Dear Lord, that place is death. I really don't think I'm up to it to be honest. This game is just too hard for me now.

Just run through unseen village. Until you get past the Lazer beam shooting giant insect thing. The final boss is easy just put your best fire resitance gear on and hack at his back legs (staying in front is death).

Technically you can. If you don't go to Old Yarnam first. Buy the Key for 10K and go through Cathedral Ward area's first. Defeat Paarl and then go into Old Yarnam with the Church Set.

How can you get to
Paarl without killing BSB
? The
sack guys
don't show up until after you kill BSB. Also, the black church set has nothing to do with it

I did that ages ago. This isn't the same area. In this area THAT lamp is broken.
the stairwell with the laser has a lantern at the bottom of it. Beyond that is a bell maiden with a big guy, pitchfork and rifle trio. Beyond that is a room with an optional hunter fight you should avoid for now. Beyond that room (just go through the other door if you opened it already earlier on, if not run past the hunters) there will be an elevator you can find if you hug the left wall and go up the stairs and kill a rifle guy/bell maiden and look around on the left for another staircase. that elevator takes you right back to the start of this section so you can quick run the rest.

I can make a video showing the path if you want. This part IS hard. If you are getting seriously frustrated, don't give up but do take a break for a day or two. You may find it has sunk in somehow while you slept.

I'll be on in a min or two would someone pls help me the cainhurst boss
Tried like 20 times no other boss has givin me this much trouble.......

I think the best one is in
Nightmare Frontier
in a giant pool of fucking poison and a singing brain lady.

EDIT: Or not. I don't know which one I'm talking about then.

There might be more than one, I didn't manage to get past that enemy so you might be right.

Is it better than the cane? Really want to switch my cane with something else :P

Yes. In 2H Its charged R2 attack literally throws people across the room and leaves them stunned laying on their backs (Including Father G). Its R1 attack is fast using minor amounts of stanima and is a broad horizontal swipe. Its L2 attack hits hard and comes down at like an 80% angle great for kill stuff on the ground and it almost always stuns.

1H mode is solid. It has better range than Lorigs 1H mode. Useful for enemies that are easy to parry or when you are overleveled in a chalice.

I recomment 40 skill 30 arc to get the most out of it. So start allocation attributes time now for it.

Tonight's going to be the same story with me probably. VA fight. Die 10 times. Quit. Repeat tomorrow. I hate how everytime i make decent progress I just hit a boss and get stuck for like 2-3 days.

As cool as the scythe is, it has some mediocre scaling. I'm thinking of investing my chunks into the cane or Blades of Mercy. Anyone use the Burial Blade? Is it worth it?

I was so excited to get that weapon, and I upgraded it to +8, I still think it is terrible. I tried using the Blades of Mercy, but I feel like too week, I have them at +6 atm.

jesus mary and joseph just nearly killed the doll

Me and dcelw540 just helped each other against R
om

Goddamn this
Micolash
SoB. They keep saying you can interrupt it's beam attack in the later stages of the fight, but I've been killed 3 times now while trying to interrupt it's attack with my Ludwig Holy Blade in it's 2 handed state. Am I doing something wrong here, or should I just dodge that shit?

After beating
Romald McDonald
(which I did first time, priiiide), where are you supposed to go? I can only think of the
Unseen Village
or the
Nightmare Realm
. Even at level 68 they're pretty tough areas but I genuinely can't think of anywhere else I'm supposed to go. I'm happy to proceed with them as I can still take care myself and even defeated the 3 Hunters in the former area. It's just such a noticeable jump from the areas before that I need to ask if I missed a spot.

What's wrong with the scythe? It doesn't look very strong but it has decent range right?

try shooting him. it's easier to just sidestep, though.

The
Burial Blade
scaling does not look amazing, but it makes up for it with range and stunning ability. It says it does 150 less damage than Lorigs when I have my best gems in them but attack speed more than makes up for it and its range is unmatched.

Yeah, these fucking
Shadows of Yharnum
are my Smough and Ornstein. Might have to bite the bullet and go for co-op. Really wanted my first playthrough to be solo only.

Started another character, facing Vicar for a second time now.

I've come to the conclusion that she's not a good boss fight, her clothing completely masks her move sets which makes trying to dodge her stuff a guessing game if you on one side of her.

Bad design.

Really? What level are you?
I think the key to that fight is simply having a lot of stamina so you can dodge infinitely.

I'd appreciate a video, thanks. Could you PM me it please. Could you also show me where I get access to the upper cathedral?

has anyone had success in summoning randoms in chalice dungeons btw? I've never been able to do it once, I'm wondering if it's even possible

Damn, I didn't realize how much lower the soft caps were until reaching level 70. Now, MP is pretty infrequent and the only people I seem to find are in NG+. Oh, well. I guess I'll just make a new character after finishing my first run.

it is. you have to share your gliph and they have to have it as well. then you just summon as normal. been doing it with a friend
