Ok gents. Decision time. Got like 24K BEs and I'm standing at the
top door of Upper CW
. Someone had said not to go through this door yet, but to go either to the left or right and fight another optional boss. Sound about right?

I think I've hit a brick wall. I'm in the
Forbidden Woods
and I'm lost. I've created two shortcuts back to the lamp but still don't really have any idea where I'm going.

To the cleric beast arena.

Wait, what? How did you get the door open?

After you warp in and take the elevator down go right. Past the small snakes. You will see a drop off to the left. Go down. That leads to lake, pigs, blue guys and progress.

Gatling hunter
fell to his death and his drop is inaccessible (on top of fence i can touch but not get prompt for). What am i missing out on?

EDIT - -nm (maybe), just remembered old d*Souls reload trick...

EDIT -- worked like a charm (exit, reload, was next to his normal spot)

Tonitrus is getting ignored and makes me sad, that weapon makes bosses tremble, like literally. It's the boss slaying weapon. I usually save it for bosses because of the low durability but the 7 seconds buff is ridiculously powerful. Vicar Amelia went down like a chump with a tonitrus+5 and 20 on STR, I can't imagine how much powerful the thing will become with +10 and dat S scaling on STR. It's going to decimate everything.

the only drawback is the low durability, which pretty much makes it a boss weapon. I use the hammer to conserve Tonitrus' durability until the boss fight, once I reached the boss fight I equip it and I can see the boss trembling becuase it knows the beating that I'm about to unleash.

I've been loving it. What's the 7 second buff though ?

You can't open it, ENB said that in one of his last videos and it make sense, if you go to were the giant with chain you can look at the bridge from up there.

besides you can interact with the door in the alpha even though it says"can't open" just like what it says from the other side.

Have you opened both gates downstairs? If so you can get back to the CW lamp quickly - Down a couple of flighs and then take a left. I'd cash in your BEs and then run back to the Cathedral. Then go through the door and fight the boss. Leave left/right until afterwards

Is that hypogean gaol place only accessible from being captured by a sack guy? I never died to one so I guess I missed it.

Sorta? You can get there another way, but it'll be different. Can just go find one of those guys and die to him if you want.

Ebrieta's charge attack is only 10% or less possible to dodge and deals obscene damage... seriously

Walk to the backleft, then when she's about to hit, dodge twice to that same direction.

Is anyone finding this game extremely easy?

Other than some boss fights, I find very little challenge on this game. It seems that dodging towards an enemy, either to their left or right, is sufficient for taking down just about any enemy. This includes bosses, Cleric Beast was nothing but dodging into whatever arm was winding up to attack me. Blood Starved Beast got me once, but only because I forgot my poisen resist. That giant
white fox thing that you find praying
a cakewalk.

The only boss I had a problem with was
electrified-looking Cleric Beast thing
(forgot it's name). This is because you're forced to dodged into the enemy, attacking it's head while it does it's wide-swipes.

Granted, I had nothing but problems when I began. It seems I've ramped up quicker than the game has, and I doubt it'll change it up enough to by the end to keep combat challenging.

Want to add as well; any humanoid player-like enemy (other hunters, like the second boss), I have found to be incredibly fun/challenging.

Thanks. I already opened the gate so I'm cashing in now. Question though: I got a whole bunch of those thick coldbloods and a Frenzied Coldblood. How dangerous is the latter?

Beat the last boss last night. And made it back to him today in ng plus, lol. Short game when you know where to go.

Yep, Souls usually has a lot optional content, but Bloodborne has a crazy amount.

It's a shame people can miss out on so much.

No sir. You get caught by the air attack sometimes, but that is the only pseudorandom thing about the fight.

The spells don't seem to track randomly, it's just luck where you are able to catch them and attempt to dodge.

You're being asked to find and track incoming spells from the sky while navigating other obstacles or even trying to see where the spells are going to come from.

Rom is near level of quality of Bed of Chaos in terms of bosses.

He's also one of the most glitchiest bosses too

YOU DEFEATED. Game over.

Had help with the last boss but managed to
do the other last boss on my own.

Kind of a funny ending.
Slug love.

Difficulty can be really dependent on your level when you tackle things. Reason why a lot find the early hard but later not so much. 10 or so levels can make a huge difference, and some people just farm way more than others.

Love the boss design of
Martyr Logarius
. Learning a tidbit about his backstory from that church lad near the Cathedral Ward made him all the more menacing.

Dicked him first time tho. Sorry Mart.

LOL only on neogaf is bloodborne "extremely easy".

In no way is any part of bloodborne "extremely easy".

Manageable? Fine. Easier than dark/demons souls? Fine.

Extremely easy? No chance in HELL.

Overleveling you can make some of the bosses a complete joke. So yes you can make the game extremely easy if you wanted to.

I'm not a big fan of Chalice dungeons myself. I think it'd take something pretty special to make them fit into the FromSoft design. I have barely touched it, yet I've played through the main story with 5 different characters already. And yeah, you're very close to the end of the main story, but there might be a bit of optional stuff you haven't done.
I did a lot of optional stuff, but I may have missed a few things. For one thing
Eileen died early, the Odeon Tomb hunter killed her so I never did her quest, alas. I also missed most of the early Unseen Village since I didn't light the lamp when I got kidnapped there and killed Darkbeast Paarl instantly.
But I did
Cainhurst Castle, Nightmare Frontier, upper Cathedral and Ebrietas, etc. I'll do a last tour of the world before advancing to make sure I didn't miss anything I guess, heh.

I fucking hate hate hate hate those brain sucking mind flayers. They're the worst fucking enemies ever, not they bind you with their magic fast and far but they deal massive brain sucking damage and steal your insights. Walking around the upper cathedral never have been this tense plus stressful because you know those fuckers are lurking around the dark corners and the only damage you can deal most is thrust damage but you don't want to be anywhere near them. DeS Latria Mindflayers ain't got shit on them.
Yeah, they're assholes. Way worse than the Latria mindflayers IMO.

this a known bug yes:

There is glitch with the elevator for the Ebrietas boss area that currently has no workaround except going back to her area in New Game+. To avoid this glitch, be sure to send the elevator back up before attempting to fight Ebrietas or leave the area
Damn that sucks. I'm glad I always have the reflex of re-stepping on the elevator switch before getting off, so that if I die, I don't have to re-flip the lever (Father G got me into this habit after killing me a few times haha). My laziness saved me from this glitch!
Farming Chalice Dungeons is tedious. Why did FROM have to hide the platinum behind grinding through all these chalice Dungeons?? I mean they all look the same inside and the early ones are tedious but easy so why can't I just do something hard to skip to the good ones? It is against the spirit of BB design to force you to linearly crawl through the early Dungeons. I started them too late because I didn't know and now I need to spend a long time dungeon crawling through all these easy ones to get to the later ones that have the good stuff...
If getting the platinum is boring... don't do it. Simple.

Yes. The suspend functionality that came out a couple days after fucked over the game.
Anyone read this thread on reddit yet?

http://www.reddit.com/r/bloodborne/c...rne_easy_mode/

Basically the OP says running the game for more that 12 hours (including leaving it on suspend/resume mode) will reduce boss encounter movesets due to a memory leak. I really hope this isn't the case. It would make my last few kills feel less of an accomplishment if true. Anyone have any experience with this?
Wow, holy shit... I do leave it in Rest mode, and suspend/resume. But, I haven't experienced these bosses. At least not the way they say.

To elaborate on the examples listed on the Reddit link:
- Micolash had the tentacle attacks, but I don't recall a "cosmos attack";
- Ebrietas had forward lunges for sure, but I again don't recall a "cosmos attack". After dealing enough damage to her ugly face, she sorta transformed and started lunging constantly, which I dodged backwards and countered with a running/rolling attack, and baited her into repeating until she died. Not sure if she was glitched, but she was pretty tough even without any "cosmos attack". What are those supposed to look like anyway?
- Logarius did mostly scythe attacks, but also threw red skull projectiles at me when I was too far from him. I found him actually fairly easy. He hits hard but he can be parried for massive damage, and can be staggered IIRC, so he wasn't so bad for me. Maybe his magic shit happens if you play too defensively and give him time to cast? Or was he the glitched version? Sucks if so.
- Pretty sure I killed Amelia and Blood-starved beast before the suspend/resume feature, and their behaviour seemed as expected, so they're normal. Both were easy for me.
- One Reborn did vomit his acid thing, I had to run to higher grounds 'cause I was taking massive damage from that.
