If I didn't afk for hours or do useless stuff, I think my total play time would be in the 32-35hrs range to platinum BB.
I don't think the issue is a widespread as it may appear. I haven't got bugged either despite summoning in the woods.

you can buy fire (and bolt) paper from the insight bath messengers at some point in the game. i'm not sure about numbing mists, sorry.

I'm outside of VA and have explored I think everything besides the left and right paths that seem to be leading to the woods. Kind of want to adventure more before going against her. Could someone tell me what areas are to the left and right directly outside her doors? Trying to draw this game out as much as possible and loving how creeped out I get whenever I see something new.
My love hate relationship with this game knows no bounds and if the things ENB has been hinting at are correct this game is gonna be trippy dippy baby.

No clue, honestly, as I've been fortunate enough to never experience it. I know it went away for some after they officially entered the fight, but I don't know if it was recurring after that. Not sure what you can do, honestly. (Probably need a patch.)

I found that pointing my camera straight down when going into the fog wall helped shorten the duration of the low framerate. There'll still be ~5 seconds worth of chug though. Probably will be one of the first things they patch.
It's not a dead end. Listen to the guy in the wheelchair.
Make sure to equip the outfit that has the most slow poison resist.
