What are the known "spells" that we can obtain? I only have
old hunters bone and the beast roar
ones so far.
Executioner gauntlets, Augur of ebrietas, a call beyond and one i dont remember the name of that buffs your weapon with arcane

I found Gazza proper easy NG+. Like he'd fallen into his kebab and alcohol phase after what was the high point of his career in NG.

Yea I dunno - Gascoigne was the hardest boss for me in NG as well. That guy just has my fucking number. I facerolled every boss in the game pretty much (did
Rom
in 2 attempts) during NG, too.

So far the only boss I hate is
Undead Giant
in the chalice dungeon. I just don't get the fight at all...

Edit: As soon as you complain on GAF it goes down.... Of course.

Game is very love hate....i threw my control into a wall on the blood starved beast and it broke in half...i glued the control back together and managed to fix my R2 trigger and the rattle in my control then i stocked up on arnold levels of Molotovs ...rope and standard...the flame sprayer and a full set of blood vials and quicksilver bullets and absolutely raped it

.....high fiving all round.....get killed by first enemy on next stage

I rang bell 2x times for HEMWICK LANE for witch and received no help :(
wasted 2 insights (

You don't really need a partner, it's piss easy.

Most of my co-op insights have been wasted though. It rarely finds anyone. I've had two successful summons, with Paarl & Rom. Otherwise nothing, even if I leave the game on for a few minutes.

Worst bell ever

I literally just finally beat that asshole. Hoooooooooooly shit it feels good.

After getting him down to like 15% health so many fucking times and choking on one of his goddamn fucking twirly ass blood shitting rage mode hits trying to get the cyst to pop with melee this time i said fuck it and ranged the last few hits on him. I'll post a video in a bit.

I haven't even started the chalice dungeons but it's impressive that even those have unique bosses. I thought they'd all be recycled bosses. That's a good incentive to try them out.

Has the memory leak issue that causes bosses to go wack been mentioned?

Been away from the thread(s) for a few days, so not totally up to speed on the recent water cooler talk. Skimmed the last few pages and did a quick search and didn't see much. Apologies if its old news now

Haha I switched to doing as much long range damage as possible and it finally went down.
This time anyway...

The best way to deal with them is this:
Roll underneath and towards their attacks, they're a little slow to aim so you can duck under an attack, take a swing at their legs and roll away. The second undead giant I faced was beating me senseless when I was trying to dance in and out, but once I went right for it it dropped in one shot.

Probably both. It does have a ton of HP though. I kinda always feel like I need more damage. :/ I've been neglecting vit in favour of str and skl for so long >.<.
Yeah he definitely does. By comparison Father G took about the same time for me on NG+ than it did NG but CB took much longer.

About a million times, yes :p.

should i be doing C
ainhurst Castle
or Y
ahargul
first? Both feel equally impossible and im starting to get frustrated.

If your PS4 has been suspended and resumed that will drastically interfere with multi. I went from not being able to summon/be summoned at all to getting a bell response within seconds simply from restarting the system (which also addresses the boss AI bug).

Also helps if you haven't overleveled beyond what most players are doing in the area.

i'm putting it down to a game's worth of experience and going through the concentrated B-Team essence of the later Chalice Dungeons :p

First "Souls" type game here. Finally killed off the Blood-Thirsty Beast last night. He was a bastard! It took me probably 8 tries total. So Cleric Beast is dead, Father G. is dead, Dhjuru is dead and now the Blood-Thirsty Beast is dead.

I hate this game, but damn do I love it, lol.

i didn't have prob with that until this fight. i know i can win, it's just less fun. one shotting is yuck.

yep, it's just tedious since the boss room is right near the lamp. the guy just takes a while to kill because he has an insanely large amount of HP and we have half of what we got.

It's a pretty bad feeling when you get summoned to help with a boss and the host dies just a second before I deal the final killing blow to the boss.

Cool. Nuff said

Real life etc etc so a bit behind on things. Only just read the official confirmation and it explains a few things about a number of bosses. Some of my earlier posts mentioned a number of odd behaviours going on compared to other people experiences, so its good to know why it happened.

Also, apparently I'm not as good at Bloodborne as I thought I was in those 1st few days.

Guess its time to re-roll and do this shit properly

noob alert but I'm stuck on the Blood Starved Beast. I tried using
the blood cocktail things to lure it away, but I couldn't seem to throw them far enough.
I also tried
using the torch paper on my weapon, which nearly worked, but it went beserk and killed me with about a quarter of its life left.
I've died on it about 10 times now and I'm at my wits end.

do you know how to parry with you gun ? It's very easy to do on this boss as it kinda always do the same attack

My google search abilitys must be crap because everyone is talking about the contact emote but no one says where to get it :(

Edit: also anyone else having issues with the motiin control for emotes?

i'm currently fighting this asshole. will cont. in a bit. one shotting is not so fun.
if you are on new game+ use the scythe. Stay close to his head, when he goes for the sweeping bite, as his head comes back to neutral tap L2. Eventually he starts adding more bites into that attack, just keep range and L2 when hes done biting. Learn the tell for the charge attack, when he spits lava charge in and smash his legs.

My 2c on Insight; the suspicion it scales difficulty is flawed, in my opinion, beyond character attack gimmicks (as in function over stat changes) and maybe some encounter tweaks. That and I think high insight = high frenzy susceptibility? Anyway, if there's some World Tendency-like scaling through insight I doubt it's significant. By the end of the game I had 90-something and still cleaned up the final bosses without dying.

The trick of Yahargul is to run from the 1st lamp, nonstop, to the next lamp. Then deal with the 3 hunters, then open the elevator shortcut (you can jump from the middle of it and get really fast to the boss).

Its a pretty disgusting area though. I would say its almost as bad as Blight Town.

Have you tried getting a co-op hunter?

I had to solo kill it as well (my co-op hunter died) but she played a vital role in getting the bosses attention. For me, the boss was susceptible to heavy blunt attacks (R2 Axe) and it would frequently be knocked down after it's pattern combo. When it starts spraying, just run, not only the because of the poison but it will go immediately into the combo attack after roaring. I had to use molotovs (10) on it and my gun was the flamethrower. Good luck!

yeah, but I'm either always doing it at the wrong time with this boss, or my gun is too weak (if that's possible).

I did get him stunned once but he hit me at the same time so i couldn't follow up with a strong attack.
