I never did beat that fucker granted I only tried once... I'm really not looking forward to him on this NG+ mode I'm doing.
He is optional from what I've played so you don't really have to beat him on NG+ unless you have an itch for a broken controller

Cool, thanks. I got both of those. Guess I just gotta keep on one path.
Hey, if you want a surefire way to get there from the first elevator shortcut:

Follow the lanterns and just run through the whole area. You will get there with minimal issues. The giant pig is useless and always roasts itself on nearby fires lol. Snakes are too slow to do shit, and the giant snake's projectile won't hit you if you keep moving. You can get there in a minute from the shortcut

Wtf, why are all the attires gone at the hunters dream merchant (b echo merchant)?. Can only buy T
omb
P
rospector
stuff.
Just wanted to buy the hat of the hunter i killed in the b
yrgenworth
c
ollege

Beat SoY in the Wood. What happened ?

Ok, maybe false alarm. A lot of stuff is still at the insight merchant. Still thought that the other merchant had more stuff i haven't bought.

Maybe you were used to it? As I said, I jumped 30 Insight levels in a second and noticed a marked difference. I have no reason to make that up.
are you sure that those enemies weren't stronger because it was a ''late-game'' version of the same enemy that you encountered early in the game? The ones in Cathedral Ward do get stronger but it's just after 20+ Insight, I believe. they stay the same after that

He's actually quite easy if you know how to tackle him.
Run under his legs without locking on. Wale on him until he either falls over or starts charging for an AOE. When he does fall over hit him repeatedly with charge strikes. He'll go down super quick.

If you buy the key for 10k souls you can open a gate that leads to the next boss. Since the key becomes available after you beat CB you never need to go to Old Yarnham.

Huh. Well, I already did Old Yarnham. :P

So, as I am now...do I need the key or will the
gate that unlocked after BSB
progress me to the next boss?

Guys? :(
So after killing the
Witch
, where am I supposed to go next guy? I see a giant door to the right of Grand Cathedral but it's locked. More than that, whenever I come close to it, a black hole appears next to me and probably tries to suck me in. What should I do, guys?

I don't really understand the mechanics like what's the indication of me being on the right path.

Seriously, E
brietas
is the worst souls boss ever. I'm so fucking pissed off right now. I don't feel like there's even a legit strategy to win. I've watched a ton of videos and it just seems like luck when people beat her.

You might find that hat later in the game.

Can someone answer a question about
Arianna?

Currently I'm in the Forbidden Woods and have cleared cleric beast, Father G, BSB, Vicar Amelia, The Witch of Hemwick, and Paarl. I've sent the old lady to the Cathedral and she's there. I sent the nun when I was imprisoned, but she's not there yet. I haven't even encountered Arianna yet from what I can recall. I purchased the key for the gates as well. I've tried the NPC window that apparently has her and it's just some random guy at this point. Am I missing something?

I thought their hp or defense or whatever increased beyond that point

buy the 10k item at the shop and read its description, you should know where to use it.
if not,
it's the gate after the stairs in Cathedral Ward.
He cleared the workshop, so he should have found the way to the backside of that gate, so he won't need to buy the key.

Dodging is all it took for me. After a few deaths you realise her arms swings have an extra hit with the extended part so its just getting the timing down. Keeping your distance makes her rush you she'll slam witht the body then down witht the head its easy enough to dodge you just need to remember to sidestep the side then slash at the head. The homing magic things is also very easily dodged. The only real attack you should be wary of is when she berserks and lashes her arms out everywhere.

Once you get those patterns down its simple like most of the other bosses.

Fucking witches and their hair cuts, also those dudes carrying the sacks hit like trucks. Easily the most dangerous mobs in any of the souls games. If you get kicked you are done.

Do you have to beat the regular chalice dungeons before you can access the random ones that have codes? When can I access the chalice dungeons that have codes?

I am inclined to state that FromSoft currently has the best level designers in the business.

Hard to disagree.
The interconnectedness is great, the flow is great. But even just the pathways through the levels and the way they look is amazing. The Forbidden woods is winding and confusing and makes it very easy to get lost (as it should, it's a creepy forest with weird shit stalking around).

I absolutely love the shortcuts and how they work. I can't stress enough how much I love the fact that there's no mini-map. You also learn the levels by landmarks and visuals. I know these places in a way very few games get you to do. <3 <3 <3

how come ive never seen anyone talk about this
Reiterpallasch
weapon? I cant use it because it needs 10 bloodtinge. Scales with Skill and ppl are always looking for skill weapons

Bump. I'm having this problem on my NG+ run.

?

Are you talking about Hypogean Gaol? I thought killing Rom triggered the door to the Unseen Village to open.

There's a way to get there much earlier, read on to find out how!

You get killed by a sack guy overlooking a cliff (it might be ANY sack carrying guy idk) and you wake up in a prison inside the unseen village.

I won't spoil what shape it's in... but it's a little different.

Edit:
But yes, you have to kill rom to go through the Unseen Village proper, the above strategy is to Hypgeon Gaol..

Only way I navigated the forest was if there were no enemies that means I must of been there before.
