Question about after beating Rom...
Did I miss a lantern there to light? I looked around and there was nothing but the lady who initiated the cut scene with the teleport. Just curious because I read somewhere there was a lantern at the Moonside Lake (for whatever reason).
I already got off the came for tonight, otherwise I would've checked myself.
No one? =(
I can't understand, in that Cathedral District I can't call any help. The bell is just grayed out! =/
How long do you need to devote to a single play session to make any progress? I think I will probably pick this up at some point, but I'm not sure if it is a game for me or not, so I'll most likely wait for an eventual GOTY version or when it drops in price (and I have a terrible time with console exclusives as I have a nagging feeling it will show up on PS+ eventually), but if it is the kind of thing where every single time I will need to set aside a couple of hours than it probably isn't for me (not that I'm unwilling, I just want the option to sometimes pop in for 20-30 minutes and then pop out).
I know there is no way to pause the game and there can be a big distance between lamps even if you know where they can be found (sorry, I'm somewhat familiar with the game, but have been trying not to be spoiled and only a passing awareness of the previous souls games, so maybe I'm using the incorrect terminology).
While trying to skim the different bloodborne threads I haven't found an answer to that question though I realize there is probably a big variance between different players.

Thinking about it I haven't opened the gate next to axe guy. How do I get around to that?If you opened the second one(iron gate) then from the lamp it's just elevator > keep right at the wall till you come to a drop (with an hooded axe guy) > drop > keep a bit right (since to your right is a cliff) a small drop to a way with lamps, follow it but keep right till the iron gate shortcut. Then just follow the path till fog.

I've done that. I'm at the final boss
Yeah I should have probably done that instead of levelling my main guy to 307. I've already completed the game and done all the optional bosses so I guess i'm not missing out on that much really.Nah, don't want ruin the game, however I might start a separate file and use it before it's patched and keep it kicking around in case I miss some awkward trophies or something.
How do you mean? I'm just now getting started with the chalice dungeons.I really, really, really wish co-op progression through chalice dungeons wasn't so annoying.
lmao
So I just invaded some guy. His buddy was afk so I tried to get him to fight me 1 on 1. He wouldn't move so I hit him, gave him time to heal, and we started fighting.
Just as I'm about to win he runs the fuck out of there and hides, I can't fuckin find him anywhere lol.
I keep dying at Shadow of Yharnam, especially when the snakes come. I watched a youtube guide, but there where no snakes. WTF!?
Am I the only one that uses Blood Bullets all the time? I almost never use the normal qsbullets.
Dodging is all it took for me. After a few deaths you realise her arms swings have an extra hit with the extended part so its just getting the timing down. Keeping your distance makes her rush you she'll slam witht the body then down witht the head its easy enough to dodge you just need to remember to sidestep the side then slash at the head. The homing magic things is also very easily dodged. The only real attack you should be wary of is when she berserks and lashes her arms out everywhere.
Once you get those patterns down its simple like most of the other bosses.
20-30 minutes is enough to make progress if you don't die too much.
I spend at least an hour if I want to progress through the game (I always explore as much as I can), maybe 20-30 minutes if I just help people fight bosses. There is no actual pause button, but you can quit to title screen and when you reload your game, you will start exactly where you left off. And lamps aren't needed to save progress, just that you will start at the last lamp you touched if you die.
You can quit at any point and it will resume where you left off. Lanterns aren't necessary for saving progress between sessions
Oh okay. So do you have the key and have you explored all of theChoir area?
I really didn't but maybe it was way out there.Yeah there was one. Just look around you would have seen it.
Got'cha. Yeah, just had me curious as to why there'd be one. I guess if you jumped back down (if it's even possible) or for something else. Thanks. It lights automatically after the cutscene. Go back to Hunter's Dream and you can warp back. I'm guessing there's something special you can do there. but I haven't figured it out yet.
I like the subtle references to Demon's Souls.
one isMartyr Logarius having the Soulbrandt in one hand.
the other, which is the one that leaked and is much more noticeable, isFather G. saying umbasa when you die.
You have to buy the 10k key from hunters dream and open the gate with it. Then you can call for helpNo one? =(

I can't beat blood starved beast(((
wearing my highest resisting poison gear, using blood cocktails and my visceral attacks don't work 70% of the time
LET ME KILL YOU
How do you mean? I'm just now getting started with the chalice dungeons.
I hardly ever used blood bullets throughout the whole game since I was usually not low on QS bullets, but I did have an incredible moment with them in the final battle. Out of viles, out of bullets, franticly trying to stay away from the boss who had a 10th of health left, surely about to best me again. Then in a moment of half desperation, half genius I hit the up button and bam; blood bullet parry to finish the game.Am I the only one that uses Blood Bullets all the time? I almost never use the normal qsbullets.
You don't have to buy that key. There's another way to open that gate. You have to buy the 10k key from hunters dream and open the gate with it. Then you can call for help
How high is your Insight?
wow...uhhm. is the cane really bad against bosses?
I've beaten every boss of the game and chalice dungeon, but the cleric beast destroyed me with my new character (no NG+). I remember this fight being much easier in my initial playthrough. Is the cane just bad against bosses?
I had this problem earlier. My co-op partner had opened a shortgate gate that I had missed, and when I opened it, the bell became available. Make sure you both have every gate in that area opened up.No one? =(

That is pretty tedious. It is the same as the rest of the game essentially. Each dungeon has 3 levels, but when you finish one the coop partner is unsummoned and sent back. SO for each level, you have to go through the dungeon X amount of times switching who the host is so the person gets credit. It was very tedious.
can anyone tell me if the yahar'gul unseen village opens up later or am I missing a way to progress? I cant get the elevator toteh left, nor the huge gate to the right to open and I cant get to the 2nd level of the church? No spilers just yes or no am I am missing something? I feel like I have prgressed pretty far killingand getting intowitch, etc. I have yet to face the three shadows and progress in the PVP area past theIoefka.School
