how? she has attacks which prevent you get behind her as well.

I couldnt fight her from the front in the first place (2 hits was dead) So i got behind her from the start of the fight and then keep circling with her whenever she attempted to turn to me. If she flew away or dodged back I had to roll through/under the sweeping attacks her tentacles made.

Dammit! I got the elevator glitch in upper cathedral ward. Does anyone know of a fix?

it is a known bug and there is no fix yet.

I found her in central yarnham before when she gives you the shake off Cape emote, so that means she should be in front of the chapel, right? I can't find her here and I've definitely not seen her since our first encounter.

so did you do her event at father G's spot (lol) already..?

Bummer. Thanks for the update.

I'm Level 140 or so, and I still only have like 20 in END. It doesn't seem to matter as much, with rolls/dodges being pretty goddamn cheap stamina wise. With it only at 20, I can get 5-6 full swings including transforming and have a bit left for dodging away. Not too many mobs require me to swing more than that, or allow me to without slapping me back.

. If you did that then it's probably bugged.

That's possible, but I'm pretty sure she's never been outside the chapel. I've been to that railing many, many times without knowing she should have spawned there. Even before beating VA.

Have you been to the odeon lantern again? I think in my game she got killed by Henry. I don't think I've ever seen her.

is the most annyoing boss in the game, at least for me. I actually beat him fairly easy on NG, but on NG+, i've probably tried 50 times and i cant do it. One time i got his life down to around 15% though. The real problem is that the camera goes crazy sometimes when you lock on, and not locking on makes it even harder, in my opinion. The
AOE attack is also kinda annoying, but at least its possible to roll through it with good timing, then you wont take any damage.

As someone who never played any Souls games Bloodborne is taking its toll on me. I thought I was doing so well and had nearly 10k echoes, then I hit the second boss
Father Gascoigne
and got whooped when it
changed form
. Any tips?
The best tip I can offer is not to walk around with 10k souls in your pocket that early in the game. Even if it's annoying to backtrack and/or repeat things, you'll feel better about exploring if you use those souls to level up.

Also, don't feel too discouraged over the loss. Whatever you lose now, that amount will be trivial later in the game. So don't think of it as losing 30 minutes worth of exp now, but rather losing a couple of minutes of exp in the future.

As for Gascoigne specifically, use him as practice. Just don't practice with a fortune in your pocket.

I'm really surprised people are having so many problems with
Rom

If he starts using his
ice-storm attack, start sprinting. When the first ice chunk falls, run perpendicular to the angle from which it fell and perform a leap near the end. This keeps you from ever being hit. After that... it's a matter of don't be greedy. Get some bolt, sprint in without a care in the world, and whack his butt right where his tail starts with a sprint-opener. Just don't get greedy, and repeat. When he does his little tummy roll and he's near the end, just stay near his butt but outside the area he's rolling to and from and whack away. He basically melts. I had a +4 Tonitritus (sp?) and I was doing ~200 ish a swing if I spanked where his tail met his body.

That shouldn't be possible because she hasn't told me about Oeden Tomb yet. I've been back here and nothing unusual was there. I even went back to the sewers just to check and she's gone. Not at Grand Cathedral either.

Weird fucking bug.

I would still suggest you to not use lock on. Bait an attack and then roll through and get some hits on his back legs.

Amygdala is the worst boss ever!
Really? There were 3 bosses I killed from the first try, and that was one of them. It's so easy just to stay behind her. Just watch out for her stomping. Later in the fight she starts jumping Away from you, but in my case she always jumped and landed with her back towards me making it an easy kill.

She doesn't have to tell you about it. I ran into the encounter without speaking to her in my first playthrough.

on my first playthough she also didn't tell me about the oedon tomb. I had only met her in the sewers and didnt know she had a questline. So later on my oedon tomb waypoint suddenly stopped working and it turned out she was there fighting henryk. So i guess not all her events are necessary and that she also progresses if you reach certain points in the story.

I killed her easily first time, in one try.
But in NG+ and Defiled Chalice (-50% health) she is giving me a hard time.

Is there anyone who passed Defiled CD? I would really appreciate help defeating her. Please (levels 130-170)

Anyone have the Platinum yet? am at defiled chalice dungeon this thing is kinda brutal.. how far do i have to go ):

Finished the defiled dungeon yesterday. My body has new holes today - it was quite brutal. But I loved the challenge.

There's one dungeon left after the defiled one. I'm currently on the second layer of that dungeon and I'm getting demolished by its boss. One more boss to go after this one and I'll get my Platinum.

Make sure you have a life string and 4 Red Jelly's tho, otherwise you won't be able to access the last dungeon.

Coming in at 3 times beating the game I feel I can rate the story bosses reasonably well (no chalice bosses here, not enough experience):

has first two phases which are pretty easy overall but the 3rd phase combined with the cheap 1 hit kill move makes him much harder than he should be. The poison AOE aura he has is super cheap and without antidotes/poison res gear it makes the fight a bit more challenging. His attacks are easy to avoid for the most part and he can be parried easily as well. It's really just the OHK move and the poison cloud that makes him tough... the rest is very manageable. In addition, he is one of the few bosses where you can summon an NPC so that makes him even easier.

This was by far the hardest fight for me in the game, but absolutely fair. I am curious about how difficult it is now that I have beaten the rest of the game and have another 40 hours of getting used to the controls etc under my belt.

Tier 7 (Cheap as fuck)

Unbugged version is a cheap shit. The biggest swipes that hit multiple times because she has multiple arms. She has attacks that can hit behind her and her charge attacks have hit boxes all around (so you can get hit by them even if you are no where close to it). Her arcane lasers can one shot you, her blood spit can inflict full frenzy and her electric field passively damages you just for being close. Everything she does takes a huge chunk of your life. This boss fight is hard for all the wrong reasons.

I couldn't disagree more here. This is probably the other best fight in the game. Once I had all of the move set figured out, I was able to take her down without frustration. It took a long time to figure it all out, but that's the point of an optional end game boss, right?

Hmm. I might just kill a certain Vacuous enemy and see if that triggers her to be hostile so I can at least get the badge.

I don't have enough ritual blood (2) to access the next dungeon, should I go and find some or can I skip it and go to the next set..?

Thank you! i'm just having trouble with the tiny health bar i have ATM still haven't killed the first boss on it everytime its close to death 2 shot combo lol

Oh, so PewDiePie is going to do a series of this game. He announced it yesterday. He seems to love the game.

+1 million sales?

After you warp in and take the elevator down go right. Past the small snakes. You will see a drop off to the left. Go down. That leads to lake, pigs, blue guys and progress.

Thanks, I made it through and fought
Shadow of Yharnam
which was a fun battle.

I'm now in
Byrgenwerth
and I feel like my +6 Saw Cleaver isn't cutting it anymore. Should I have something better at this point? If so, what do people suggest?

I'm currently in the Forbidden Woods.

I'm pretty nervous about moving forward because I have 30k blood echoes on me and want to cash in before dying. I found the cannon and sent that suspicious guy to Iosefka's. I then started moving forward, saw a guy with snakes coming out of his neck across a bridge, and nope.gif'd the hell out of there.

Is there a shortcut back to the lamp anywhere nearby?

LOL, nope, it's excellent. you can wear that for most of the game!

Yeah it's hard enough finding a co-op partner and the game just came out. They should let you co-op with anyone and just scale your stats to theirs. The random co-op is going to be dead in not too long if it stays the way it is... It'll be very hard to summon anyone. Too restrictive system even with a lot of people playing IMO.

It seems worse initially but it's much more manageable than where you normally fight it.
What you'll wanna do is thin out the first set of spiders then go on the offensive, remember to keep hitting as it teleports. Now for the second/third phases just hide behind a pillar far enough so that it does the long range meteor attack. While its wasting time doing that you can draw spiders to your safe spot then take them out. Once they're at a low enough number go hit Rom. After the second teleport it gets more aggressive don't try to get too many hits in.

Thanks! I thought you were supposed to ignore the
spiders
. That's what I was going wrong.

I'm at an endgame zone,
Nightmare Frontier
and I'm standing next to
some singing gravestone?!
. Does this have any meaning?

I suggest Ludwig's holy blade. I have mine at +9 with some great attack upgrade blood gems and I'm beasting through the game. God, I love this game!

The fight is broken for some people. My first run took 4 hours to beat him, even then i was lucky. His spammed magic non stop every 3 second, giving you pretty much 0 chance to get close, and his projectiles were unavoidable. Almost impossible to beat. My second run through of the game i beat him first try, avoided projectiles no problem, no spamming. Not the players fault, its the game. Luck of the draw i guess.

If you kept going forward you'd have been a happy guy.
