Same goes for Blood Rock :/Patch also fixed the item dupe glitch. Now I wish I used it just for the Chalice ingredients![]()
I don't understand this... you're 1.5 hours into the game, not 5 minutes. Are you saying you're still in the first area? That's normal (at least for me it was). I explored Central Yharnam for many hours before managing to beat the first boss. Discover every secret you can.
What are the mechanics!?![]()
Is NG+ really a harder then the 1st playthrough?
I mean, obviously the enemies are much stronger to keep the challange and the increased blood echoes, but is the experience actually harder, or almost the same challange?
Correct... Truth be told after almost 2 hours I was only a few enemies into the game. Kept getting killed by the armored out dude by the gate opposite to the way I should be going.

If at first you don't succeed... Go a different way.
From what i understand, you need to stay as close as possible otherwise he shoots crazy skull magic at you. If you are right beside him he attempts to melee you, which you can parry and attack for visceral damage. The problem is he has one move that quickly causes a skull to explode right in front of him and I can't detect it, and he just destroys me with it over and over.
yeah... but now I am pissed because I want to take that dude out. Guess I need to buy better gear or LTP.
The forest is next. Its in the main square of the town where you killed Amelia in, past one of the giant guys under an arch (which is to your right, assuming youre coming down the stairs from killing VA, and make a left.
Forbidden Forrest? The "need a password" door at the bottom of the stairs before you fought Amelia.
Like previous souls games.
You know have experienced and are fully levelled. In DS1, the NG+ challenge comes around 30-40% through the game.
OMG the grind for Chalice ingredients looks horrible.... I only have one Chalice dungeon opened and it's only three floors and I gotta run through it and kill everything over and over again hoping to RNG some more ingredients to unlock new Chalice dungeons... That's worse that grinding in Destiny!
Original? Isn't Bloodletting only in chalice dungeons? Are you thinking of Blood-starved?I just beat that one. It's definitely a lot nastier than the 'original' but it still has some exploitable parry windows. The best ones are when it does the right arm swipe (not the dashing slash, that doesn't seem counterable) and its combo moves. It has one move where it bites then follows up with a very slow slash with its left claw, you can shoot him during that easily and he spams the fuck out of the move at low hp.
I'm sure there's an easier way but counters are what worked for me. I equipped a bunch of visceral attack improving runes too.
Also learn the tell for the grab, as it'll probably kill you. I was able to survive it with a tiny sliver of hp (enough time to chug a vial) but I've invested heavily in vit. I think I had around 36 or so.
Man,is bullshit. Even though I got him stuck in his teleportation animation for a while and did some extra damage to him, his magic crap got me in the end.Rom
Oh relatedly, bit of trivia/maybe lore: did anyone break the pots in Byrgenwerth? They are filled witheyeballs of various sizes.
Huh? Just go through it normally, at the end you'll be rewarded with a new chalice for a deeper level of the same dungeon. As long as you explore each level all the way, you won't have to do any extra farming, you'll just have enough naturally.
Can I get my echos back when I died after I killed Rom?
You just need to collect the key items again... everything else remains in tact (levels, consumables, weapons etc.).What exactly happens during new game plus with my items and things I can buy. Does anything disappear from my inventory, or the messenger shop at the dream world?
Is there anyway to increase the healing effect of blood vials ? Or is it a ceratin %?

How do you use the new chalice for the deeper level of the same dungeon? I guess I got one of those... Do you have to reforge a new chalice dungeon with the new chalice for the deeper level and consume materials to do it? Stupid question I know sorry, but I was confused and I wasn't sure how to use the new chalice for the deeper level of the same dungeon...
Sorry about that, but what did you get spoiled about? I've seen that NPC name mentioned several of times in this thread untagged. Its just a NPC's name, it has no relation to any other Souls games, so its not really much of a spoiler. Its also not really possible to use spoiler tags on urls. The black bars appear, but the url itself can still be read (its in blue text).
Names of NPCs and places in the game are mentioned several of times un-spoiled in this thread, so to avoid any of these type of spoilers, its best to not read much in this thread before beating the game (that is what i did).

Yup, I have enough materials for the next chalice and I just played normally. In no way are the Chalice Dungeons as grindy as the shit grind fest in Destiny.
Found them.I did, requires a bit of searching though
That Bloodborne sign you see in the loading screen looks like an incomplete sacrificial sign from Berserk:

I am sure I am not the first person to point this out.
You'll have to create a new dungeon with the new chalice and materials. A chalice dungeon guide got added to the OP. Useful info there.
Each occupied tombstone gives you access to that chalice's dungeon. But you only have to do the ritual once, you never have to do the ritual to consume the materials again. Doing the ritual the first time "unlocks" the dungeon, and from that point on, if you ever want to do it again, you can do a Search for someone else's dungeon of that chalice, and you can explore their dungeon without using the materials agian.
To use the new chalice you found, go find an empty ritual altar (i guess there are 6 or 7 lined up) and put down your chalice on the new altar using the required materials. Again, you only have to do this once per chalice at which point it will be doable through someone else's using the Search feature.
Its meant to be good for late game enemiesGrimløck;158418472 said:arcane is complete trash, right? wanna pump 50 into arcane and stack elemental runes for pvp but having second thoughts.
So I just beat the game...
And chose to accept death or whatever at the end, didn't realise that it would go straight into NG+ with the worst ending. And then I was pretty sad to read about so much stuff that I've missed out on.
Anyone got any advice for that fucker at the end ofquest? He is impossible.Eileens
