Well amilia has made me rage quit lol.

I know my tactics are right I just have no mist to stop the heals. I got her about two hits from death but she just keeps healing. Watched a video a second ago. Guys using basically same tactics as me buy she only healed once. Made no sense. She heals much against me.

I really like this game but I hate grinding and there is a lot of that here (never really had to grind in dark souls) if you get stuck somewhere. Farming vials is boring and insight is really crap. Used at least 6 trying to get coop. 3 said failed connection almost straight away and still used up an insight and the others just no one ever joined but again still uses an insight.

I beat bsb on my first attempt but I have been stuck on amilia for like 3 hours. Healing on bosses sucks ugh.

Maybe I need to not play for a few days.

Fire paper. Molotovs. Throwing knives.

There's an item to prevent her from healing.

Yes. But I ran out and have no idea where to get more.

Also fire paper helps but I ran out. Still keeps healing like crazy against me. She would heal, attack a few times, heal and repeat. Went from almost dead to over 50% health 3 times in one fight.

Ethics question. My friend and I are playing coop and sometimes we get invaded. We don't want to die and are trying to make our way through the level. Is it bad that we team up to take out the invader?

Murder his ass by any means necessary. If they don't arrange a duel with your consent it's open season on reds.

Invaders kill me thinking they have rights in these games when they by nature force their way into people's game and try to prevent their progress. There's this girl who streams on Twitch I enjoy watching because she's a skilled DS/DS2/BB player, but she's a career invader and regularly bitches about heals during fights, which makes me audibly groan.

Is she the only boss you can fight right now?

I guarantee this is a real glitch, I've seen it multiple times in my playthrough. I even have a video of the Castle boss doing it, he totally skips the "powerup" phase along with it, which isn't just luck as that's something scripted to happen. The AI breaks somehow, though I don't know if it's necessarily a memory leak/how it actually happens. There's atleast four bosses where I know it happens.

I've had it happen twice, and both times it's been when I've managed to stunlock the boss just as they're changing phases, ie around 50%. That was VA and
Ebritas
. I figured it was the stagger that seems to break the AI. It doesn't get to finish the animation so it starts it again and just keeps looping.

I haven't used suspend/resume or left the game open for very long periods, so I don't think it's that, personally.

How did you get to the Nightmare Frontier before beating Brygenworth?

In the alleyway in Cathedral Ward that's full of NPC's, I was given a Tonsil Stone. For some reason, every NPC in that alley was the same guy and the same dialogue. Saying he could give me the key to great strength or something. I'd already died to the vortex to the right of the Cathedral before, maybe that was the trigger? Either way, I went back to that church to the right of the Grand Cathedral, got grabbed again, and the cutscene with the giant spider looking thing on the ceiling talking about Amygdala and then I woke up in the nightmare Lecture Building, and found my way to the Frontier. - This was all after I beat Vicar Amelia.

Those things you mention are all a bit unbalanced compared to the rest there.

The boss
of Byrgenwerth is easier than said Hunter. In fact I didn't come back to kill the Hunter until I was 5 levels higher than when I beat the boss.

The Spiders outside of the Castle are MUCH more difficult than anyone inside. Almost anyone, heh.

The Brain things are actually weak. But you need Frenzy resistance and Sedatives. Or approach it from the back.

Where is the boss? All I see is a bunch of those mutant fly things on the outside, the weird-as-fuck arcane scorpion thing, and the hunter walking down the stairs. There's a hatch in there, but it's locked or something. Unless the boss is at the top of the stairs? :p

Started a new skill based character with the cane, but I'm not enjoying it very much. It's weak as hell and the sword movements suck. In already considering trying out the saw spear instead.

Book it past the hunter, take the ladder up.

I can't beat
Gehrman
in NG+

when he gets his blue aura, is there literally nothing I can do but trade hits with him? he loses the ability to be stunned as far as I can see and hits way harder than I do, eventually I run out of potions and he kills me. hrm.

On NG++ and I actually feel like Im getting worse somehow, must have died like ten times on BSB, but that fight is still pretty fun with the parries and what not. I have like lvl 52 life and I still get one shooter by some shit and that's a bit of downer. Don't know if I remember things wrong but in Demons I actually felt like a bad ass after a while, here not so much and that's probably gonna limit how much I play this.

Was surprised to die on him in my NG+ since he was such a pushover in NG. I ended up just deciding that conservative for stage one, aggressive for stage 2 is the way to go. Because if you're going to be getting hit, may as well hit him too.

If you have 18-17 potions for his second phase, you should be well off enough to beat him.

Yah. I mean, I get it, it sucks if you're invading and get double teamed. That said, it sucks if you're playing coop and get invaded. I feel like that's the risk you take invading. I would assume it comes with the risk of invading.

I'm just happy if I find anyone to invade at all.

So I have a pretty lengthy question. It is in regards to C
ainhurst
C
astle
.
I've gotten to Queen Annalise & there is an Unopened Summons next to her. I understand that if I give the Summons to Alfred, he will kill her. Can I join the Vilebloods, then give the Summons to Alfred or is that not an option? (I also understand that she can be revived after her kills her, but I'd like to complete both quests before that takes place.)

Also, what exactly does joining the Vilebloods do? I've seen people mention that it's like the Covenant in Souls games, but I've never played a Souls game.
Thank you to anyone who can answer this!

Join vilebloods, let Alfred kill the queen, go to where you first met Alfred and get his rune. Now, you can be in both

I had similar issues with VA after one-shotting BSB. Just keep at it. I found that baiting her jump attacks worked best for me as I could roll in behind and get a few shots in before backing away again to bait another jump. When she got to healing hp range I stayed a little closer and just rushed in to interrupt her two attempts (on the try I ended up getting her).

Yeah, I'm not convinced it's solely on suspend/resume even if that ends up being a consistent way to do it. Either way I really want them to fix that quick, since some of the best fights seem to suffer from the potential bug.
Martyr Logarius and Mergo's Wet Nurse were both really fun fights to me that have it a lot, NG+ Wet Nurse did nothing as I got behind it, never did the haze move and ended the fight in less than a minute. My original Logarius fight was piss easy and I got destroyed on NG+ for a bit since I saw his full moveset, even before his powerup phase he did moves I never saw originally.

I also kept closing the app since it messes with online yet still had it.

Welp, I killed P
atches
. Had no idea he was an NPC.
Having a spider body will do that for you. I doubt I missed anything worthwhile? I'm sure he would have tried to kill me anyway.

I'm probably missing something, but could someone tell me why my beckoning bell would be greyed out? Wouldn't mind a hand with the
Blood Starved Beast
and can't use it.

One small change I'd recommend to FROM for coop play is to not charge a damn insight when you ring the bell. It should only take it once someone accepts. Everyone I know who looks for coop from time to time has lost insight because nobody accepts so they get bored and move on. End result - people don't bother looking for help so that aspect of the game gets vastly diminished.
