Bloodborne |OT3| I Cane, I Saw, I Conqu- YOU DIED

I feel like there's something about co-op in this game I just don't understand.

I'm level 65, standing outside the boss area of (late game location)
cainhurst castle
with online set to worldwide and no password set. I've been waiting for 20 minutes and nothing.

I've had the same experience trying to help others with a couple other bosses where I tried this. Not once have I ever been able to join someone's game.

The only thing I can think of is that I haven't tried helping someone kill a boss before I killed it myself. Does bloodborne not let you join other's worlds if you already killed the boss for the area or something? Because I used to do this all the time in dark souls. After beating a tough boss I always enjoyed sticking around for a bit to help others after I figured out the boss but so far it has never worked a single time.

I'm near the very end of the game. Came back to the dream and
shit's one fire

Should I go now, will the game end right after ? Should I finish quest lines and visit other dungeons before going to meet you know who ?

The
door that has allways been closed in Hunters dream (at the top bottom of the area) will soon be open. If you go there and interact with the character that is waiting for you, you will trigger the final boss battle. So do everything else you want before that.
If you are not going for a "blind playthrough" be sure to check out what you have to do to get the "true" ending of the game

I think the game might have issues or something with some people or some connections

I've regularly been helping random people with bosses.
I'm playing from Chile with online set to local and I've honestly never had to wait more than 2-3 minutes to get summoned.

Based on my experience people in places like the USA should have no issues finding other players

I actually completely missed
that guy, though I did hear about him from a friend who had all the people he sent to the chapel die and was pissed as hell and couldn't figure out why till that guy was the last one left. Suffice to say I didn't bother looking for that guy.

Didn't find him either. I lose all sense of direction in that area. Don't want to spend any more time there than I had to.

I just timed it, from death screen to get back to the boss area (with loading times) it's 2 minutes. 2 minutes that I'd rather have spent just retrying the boss straight away.

I argued for it in the DkS2 original OT and I'll do the same here - bosses need checkpoints. The run is just tedious and you learn nothing other than how to avoid enemies.

I generally have good experience with randoms, but I still strongly believe the bolded. PvE in this game is a joke.

I haven't had too much problem. No more than a minute or two to summon or be summoned. I do wonder if there are issues though since "Spectors" don't typically work and I see very few phantoms running about. This place should look like Grand Central station on launch week but it has the Dark Souls 1 Ghost Town effect.

Fuck Darkbeast Paarl, fucking unbalanced shit. Fuck. I've seen the strategies and they're fucking impossible for me to do, he's always jumping around and acting fucking stupid.

Man, fuck those
rock throwing yeti motherfuckers in Nightmare Frontier with their perfect aim from 100 yards away. T_T

And all this time I had no idea what the Bell Maiden was. I wish she randomly showed up more often during the game to initiate more invaders.

Bought a PS4 just to play this and spent the evening getting my ass handed to me. Holy smokes I've gotten rusty since Dark Souls.

I fucked the good ending. I won't spoil myself now. I'll just visit
cainhurst
before triggering the final boss

Holy fuck
Nightmare Frontier looks so endgame it isn't even funny. I haven't even finished the forbidden woods yet, idk if I should even be here.

How much without loading times? was that with a short cut?

After beating the 5th boss, I just tried get summoned to help random people in Forbidden Woods and another area a bit further, and had no sucess at all...

For a game that requires so much connectivity it's really annoying how they have not patched it yet!

I managed to get summoned into other peoples games pretty consistently in front of the boss. Couldn't find many people to summon me at the start of the F

Anyone able to help with R

at the B

lantern? I've wasted about 10 Insight on people who died immediately or nobody joining. I'm level 52.

80/90 seconds with all shortcuts. It's still too long. If you have to do it several times, it adds up.

It serves no purpose other than to waste my time. I'd rather be playing your game, using the mechanics you have and learning the intricacies of the combat than continuing to master the BS 'run past all enemies' mini-game that I already learnt in Demons' Souls.

You can certainly join another world if your boss has been killed. In fact, Multiplayer is always "possible" if you can ring the bell. There could be issues on their end. Maybe your router/firewall. It coulc be just not enough people looking for coop that late in the game yet.

I perfectly willing to bet that people are having trouble getting coop partner is most of the time caused by the fact that people actually *need* to be in your general area/nearby you for them to jump into your game, AND also there's that level cap limitations.

Combine those two, and especially if you are in a hard-to-reach area with many powerful enemies, then of course you'll get less people joining you.

I hope they just did some sort of a quickmatch search instead of requiring you to be on the same area to join a game.....

Noticed there was an update after I turned on my PS4.

Load times fixed?
I'm not using a stopwatch or anything, but it feels better. Not DRASTICALLY better, but better? Loading Central Yarnham was about ~32-34 instead of 40 (disclaimer: SSHD so reverse engineer 10-15% if needed). The field areas seem to be a bit under 30, the smaller boss room lanterns ~25 and Hunter's Dream is 10 flat.

Off the top of my head that's about a 20-25% improvement? I hope people weren't expecting 50%+ drops or anything.

Wait, NF is considered endgame? I thought it was just a secret area, it's really not too bad minus the annoying yeti's. There is a rune there you can loot to give you +200 poison resist which is awesome and much needed for there.

Hahahahahahahaha!

GF got greedy after getting Father G down to just 5%. She is now going back after Cleric Beast. Fight just started.

I just learned you can only get a blood rock from a specific chalice dungeon once. I tried removing the chalice and putting the code in again. I went to the chest it was in, but only got an insight item. Oh well. Hopefully I run into more / find more codes that people have found blood rocks with.
got any code for dungeons with 20% stamina runes, 15% hp runes etc.? ;d

I'm having a lot of fun with the game, except for the boss fights. Where most of the game does a great job of being difficult but fair, the boss fights far too often just come off as cheap.

I feel a great sense of accomplishment after clearing a mob of enemies; after beating a boss, I usually just feel relief that I can finally progress.

I just assumed that
since its teleport spot is in the 4th headstone that it was end game. If there's a really useful run there, I'll probably go back and grab it.

There's a boss there. It's the hardest boss in the game, the only one I died more than 10 times on while I beat all the others in less than 5.
Up the ladder on floor one, up some stairs and do some falling.

some how i beat it in first try, i think the hardest boss is
Daughter of Cosmo

Nah.
There's a reason it's part of the fourth headstone, but to say more would spoil you.

20. I got here at level 10(didn't level once, didn't need to so I stocked up on mats) and used all my blood to level to see if it would make a difference. Nope. It's not a question of his damage output, it's just too goddamn hard to stay close to him consistently without him either jumping away, turning around, or
using that stupid self aoe bomb. I get that you hack a leg a few times to stagger him but I can't get enough hits in.
It's dumb. I couldn't beat him on my first character who was like 40+ at this point either.

She'll weaken him and make him easier to kill.

Might want to spoiler-tag that.

Too late. Already saw the spoiled name. :/

I'm reminded why I often stay out of OTs. Which is a shame, because I love to take part in discussions, but fuck me are the untagged spoilers flying. I may have to check out until I beat the game the first time in the next few weeks. It's going to take me longer to play this because of my schedule, but I feel pressed to try and rush through it for fear of spoilers. It's like reading comments are a minefield. Like a Souls game, each comment could do me in, so I have to learn the tactics of thread navigation or get got. Lol

Haaaaaaaaaaaaaa ha ha ha ha. What the hell?

I just romper-stomped D
arkbeast
P
aarl
. Like what the fuck. I don't know what I did different but I knocked
his electricity off
and then he never got it back on cause I kept knocking him down. What the heck? Felt kinda happy about that one.

Which then was double amusing because I
took the gate back into Old Yharnam and snuck up behind Gyula to fuck him up and he just saunters over and talks to me and gives me his fucking badge.
All the times I died to that motherfucker and I thought I could get one over on him.

...I may have shot him off the tower on principle. >___>

Level 41 with a buffed holy blade, I've just been assisting people kill BSB all night because I still say fuck him

Great way to farm souls!

That explains it. You should probably come back later. The same happened to me, I got sent there really early and was getting wrecked.

I came back later at around the mid 40s and I found him really easy.

To add, I was using an Ludwig's and was wearing some elec resist gear. I kept close and he wasn't really doing much damage to me honestly.

I feel like the taller boss the worse the fight is. It was nice to not have 90% of them being humanoid after Dark Souls 2 but I would have liked a few more fights with a nicely behaved camera, a single enemy and enough room to maneuver

PRAY SLAUGHTERED

For some reason this was the only time that attacking the last surviving
Shadow
interrupted their
summoning of the giant snake thing.

Alright GAF Im already in the Unseen Village....
however looks like the enemy is at a much higher level than before. Is there anywhere else I should go?

I know this game has
multiple
endings. Do I need all three
umbilical cords
to get the
best?

I only have two and I'm in
The Nightmare of Mensis.

Well, she finally took down Cleric Beast. She's quitting for the night though but is planning on continuing where she left off tomorrow. Aside from the frustrations she had with the two bosses, she likes the game a lot.

Late-Game what is the fastest way to get to
Darkbeast-Paarl?

From the lamp, go downstairs to that area filled with lazing people on the ground and those two bag man, and just ran past them towards a hole in the wall that led to a small tunnel, and drop down. Walk a bit from there and presto.

In fact, that's how I found him accidentally the first time, LOL.
