The animation of the hair screams FE: Awakening.

I pray and hope that IS are responsible for the game by and large, and maybe(just maybe) Maniax only did the battle system and story.

I'm just laughing imagining if a Dark Souls 3 trailer came out and it looked like Idolmaster: Gotta Catch All the Panties Edition.

I don't care what people think but I'm waaaaaaaaaaay more hyped up now than when it was just "SMTxFE". At that point it could have been anything so now that we've got something concrete of course you are going to be disappointed because it wasn't what you thought it was. Granted, it doesn't look very FE (I guess the fantasy parts are FE?) and the SMT stuff mainly seems to be in the systems but with the Persona style.

Anyway, I think this looks great. I love the Persona games, really liked SMT4 (even though it was suuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuper late here in the EU) and enjoyed FE:Awakening so if it mixes them around but leans heavier on the Persona style and SMT gameplay and a bit les on the turnbased stategy I'm happy. Though there were areas that had a blocky TBS style layout (though that could just be Persona style dungeon layout).

I saw that, but it didn't even expose very much especially compared to all of the female characters bouncing around with their giant breasts hanging out.

It's especially frustrating because I love generic anime pandering, J-pop, school settings, and sexy anime girls. But as a girl gamer it's really offputting how this game feels like it's treating it's female characters as decorations while the men get to be pretty much dressed up. It makes me feel as if this game is not for me. I feel alienated and left out.

All this game has to do is show me some completely topless men in speedos with big bulges and little bows on their underwear. Then I'll have no issue with this at all.

But are they really just decorations? seeing as one the main female characters is a pop idol and theres a stadium where combat takes place with a concert setting I'm going to say that the story seems to revolve around her more then anyone. Actually I think your secondary female character is also a pop star because her image is seen on a screen when the mc is running through town and you also see her in combat. So in that context its not entirely unusual to see pop stars in skimpy ouitfits. Will there be more fan service for men? obviously since the demographic is larger but at the same time we'll probably get some for women. In this case I don't mind fan service when it isn't just there because "looks boobs!"

This is something I'd expect from NIS or the Neptunia people not a game that has SMT in the title Jesus Christ

Eh, in terms of production values it was a good trailer even I didn't like the tone and art style. Trailers from C-tier RPG devs usually have the gameplay actual in-game stuff be the one moment where they slap a bunch of tiny screens zooming out with the all the characters talking at once and everything else in the trailer are stills of character promo art.

That image, sans the generic style, is pretty much how I envisioned SMTxFE. Modern day setting with FE characters.

My thoughts when watching this trailer "What happened to Atlus?" That trailer honestly looks an like Aksys or Mastiff published Gust game, not something that should have any kind of association with Shin Megami Tensei or Fire Emblem. Did the Index and then Sega buyout have some sort of dramatic affect on Atlus? What the hell happened to Kazuma Kaneko, where is he, what is he doing?

This is how I feel. All we knew of from the teaser is that Nintendo and Atlus were working together on something that mixed SMT and FE and showed characters from those series (because what else would they show to signify the series?). Other than that we had nothing. There was the assumption that it'd be something like a TBS (FE style) with SMT characters and demons with like, the FE world dimension crossing over or something but nothing was said. Then we get this which seems very Persona like (still in the SMT umbrella) with what looks like Fire Emblem style characters and Party members/Personas/Demons and an alternate reality existing with modern Japan.

Basically, yeah, a Wii U exclusive Persona game (because Persona battles are a lot like SMT battles). And that is nothing but amazing to me.

This was my reaction. I was hoping hoping for something like Devil Survivor HD.

Nah, I got my fill of sRPG SMT from DS, don't really need another sRPG SMT series. I was hoping it's something like a combo of aesthetics and tropes from both series making something new, and who knows this could turn out to be that, but I'm not seeing much.

Honestly if the Atlus logo wasn't on it I wouldn't believe it was an Atlus game. It looks like those Hyperneptunia garbage games.

I was always wondering how kosher NIntendo would be with Atlus mixing FE with how desolate the SMT series is.
