Any lamps closer to
The One Reborn
or do I have to go the long way from Unseen Village?

Also, I haven't fought
The Witches
yet, which I heard was before
The One Reborn
, should I fight them first?

Yeah you should. And the shortcut back to the beginning of Yahar'gul has a palce you can walk out to get a different shortcut to the boss.

I recommend cheesing the hunters one by one by running back outside. Once you kill one he's down for good, so you it's ok if you kill one and then die.

I was to the point of frustration that I didn't want to do that anymore. Sadly, I gave up and ran past them :( I feel ashamed.

Aha, only two bosses were difficult, eh? You wouldn't have happened to have left your game in rest mode for 12+ hours now, hmmmm? :P

Haha no, I only played for a couple hours at a time and I don't really use the rest feature on PS4. I also have looked at boss videos since then and I definitely saw all the moves for most of them. Except for
Paarl
who literally went down in 3 hits.

Getting good with parrying makes all these bosses pretty easy though, as does constantly staying behind them because most only have frontal attacks.

Still, most of the fights were pretty enjoyable.

Nah, he does them normal too.

Someone's been unwillingly making the game easy.

What do you mean? Is there something I've done that makes him not attack with the magic stuff?

Edit:

Aye, seems you've been struck by the much mentioned and maligned boss glitch.

Oh man, that sucks! Feel like I've just been cheesing the last few hours now.

I haven't left the game running for a dozen hours though. I mean, I use the Rest Mode all the time, but whenever I stop playing Bloodborne I quit out because it restarts the game anyway.

So I found a item that will power bolt up my cane but requires my arcane attribute to be level 25...I've been mostly ignoring arcane ..its at level 15 ATM and I'm like level 62 . is it worth grinding arcane to level 25 just to use bolt arcane ability .???

Seems like lot of grinding since all this time I been building up my skill and vitality

Just beat M
icolash
. The enemies are getting much harder this late in the game but the bosses are easy even by 'casual' game standards.

Yeah, I was pretty disappointed in the final four or so bosses. Way too easy in my opinion, especially compared to the earlier ones. And the enemies in the final areas weren't really too difficult for me, it's just those one enemies
(bell ringers and eyeball cursing fools)
simply made things super annoying, forcing you to pretty much book it past everything at first, which isn't the sort of difficulty that I find rewarding. I still love the game though.

When you get to the 1st unseen village lantern, run to the elevator
and run towards the wall when going down, you will on a roof with a transporter. Kill the dogs, warp and go down the ladder and you'll be right at the entrance.

There's a warp point shortcut that you can unlock that makes the run pretty short.

took me twice to take her out. Fire paper and the cane whip absolutely dominated her. The easiest boss up to that point for me.
Yeah I used the Cane Whip as well. I'm grinding a bit to buy Ludwig's sword, but the Cane Whip is pretty much my current main weapon, shit's so good when you get used to it.

So is parrying essential in this game? I've gotten past four bosses without parrying, but I have a friend that tells me I better learn how to parry, or die.

I didnt understand or learn how to parry for the entire game. Never really needed it. Until i reached
Gherman
Lets just say i learned how to do it real quick and beat the boss very easily after struggling for a while without it. Parrying made new game plus a joke.

Look above where you picked up that up. Notice the glowy? There you go.

Now use your sense of direction to make your way there.

Figuring out how to get to tantalizing glowy loot is one of the best parts of the game, it accentuates the fantastic level design. The environment is peppered with landmarks to help you orient yourself and triangulate the location of various points of interest even when they are no longer in view. In this case there's a very large and distinct landmark at the top of that cliff.

The telescope/binoculars/monocular are super important and useful items for your first runs though Demons/Dark/Blood.

What the hell? This gap is too big to jump. NVM: Got it. :P

If you unlock the elevator near the 1st lamp, go in it but jump out in the middle, before it reaches the ground. Kill some dogs and you will find a strange bright plate... It will lead you almost at the boss area. Its an excelent shortcut.

Try to stay close to the boss, then theres a lot less chance that he does that air attack. It can still happen though, but its more rare. When you stay closer, you still have other attacks to avoid, but the air attack is the hardest one to avoid, in my opinion.

ignore spiders, run in, hit Rom a few times, run out and repeat.

Thanks both for the advice. It did the trick and now he's dead :)

Woah hang on, just watched the Micolash fight on YouTube and he didn't pull any of those moves on me. What the hell?

I had ML giving me tons of trouble and when I finally came back and beat him I realized he only used magic attacks in the first 30 seconds and then nothing but melee. It wasn't after a long gaming run either. I've heard about the memory leak issue but this wasn't it. Maybe my insight level? Dunno

So now that I'm done with the game and going through NG+ I wanted to rank the bosses in terms of personal difficulty. It is interesting to see what bosses people find hard.

Too Easy
Father Gascoigne
Rom
Witch of Hemwick
Darkbeast Paarl (would've been harder had I fought him sooner)
One Reborn
Celestial Emmisary
Amygdala
Micolash
Mergo's Wet Nurse
Gehrman
Moon Presence

Slightly Annoying
Cleric Beast
Blood-starved Beast
Shadow of Yharnam
Martyr Logarius

Fuck these guys
Vicar Amelia
Ebrietas

I was going to type out a list, but I pretty much agree. Most bosses went down on the first or second try.

Glorious aftermath of the fight with the hunter right before Rom.

Hey guys. I haven't played this game in about a week. I think I'm still really early on.
Some sack dude transported me to this hidden village area, I lit the lamp, and I started exploring. I met the Darkbeast Paarl, he's kicking my ass. I have no idea how to fight those sack guys either, they almost always kill me.

Do I give up? Is there an alternate route? How can I get good?

As I've said before, I'm not entirely convinced it's caused by leaving your console on for long periods. I feel like sometimes the AI can just get stuck.

Anyone know where to farm Blood Chunks? I only got one in the W
oods
. Also anything about B
yrgenwerth
I need to be on the lookout for?

9vb3tzza Pthumeru Ihyll Active
Clockwise Rune +15%, Oedon Writhe Rune
Ring of Betrothal
Blood Rock

This glyph dungeon is so good. Do it, gaf, the bosses are extremely easy, too.

Its an absolute nightmare, been farming for 2-3 hours with not a single one dropping.

Apparently the best places in the game to farm are the
gargoyles at Cainhurst and the blue eyed wolves in upper cathedral ward.

Really this was just a massive oversight by From not making chunks farmable or purchasable.

Any one?

And can you do something after you beat the daughter of cosmos?

Probably a bug or intentional for dramatic effect.

2nd question: Yes, but spoilers:
you can revive Annalise if you sent Alfred to kill her at Cainhurst by grabbing her chunk of flesh and using the altar.

I don't really think you need to farm for chunks. The game hands them out in later areas. Pretty sure I had enough to get 3 weapons to +9

I am trying to co-op in Am
ygdala
but i get a message that the network is down or something and it kicks me to the menu.Does anyone else have a problem?
