Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

Honestly I'd choose the holy blade personally. The axe has a much better R2 attack for stunning but outside of that the blade is better in every single way. It has horizontals as it's first R1 attack, overhead swing through L2 and lunge attack and piercing damage on its heavy attack. Then the light form is so much faster than the axe. It also scales better than it too. The R2 is honestly the biggest advantage for the axe, otherwise I find it particularly slow.

The problem I find is that I'm already loving the saw cleaver for fast attacks, so hitting faster isn't the reason why I use axe. Axe is for hard hitting and sweeping up groups. Ludwig hits hard, and maybe a little faster (but less damage, least on werewolves) but it's pretty bad for sweeping groups. And I use that axe sweep a lot.

I have a question about the F
orbidden
F
orest
. Where the hell am I trying to get to? I keep going down, down, down. I ended up finding a giant pig, and some
alot of
snakes, and eventually got killed by these little blue bastards that look like Sea Urchins. Am I getting close to the boss? Because srsly, fuck this place.

That's the right area but the path with the
failed? old ones
leads to a dead end.

dear lord I suck at this fucking game. Ive been stuck at the two werewolf things on the bridge before the first boss for HOURS. I need molotovs, but every time I try to go gather enough munnies to buy some I just get killed by something else. It has been a loop of this for like 5 hours in a row now.

I struggled there too. I was new to the game and didn't have many options at my disposal. It's tough because it feels so far for a save/shortcut.

Go across the bridge instead and smash some boxes. See what you find.

Or run past them and to the left. There will be some enemies in the room, but just some normal dudes that are a lot easier. The wolfs can't fit through the door.

What the fuck am I supposed to do against the 3man Hunter Ganksquad in Unseen Village, probably just died like 20 times! URGH!

Focus on one at a time. Even if you just kill one and die, that one never respawns. Take advantage of the environment, particularly the spiral staircases, to try to limit the battle to a 1v1. Then get in a few hits and run around again until you find another 1v1 opportunity.

Also, parrying is always good against hunters. And you're invincible during the visceral animation.

As long as you stick to the main path and just keep descending you'll eventually find it. There's two pigs just before the cave leading to the boss gate.

So honestly, the world structure is closer to Dark Souls 2 than Dark Souls 1 right?
It's somewhere in-between DS1 and DS2.
What?! The first area is more open ended than anything in Dark Souls! Areas are way more connected together(in a way that make sense) than DS2, and each individual area have way more shortcuts and alternative routes than any other Souls game! How is that closer to DS2's linear world design?!

Check by the Cathedral but if you've beat
Rom or the Witches you've gone too far, she will show up as an enemy in the Grand Cathedral after you kill Rom. She is incredibly tough so be careful. Alternatively, if you haven't progressed to far she should be right outside the Oedon Chapel church ward(where you can send NPCs) to the left, I've found if you haven't talked to her at all, she'll be there and give you the gestures you missed before from her first appearance. From there go to the place where you fought Gascoigne and get ready for a tough fight against Henryk the Yellow Hunter.

I've beat Rom and the One Reborn and I'll swear I've been in the Grand Cathedral and she wasn't there...

I'll check again tomorrow again tough.

If u make the wolves chase u down the stairs then go in the house and attack them and keep repeating till dead. The wolves can't come inside the house. Honestly I was stuck for more then 5 hours in that first area but the more I played the More I got better and once I beat the first boss I found my groove. I'm new to souls games as well. Good luck bud

Please anyone? :(

I said this earlier but what I did was kill the middle one first. You can sneak up on him and do a backstab, then wail away, run, kite whatever, just kill him (you're gonna die but kill him before you do). Then go back and focus on another one of them, don't be afraid to run backwards and use doors as defense. Finally take out the last one, they are pretty easy 1 on 1. Remember, they don't respawn.

Curious if Bloodborne is going to make people go back to Dark Souls I&II and play a non shield build?

Eh, not really. I did a no shield run in Demon's and Dark and have no interest in doing it again. Those games aren't balanced around it like BB is.

Look at the maps of the three games side-by-side. In DS1, there's a ton of interconnection between the various areas. In DS2, there's very little. Bloodborne has some, but it's not on the same level as DS1.

Sure, each individual area in Bloodborne has tons of shortcuts and interconnecting. So much, in fact, that it's almost detrimental. It's like a maze and you get lost easily, especially since everything looks so same-y.

I tried fighting them 1v1 but they just completely fucking gank me everytime. :D

Hmm, did you open up the shortcut to the boss the first time you were there? If not lure them down to a jail cell, close the door, and then hit them through the bars.
Sounds cheap, but I might do it at this point.

Put on your nikes and run fam
Might also do this.

Summon someone it helps a lot. Keep moving, try to kill the Mage first.
Don't have plus :/

I never really made it to the middle one without agroing all of them, maybe I just need to be more stealhy.

Anyway thanks guys! :)

It is good for sweeping but it started to ruin the game for me. I was relying on the R2 move way too much and things got a bit stale. I've still got it equipped though and upgrade it just in case I get mobbed at some point later. If you have any points in skill as well though the blade will soon be stronger than the axe, but if not it still seems to be overtaking it around +6 for me. I did like the axe though until I became reliant on it.

I'm probably gonna give the cleaver a go next time since I love the look of the weapon, the only problem is I grow attached to the movesets. It took me a while to fully abandon the axe even when I had the blade and wanted to switch. Some of the early areas did seem to complement the sweep of the axe a lot too though so it probably had an influence on me.

Are you just starting? If so there is other paths to the bridge to cleric beast where you will not have to fight them. They are tough when first starting. When I started they rock me so after like 4 bosses in I went back and busted their asses just for revenge.

It wouldn't be so bad if there were more landmarks. Or I had a strategy guide with a MAP.

theres a ton of landmarks, your brain just hasnt processed them yet. the place is confusing at first yes, but play it till its familiar and then it becomes pretty amazing when you remember it all.

Just started playing with Spotify, just for test purpose. Man....

I guess I did some right, I started playing Bloodborne listening to the Killer Instinct soundtrack. It felt perfect when I found Cainhurst and clicked the cutcene.

Noooo!
Eileen
is not on the cathedral wards anymore, now
she hates me and will hunt me down later on :/
I wanted the trophy for her quest line :///

I'm in the 4th boss, wich set should I be using?
I ask because I'm still with the Hunter set that I found in the sewers, and am getting strongly kicked agains

Yep, walking is stealth in this game. Walk behind him slowly, Charge R2 attack, followed by R1 = backstab.

ds1?
Non shield build?

That doesnt tend work well :V

Unless you mean 2h greatsword?
I almost never blocked, but you need very high poise to pull that off.

I find the chalice dungeons only good for getting consumables, gems, and runes. I get very little echoes by clearing out a dungeon level...maybe about 5k or so. I don't know if its because I haven't unlocked the better chalices or not.(I only have 4)

you will get more echoes when you get into higher depths

I'm like on the 13th boss including optional bosses and have been wearing the hunter set the whole time, I feel like it's the most balanced out of all of them.
