Do you guys feel like Bloodborne drops in quality towards the end just like Dark Souls did? I didn't really like the areas or enemies in the second half of the game and many bosses were pretty bad as well.

Slightly opposite for me. I liked the first half, but loved the second half of the game.

Which one are you on? Depths 1-3 can get pretty boring and there's a lot to grind through to get the materials for the deeper ones. But depth 4 like
Ailing Loran
and
Defiled
have been really fun imo.

I'm 4 Ritual Blood (4) short of the Ailing Loran Chalice. I'm looking forward to the depth 4 and 5 ones.

A glitch that occured players not finding the Lunarium Key...and erasing the item duplication glitch!

R.I.P.
Fixing the item dupe glitch hopefully makes it so that the stash doesn't glitch out like it did for me!
I think he said "just now", as in not yesterday but there's another patch?
I haven't started Bloodborne up in 9 hours though

I mean, it's exactly like the Souls series; FROM's artists and engine programmers just get how to convey gritty, gothic horror with an uncomfortable sense of realism in proportions and tones, staying away from comically exaggerated horror.
I totally agree, but with one teeny tiny exception:

The number of tombstones littered all over the woods is borderline ludicrous.
Was somebody mass producing these things and needed a place to dump them, or is the forest just a mass graveyard spanning millennia? Is there a gigantic hollowed out stone quarry just over the horizon?

Otherwise yes, the overall design is stellar.

Tell me about it.

This castle was breath taking. And I was just walking out of Mensis' place, that was already very cool for so many reasons. I mean, wow, seriously. I was blown away at almost every scenery in this game

The areas are some of the most intense and fantastic in the second half.

Bosses are hit or miss. I don't know why Yoshichan praises Cleric Beast when he is so uninteresting, but the final final boss gets a low rating from him. The only boss I was truly disappointed in was Amygdala. Like...that is all it can do? It felt very weak.

Everyone feels differently about things, though. I thought Father Gascione was enjoyable, but Vicar and the Shadows were terrifying. We probably all agree that the Upper Cath Ward has lame bosses, though.

No problem. Did the boss freak out on your end right at the end too? lol. I think I got a head hit in to stagger him, but then he just like freaked out and started sliding around.

Yeh, I did lol. Kind of funny xD. Btw, did you pick up the +100
resist all
rune in that area?

Can someone explain how Ludwig's blades arcane scaling works? It seems like upgrading my arcane does nothing to the weapon...?

I did the same thing -- upgraded arcane a couple of levels and nothing. Apparently you have to add a gem to convert the physical damage (from strength and skill) to arcane. No idea where that gem is, and there's no way I would want it anyway since I'm 30/25 str/skl and like 9 arcane.

The insight relation to difficulty is horseshit.

Went from 39 insight to 0 fighting Ebrietas because I needed the Bolt Paper.

Made 0 difference.Still very aggressive, still has plenty of instakill moves.

I just found 4 'Bastard of Loran' items for the Defiled Chalice, but it's not coming up in the Chalice ritual selection. Am I missing something possibly? I've already done the Chalice dungeons before this one but something seems out of place.

Someone halp pls!?

The art in this game is the best I have seen this gen.

I made some widescreen shots for this bad boy.

Seriously, no other game can touch the art assets on display in this game, and it's crammed full of them. I really hope some sort of real art book comes out that highlights all of the major set pieces and statues and everything else.

There are some amazing optional areas and bosses that make it up for it

I don't think anyone ever suggested it has an effect on bosses. It's most obvious when fighting the cathedral guards.

I'm in NG+, sporting a +10 Chikage and +9 Blades of Mercy (fast as fuuuuuck) and Evelyn as my gun. I usually like to switch to a longer weapon for New Games beypnd 0 and +1. For example, I used a +5 Blessed Mirdan Hammer in Demon's Souls because the range and speed lets me hack at mobs from a safe distance.

I'm wondering if I should opt for the Rifle Spear or the Scythe as my long weapon choice. Don't wanna get one shot by random grunts.

I guess I did like the areas themselves.
Cainhurst castle, the university and the nightmares
are all amazing. At the end of the day Bloodborne is still mostly about combat so the (imo) horrible enemies dragged those places down.

Anybody want to help me with
shadows of yarhnam
I have no clue how to summon but I have been stuck on them for two nights now.

ahh ok

What ? No...

There's no way BloodBorne is getting the 50% treatment.

Game is very consistent all the way through.I've been playing for 40+ hours and it still surprises me.

Are you sure you did the Lower Pthumeru Chalice and not some version of root chalice?

I beat him a little bit ago.
Corner the mage like one first and be aware of the other two. Once you get the mage out, the fight is very easy. Just try and isolate the first mage and use ranged attacks for when it's down to two.

But it does have that A scaling...

Have done that every time, then they grow snakes and just destroy me. I am dodging and moving but cannot for the life of me kill all of them.

Is it just me, or does the Crowfeather gear only really start looking good when it's covered in blood?

Crow
set only looks good using the
bone ash
set pants, then it looks godlike

Because the
bone ash
pants are all raggedy / ripped at the bottom exactly like the rest of the
crow
set, if I didn't know and looked at a picture I would say it's from that set

You need to either put a blood gem on it that gives it arcane damage to transform the weapon to arcane damage or infuse it with something that deals arcane damage like the Empty Phantasm Shell.

It's not horseshit, it just doesn't scale like that... there's tiers and it doesn't effect everything. Just certain things change in the world.

Not anymore more or less consistent than Dark Souls or Demons Souls. All have there bad areas and bosses, as well as areas and bosses that are downright amazing and genius. Bloodborne does get hit mostly with the bad areas and bosses towards the end though, which surprisingly are mostly the required areas near the end like Yahar'gul and a portion of Mensis (I think it's fun, but I can see some people getting really annoyed in the outer area lolol). Bosswise
Micolash and Celestial Emissary are Pinwheel levels of bad. I honestly still have no idea what they were thinking with those fights lol.

Thank god the optional areas were so amazing
Cainhurst, Nightmare Frontier, Upper Cathedral Ward, all amazing in every way possible. Absolutely loved it.

Not at all. I couldn't bring myself to finish Dark Souls because of the poor quality in the final 10% of the game, but I actually finished Bloodborne and thoroughly enjoyed every bit of it!

Looking forward to getting my ass kicked in NG+.
