Tonsil Stone, can be found
in the first area of Hemwick right next to the shortcut elevator.

Also lets just say once you have that item the big open room to the right side of the grand cathedral makes a whole lot more sense now.

Actually, you can get the stone
at any window/door. All of them are replaced until you get it, then they swap back after you reset the area
.

If you soup up your Fire Resist, you can usually survive a hit and heal up.

Try to get a little in front of him and bait his chomp attack where he winds his head up to his right side and then bites in a semicircle in front of him. When he does, it's pretty easy to dash to his right side (your left) and get in a few hits. He'll usually do a charging dash across the arena after that, so be ready to move back a bit to avoid getting hit. Rinse, repeat. Once you get in the groove, you can pretty much follow this strategy for the entire fight.

been trying that but keep getting hit :/

the only success I have so far is when he does that attack, rush up and hit his head once or twice then back away. it's slow as hell but it works.... until he starts doing new attacks in his second phase.

do you use lock-on for your strat ?

Without going too much into spoiler territory, where should I head next? I beat
Blood Starved Beast, Amelia, Witch and Paarl.

To my knowledge, there are three paths that I can take but they are all locked:
1. Door at the top of the church workshop; 2. The door asking for a password; 3. The door blocked by the huge invisible monster that kills me instantly.
Thanks!

I beat the first two bosses on my first try without dying. I haven't died in hours
no I didn't know about the music box, either
. This game seems easier than the other ones. But I still really enjoy the level design and characters, possibly more so than Dark Souls.

One small change I'd recommend to FROM for coop play is to not charge a damn insight when you ring the bell. It should only take it once someone accepts. Everyone I know who looks for coop from time to time has lost insight because nobody accepts so they get bored and move on. End result - people don't bother looking for help so that aspect of the game gets vastly diminished.

Aye, that bothered me at first. But as I progressed in the game (and in dungeons) I realized insight is not difficult to attain. I hit 99 and then started buying random stuff just to drop it down a bit. Had I known how easy it was to come by insight from the beginning I would've attempted many more bell uses.

Ah well.

Is anyones framerate tanking in the L
oran
D
arkbeast
fight? I could handle the rest of the game but my inputs are so delayed that I'm getting hit a lot :\

You have the password.

Watch it. We got a badass over here!

Ahaha, I had that exact feeling right up until I got to the U
nseen Village
. It was if FROM was saying, "...oh, you thought we were going to go easy on you? Ha."

Third defliled Chalice boss is wrecking me.

Amygdala
The first two forms are easy as fuck. But the third form is just ridiculous. Crazy difficulty spike. Its reach becomes immense, and all hits are basically instant KO

I'm in the Pthumeru Labyrinth Chalice Dungeon and just beat
Watch Dog of the Old Lords
(Layer 3), and there doesn't seem to be an exit anywhere?

Where did I get it lol?

The cutscene that you see when you touch the beastly skull on the altar after messing up Vicar Amelia
.

If you had memorized everything that the game tells you via the dialogue, item descriptions and the notes that you can read up to that point, it makes perfect sense. Most people don't. I sure didn't :p, not at that point anyway. NG+ is the time for soaking up all the lore.

There are two ways to kill it during its third phase. You can stick to its butt and attack its tail, or you can just keep your distance and attack its arms. I don't like being very close to it because it makes it harder to avoid attacks. Here's a video I took of my fight against it. You can see that it takes me 4 minutes to get it in its third phase and then 7 minutes to finish it off - I was pretty stressed and kept on missing my chances but as you can see it's fairly simple to avoid its attacks when you stay at a distance. I'm sure I could have killed it in < 2 minutes after getting it into its third phase if I didn't miss that much.

The attack you need to learn how to avoid the most is the one where it slams each arm down twice in a row during the third phase. If you spam the dodge button you'll get crushed. You need to dodge once, wait for a second or so and then spam the dodge button.

Ok guys. Back at it. Starting at the lamp at H
emwick
L
ane
and about to walk into this group of laughing people. Anything I should know in particular?

Just discovered a bit of NPC interaction. If you
talk to the old woman in the rocking chair in the Cathedral Ward while wearing the red dress, she gives you sedatives.

Now I'm just trying to figure out where to go. I've got the Castle, Unseen, and a nasty hunter where
Vicar
used to be. Brutal fighter. I also have to make my way back to the
Gaol
because it sounds like trouble is brewing.

I don't remember having quite as many options in Dark Souls. Even though there were still branching paths, it felt linear, as if you were supposed to go in a certain direction. The backtracking is more rewarding in Bloodborne, and I feel like I always have a few options.

Just finished the game. Good stuff. Those last few boss battles definitely weren't super difficult, but part of that may be that by then most people will have learned to not just charge head first into every fight and just take their time. I definitely died much less as I went through the game.
Screw Nightmare Frontier and its poison/frenzy galore though.

Not really it's a fairly simple area. Just don't aggro too many enemies at once if you can but that's something you should keep in mind for the entire game.

Thanks for the vid. I see you're using lock-on. Maybe that'll help me out as well.

I rarely use the lock-on when battling big and fast enemies. The camera goes crazy

I'm sure it's been posted already, but that Reddit thread about reduced boss movesets is a bit of a bummer. There were a number of bosses that repeated the same shit over and over. Now, I know why.
