Got the Platinum! My second Platinum ever. By far the hardest parts of the game were the Defiled Chalice Dungeon and Great Pthumeru Ihyll Chalice Dungeon. Goddamn that was brutal.

Good game. But I still like Dark 1 better.

Dark 1
Bloodborne = Demon's

Dark 2

So you have to beat some Chalice Dungeons to get trophies huh? Oy vey.

Ok so I finally made it through this hellish village and got a building with what looks like the Blair Witch Project basement and bodies everywhere. What am I about to encounter and should I dump all of my BEs real quick and come back?

Ehh that boss isn't really that tough in ng

This game is just bizarre. I was having an easy time not long ago, now I'm getting absolutely wrecked at Cainhurst Castle. These spider things hit like a truck, and bounce around giving you barely any breathing space. Is this area supposed to be this hard? I just killed the main boss(es) at Forbidden Woods.

You are definitely there a bit too early. I wouldn't do that area til level 60 or 70 honestly. You should check out the next area after the Woods.

CaneWhip uses arcane? Didnt know that.

Would upping arcane make a notable difference?
Every weapon scales with arcane

That is just for when you put a gem on your weapon that gives it some elemental damage.

And: spiders, why does it have to be spiders?? :O

Spiders ? In Cainhurst castle ? I think you are at
Mergo's loft

Found this pic on twitter..pretty hilarious lol

Lol. From makes the case that less is more. You can get lost from time to time, but it directs you fairly well.

Just started so only beginning to wrap my head around it all but right away it has that smooth Dark Souls feel and not the clunky DeS and DS2 feel. I don't think the jump is quite DS1 great but thankfully it seems much better than the stupid DS2 abomination. So far the lack of shield has made me more conservative since I can't risk a bad situation I back way way off to avoid the danger. I noticed they put a message at the start about being nice to fellow players. Anyway it's been lots of fun so far and I can't wait to see what's next.

Guys, in N

rontier, how do I get to the bridge at the start? I'm running out of ideas, I've already explored all the swamp area

He probably means outside of the castle, they killed me like 5 times before I just said fuck it and ran in. Not sure if I missed anything outside, I know there was a path that went down, but never could kill one of them much less all of them, lol.

You need to find the path down into the main swamp pool that lets you come up behind a rock thrower, then there's a path you can drop down to, go into a cave with like 5 poison guys, then keep following that path and you eventually will run past another rock thrower into another poison pool area. The shortcut is to the right of the bridge, don't forget to get it first, makes the boss run extremely easy.

Are people just not invading in this game?

Havent had a single invasion. Tempted to try it out myself but I dont want to be a dick.

You can only be invaded when a Sinister Bell Maiden is present in your world. Outside of Summoning for Coop and a few areas in the game, if you play solo, you will not be invaded.

If it's the bridge I'm thinking of, you need go
in the little path below the ringing bell woman, into a small cave, then past a lot of enemies throwing rocks at you. This leads to a shortcut (if you stand on a triangle shaped rock/statue thing leaning down) and the bridge.

Fuck nightmare frontier. Why was this area made

it looks cool at least.

Finally will have lots of free time to play

Made it to
Father G

He makes me want to cry!!! And I have the
music box
. Might have to breakdown and watch a video

Only in
Nightmare Frontier
.

I got invaded there once, killed him narrowly, then killed the bell-ringer.

She doesn't respawn. No more invasions for me, I guess.

Yeah, the benefit is that the level design and world is showing you where to go, and not constant quest arrows. It makes you actually pay attention to your surroundings, which in turn increases immersion by a lot. (Naturally this method is dependent on good level design. Which is probably why so many games rely on quest markers and big maps these days.)

I'm still on my first run lol. I'm scared to go downstairs.

BELIEVE!

You'll do fine haha. If you opened the shortcut just go save the blood echoes really quick then just run back in there so you avoid the axe assholes. The boss there isn't too bad compared to everything you've already faced though.

Jesus I'm getting so fucked by
Vicar Amelia
. This thing is merciless oh my god.

This is definitely harder than demon's or dark souls ever felt, to me.

She isn't that hard. She's one of those bosses where you need good judgment of when to approach her and when to avoid her, but you don't want to be too far away from her when you do avoid her.

Didn't know non root chalice dungeons had variable designs like that. Good to know.

Yup.

Okay. XD Which one is better?

Depends on the situation. If I'm dealing with multiple enemies, I go flamethrower. If I'm dealing with just one annoying a-hole, I go with the gun.

Ok, but if I get ganked, I know where you sleep. :P

I forgot to ask about this a few days ago, but there was a house in walked in either charnel lane or he woods where there was a female hunter upstairs. I went up because it sounded like she wanted to bang me. I ended up killing her. Was that wrong? Should I not have done that?

Looking for this
Beast Claw
or whatever the hell its exact name is, is driving me mad. It's the last weapon I need and the boss on floor three of this chalice,
Abhorrent Beast
is proving near impossible for me to kill.

What bridge?
if you go to the area below the bell ringing lady, it loop back near the beginning lamp

Yes, that! Thanks. Was looking all over the damn swamp below for an entrance or something. Those rock dudes were too distracting, I couldn't find the shortcut lol.

Btw, i'm curious. Anyone else has saved the whore?
what would happen if i accept her offer to take her blood?

Her blood heals you by a huge amount and apparently improves your stamina regen, not that I ever noticed because of my 50 endurance. =/

The only point of concern is dealing with Adella if you are trying to save Arianna.
