As soon as you get to the top, shoot him with your pistol a few times and he'll fall off the building and die. Then just reload your game and pick up his stuff.

Also if you wait until after you beat Darkbeast and enter the area and climb his tower without him seeing you, you can talk to him.

I found a new Arcane magic item that consumes bullets.

Leveling to use it right now, but from the item description:

Executioner's Glove(found at Cainhurst in a chest surrounded by Banshees): allows you to summon vengeful wraiths for a period of time that will seek out and attack enemies until they die. 6 QS bullets per use, Arcane of 20. I also found another magic item, but I forgot what it was lol but it requires 25 arcane.
 
Have I mentioned how much I love how the Blade of Mercy destroys enemy hunters? Don't know how I would've handled the guys in Y

I feel like most of my gameplay in this level consists of me running around screaming and trying to avoid things, as opposed to actually fighting. It doesn't seem worth it to deal with the bell maidens.
 
Question about the
true
ending. I've got
one cord now from the secret area and am planning to get another from that nurse boss. The clinic lady is long dead but is it true you can get one from the 'whore'? She's at the cathedral now in a lot of pain and such, :(
 
So I killed
Iosefka already. After a quick research on the Internet, I hear that killing her before Rom will result in not getting the true ending. Is it true? Ugh even though that bitch is crazy, I should have not killed her :(
 
Wow what a dissapointment the Chikage turned out to be.

I mean, It's my own fault for not checking the stats but Katanas have allways been some of the best Dex weapons in Dark Souls so I just asumed the Chikage would be a skill weapon here but it seems to depend 100% on Blood Tinge.

I have skill up to 25 and even upgraded the sword to +5 before trying it out and it does absolutely shit damage.
 
Man this game is sooo good. Love how Ive played it a lot for a week now and only took down 4 bosses. No idea where the 5th one is though. Everywhere seems to be a deadend.

Why does nobody seem to use a item that teleports you away anytime to the checkpoint. I forgot the name but u can buy it in hunters dream, if you are in danger of dying, just teleport

Really? That's a shame. Guess I'm sticking with the saw spear then.

Does it at least scale well with Bloodtinge?
 
Alright boys fess up how much are you rocking in vitality? I'm up to 27 because i poured the majority of my points in arcane, strength and skill (Got to max out that ludwig potential).
I've reached that part where enemies keep spawning unless you kill the bell bitch
and i'm wondering if i've underspent because these bastards keep knocking out half my health with every hit.
 
Finished the game with the
three cords
ending and I think all non-chalice bosses killed. Final playtime including lots of chalice dungeons was 43:20:29. I was expecting a little bit longer game, especially if you subtract the several hours from the chalice dungeons, and I felt like the last few areas went by really quickly. That's really my only small quibble with the game, and it's overtaken Demon's Souls as my favorite "Souls" game. The setting, atmosphere, story, art design, and combat all come together in a way that I feel is nearly perfect. Simply a fantastic game.

I am now IIRC 22/22/22/12/9/8.

I thought Arcane stat only applies in weapons like Ludwig and the other *if* you use elemental effects on them like the Fire Papers and such?

I have the item and I'm going to use it to get my souls back most likely, it's just not always ideal because you have to fight all of the enemies again to get back to where you were
