I found neither of these? I got a short cutscene then transported to
Yara'ghul
immediately. I'm going to head back but right now am trying to beat
Eileen? in the cathedral. She is hard.

That
woman
was part of the cut-scene. Or maybe it wasn't a
woman
after all?

Anyway, oddly enough, the lamp shows up in the list of places I can travel, even though I never lit it.

Not true? First of all, thanks for calling me a liar. Second, watch any video of it. Hell watch the video posted on the same page. Dude gets hit once because he spazzes out on the dodges (lol) and the rest he just runs / rolls forward as they come. Unless you are standing still, or playing muted for example (since yiu can also hear them coming) I don't see how they would hit you, they fall on where you were, not where you are. And I'm a old man, I got fuck all reflexes lol :)

People have experienced it both ways. Those complaining that it's hard likely had it more like I did on NG+. Perhaps how it should be? Either way I was getting pretty annoyed too second time around.

Game seems a little more buggy then their last few so for now I'm chalking up 'easy' mode as just that

There's nothing in this game quite as unnerving as going somewhere you've been a hundred times to fight enemies you know are there and them not showing up.

That means things have shifted. And that's uncomfortable.

I just got to the A
bhorrent
B
east
in a Chalice Dungeon...

fuck

Edit: Actually I managed to beat his ass on my third try, it wasn't that bad. He's just really intimidating.

So (mid/late game boss spoiler) I'm not crazy
Gharman
is crazy fucking hard right? Like the hardest boss in the game by orders of magnitude up to this point, right? Give me some assurance here that I'm not just terrible and everyone had a hell of a fucking time with him.

Amazing boss, really fun to fight, but I'm going on 40 tries on him. I one shotted the boss right before him, too.

God damn.

He's very fun to fight. I one shotted him and the last boss the first time I faced him, but lost on the second time (was using a cloud save to get all the endings). And then I died the third, fourth, fifth time I fought him :).

BUT I GOT HIM THE FIRST.

Yes, he's hard.

I dunno if I'd consider him the hardest in the game, though, the Chalice dungeons have some crazy shit.

So since chalice dungeons don't scale with ng+ you can just brute force them with the extra lvls from ng+?

Well to be fair you can brute force everything else I guess

After getting the Platinum trophy this past saturday, It's nice to go back and start a new character to take my time with again.

My friend picked up the game on monday and had beaten CB, FG, and BSB solo, but then wanted me to play co-op with him. So i quickly made a character that has beaten those bosses and then been playing the rest of the game co-op with him. This is my first time doing a complete co-op playthrough and its an immense amount of fun.

Or
Micolash
? People having a hard time with him and I thought he was a joke boss

Literally. I dont mean he was so easy he was a joke, I mean when I killed him I kept expecting the real boss to crash down or something, so I assumed he was just a joke boss, just From having some fun.

The only thing he did to me when I caught up to him was try to punch me a few times, so I Ludwig'ed him 4 or 5 times and he just died, almost like a normal enemy.

But then again that would mean
Rom
was "bugged" for me in chalice too because I also thought he was easy there. I would love to know exactly if there is a bug out there making bosses do less moves

Lol at
Micolash
. Yup stunlocked him and and a couple of 12 hit combos later we were done. Didn't know people had issues with him.
Navigating the 'labyrinth' maybe

Re R

- again though, W
et Nurse is confirmed as bugged
so the issue is out there

Yeah, I'm sure it does. I rang it with the GAF password outside of the boss room. I've never actually had the password thing work,
It worked for me twice when getting summoned for this boss before, but I know it has been spotty many other times. They really need to fix this. We can both take off the password and hope you at least find someone. :P I wish I could set it so that I end up eating the Insight cost instead since I have a whopping 74 of them.

Also, the matchmaking in this game is just straight up broken.

I have never been able to summon a stranger. Not a single time. I have given up on doing it.

I did a chalice dungeon with my brother today. Or I should say, I did the first floor of one with him. It took five minutes from ringing the beckoning/resonant bells to him actually being summoned into my game. We shared the same code, there's no possible reason it should have taken that long.

When we got to the second floor and tried to summon each other again, it just plain didn't work. Neither of us could figure out why. We gave up and stopped.

Online stuff has always been kind of janky in these games, but they took it to a whole nother level of broken here.

which class in the noob friendliest class in bloodborne?

The starting Origins are just starting stats, everyone starts with the same basic armor and can choose from one of three weapons. I'd say go with Lone Survivor; they start with the highest Vitality stat (most health) or any class. And look at the Beginner's Guide in the OP.

Yeah, we can take it off and hope for the best lol. This boss has killed my insight lol.

Does anyone else use the rifle spear?

I'm loving it, it's great for taking on heavier enemies two handed with the charge attack that has OP range and damage.

At +6 2 charges and any other hit to take out sackboy.

Amazing compared to the other dex weapons imo.
Oh right, shooting stuff while two-handing is also quite beastly..

Using warped twin blades for faster enemies.

Classes are meaningless in these games, they are just stat alotments. I guess choose the one with more vitality to start

Any tips in deafeting
blood starved beast?

I'm certain I can beat him, he doesn't feel as hard as
clerek beast

I'm at level 27.

Lock on, stay close and use evade button. He is realy easy once you evade him and try to go behind him! Also you could buy some molotov (10 should be enough) for his second form.

I have the Rifle Spear, but never gave it a try. I might level it up now and play around with it. I'm just enjoying the Threaded Cane too much.

Wow this sucks, I'm going arcane build and I'm trying to grab the nice arcane gem in the
forbidden forest poison area
The
worms have insane arcane resistance, I do like 20 a hit.

Whats the
wet nurse
bug? Because I thought she was easy :/

Sure, try that with the chalice that halves your health.

I can't tell if that's sarcasm or advice lol

Is it worth adjusting the brightness so I can't see the beast anymore?

I put the brightness slider at 0 and my TV brightness down once and suddenly the game looks much better...

At the very least, the default brightness (5) seems like too much for this game.

Oh that chalice dungeon was lots of fun. My fight against the Watchdog in that dungeon.

That was basically my strat. Felt kind of lame, but what can you really do when he's so punishing. The damage of your sword killed that of my axe, though. I had 50 strength and a +10 axe and my two-handed R2 overhead swings didn't deal nearly as much.

Does it actually halve your health or does it set it to a low value? Because if the former...I'm screwed. I have a VIT of 10.

Halves.

thank you guys. I m actually afraid to start the game lol

Nothing wrong. Arcane is pointless unless you want to use Arcane items, which mostly totally suck. The scaling it adds to the 4 weapons with magic-damage is next to nothing, even at 40 and with them maxed out. It's useful if you want to switch a weapon to Arcane/Fire/Bolt damage, but again the scaling is bad and it also totally negates your Strength and Skill scaling and Arcane's already bad scaling compared to Strength + Skill combined on a weapon which makes any Arcane build pretty weak in comparison. Better off just going with a pure physical weapon and then just adding Fire/Bolt Paper or the Arcane Item Buff.

You do want both Strength and Skill unless you're sticking purely with Blade of Mercy (Skill only) or Logarius' Wheel (Strength only). Every other weapon scales off both stats and most of them get a worthwhile bonus from both stats even if the scaling rating is low. You absolutely want both for something like Ludwig's Holy Sword.

Bloodtinge is a bit of a mixed bag. If you want to fully exploit the Cannon, which is an amazing item that can take huge chunks of HP off even Bosses when upgraded and used with Bone Marrow Ash, then you absolutely want Bloodtinge. It can and will wreck things. Evelyn can also put out some decent damage with its S in Bloodtinge. It's also a stat you want if you use Chikage (the Katana) as its 2H trick-mode is dependent on it. The two Gun-sword type weapons also use it for their Gun Attacks.

Vitality is absolutely worth it, you want that at 50 eventually. Endurance at 40. Then whatever stats you use for ATK at 50.

This is great info, thanks :)

Yes, he's hard.

You dropped him the first time. Ok, how exactly? What weapon did you use? Did you parry a lot? I find that I can get him down to around 10 percent health somewhat often (certainly not every time) but I always die there. He's just too aggressive at that point. I'm not terrible, I can read his moves and time my dodges pretty well, every other boss in the game I've had no real trouble with, but he's just too god damn mother fucking fast.

What the fuck did you do to beat him your first try?
