I hate how one of the materials needed for the last Pthumeru Chalice is a missable item found in one of the late game areas.
It shouldn't take long to get to it in NG+, but it's still annoying.
defiled chalice down. 2 more to go, eh?
Item 1 should be outlawed. One-shot has always been item 2 forever and ever.
"One try" <---
Be aggresive. As soon as he teleports, run and start hitting. It worked for me. I either beat him in 1-2 minutes or I die eventually.
Mind putting in spoiler tags where and what this is?

So I've been running a Professional, leveling up Skill, Endurance and Vitality equally. Should I go for the Threaded Cane?
Bloodtinge is related to damage done by firearms. Arcane is something like magic? It increases arcane damage (fire and bolt damage) and allows you to use hunter's tools. Can someone explain Bloodtinge and Arcane upgrades to me? I use primarily Ludwig's Sword and have put about 25 levels into each of the stats. Bloodtinge and Arcane are at 10 for me and I'm wondering if I should invest anymore.
best early game grind is from Church of Good Chalice lamp throught the area with the 5 wolves. You get a ton of blood stone shards and each wolf gives 1k echos which gets you up to level 40 pretty quick.
Another option would be to grab the tonsil stone and get to the lecture hall 1st floor. You will get 20k echos per run and that place works to grind to about level 65 or so before it gets a little slow.
Yeah, seriously. Anyone who seriously thinks you mean the other doesn't understand this game.I disagree. I've both heard and used "one shot" refer to the first one a lot (especially in MMOs "We just one shot that boss", etc).
he is referring tothe Living String which you recieve from killing the brain (you have to go down a elevator to get to it. Also dont forget to use the make contact emote in front of the brain for the +30% echos rune)
That's one emphatic yes. Are there any other good options?HELL YES
Glad to help! ^^Holy shit, that actually helped. Just kept rushing in and killed him in 3 minutes time. Thanks!

Right, I think I'm at the very end of the game now and I need some help: I have all three Tand I believe they are used to get thehird Umbilical CordsWhat do I actually need to do with them? Do I just use them from my inventory? If so, when should I use them? There's still a lot of content I want to do, and I don't want to cut it short right at the end by using them too early.true ending.
Yup, and whenever.Reposting because it didn't get an answer:
First one can't be opened, second one is a shortcut.I have some questions about ending related stuff
The hunter's dream is burning so I guess this is it. What do I have to do to make sure I get to fight all the bosses? Also, there are two doors I haven't managed to open: the first one is the one in Cathedral Ward, past the Giant with the massive ball on a chain. The second is Nightmare of Mensis, after you get the "slab" you can drop down and if you keep going there's a locked door. Any hints?
Where is that enemy exactly? Apologies I haven't made it very far intoIf that's where it is.either of the Nightmare areas.

Skill and strength both work well with LHB. I recommend you keep leveling them. How does skill scale stuff?
I have a Ludwig's Holy Blade @ +8 with Skill @ 20. Should I keep pumping into skill?
My Strength @ 30.

The same way strength does.just look at the scaling letters on your weapons. How does skill scale stuff?

key is in the area you fight the guy with the cage on his head.
Which was primarily taken from action games, which BB is. The only reason it is used that way in an MMO sense is that it is inherently understood that bosses almost never can be one-shot. So the crowd takes the term and stretches its use.I disagree. I've both heard and used "one shot" refer to the first one a lot (especially in MMOs "We just one shot that boss", etc).
When a game truly has real one-shots, using a term for dual usage is silly.Yeah, seriously. Anyone who seriously thinks you mean the other doesn't understand this game.
"One hit".
You just have to hold R2 for the charge attack. Holding R1 isn't necessary.
Edit- also, use your gun! You can fire while an enemy is in mid-swing, and stagger it. Press R1 while you're standing directly in front of it and you'll do a visceral attack, which does a ton of damage.
Which weapons are these? I have the, but that's more towards a Bloodtinge weapon than pure skill.Chikage
Holy blade has scaling in str and skill. Soft cap is 25 and hard 50. You get best damage scaling increase 1-25 and less 26-50. So, yeah, increase skill to 25. Then, either until 50.How does skill scale stuff?

Well you can pump into both up until a certain which is the soft cap and at that point you should pump into whichever one you feel lIke doing. For example I'm gonna pump into strength over skill now since my secondary weapon is the wheel and that eventually scales S with strengthLudwig's scales equally with strength and skill, so it's worth putting points into both for that weapon.
Try to stay behind her all the time and be aggressive. You can stop her laser attack if you hit fast enough while she's building up her power.Fucking Ebrietas man. If it weren't for those stupid ass lasers, she'd be toast. For some reason I can't seem to not get one shotted by at least one of the lasers.

it's not missable... what are you talking about
Down to the last boss and chalice dungeon. I feel bad having to summon someone for FG, the only boss I had to do that on so far.
For the Weapon Master Trophy, I only need the Normal versions of weapons correct?
TeamCoco youtube (Conan O'Brian people) is live streaming Bloodborne, though Conan isn't with them. Might do a Clueless Gamer on it (maybe not).

Realistically it doesn't though haha. You can keep complaining, but people are going to keep using it in these games.Which was primarily taken from action games, which BB is. The only reason it is used that way in an MMO sense is that it is inherently understood that bosses almost never can be one-shot. So the crowd takes the term and stretches its use.
One-shot makes far more sense and is proper to its original use by meaning, one-shot, one kill.
When a game truly has real one-shots, using a term for dual usage is silly.
Highest "Skill" weapons (stats at +10):
Blade of Mercy - S in Skill. B in Arcane, though the Arcane hardly matters. At +10 it only has 60 Arcane ATK and with 50 in Arcane you only get +35 bonus ATK on it.
Threaded Cane - E Strength, A Skill.
Reiterpallasch - E Strength, A Skill, D Bloodtinge. Bloodtinge scaling only affects the "Gun" Attack that it has.
Burial Blade - D in Strength, B in Skill, B in Arcane and is in the same boat as the Blade of Mercy. 60 Arcane and only +35 bonus ATK at 50 in the Arcane stat. Arcane Scaling Sucks.
Rifle Spear - D Strength, B Skill, B Bloodtinge. Like the Reiterpallasch, Bloodtinge only affects the "Gun" Attack that it has.
Ludwig's Holy Blade - B in Strength and B in Skill. It's a both weapon!
Stake Driver - C in Strength, C in Skill. Like the Ludwig's it's a both weapon.
Saw Spear - D in Strength, C in Skill.
And now for the Chikage, which requires a bit more of an explanation.
Chikage - E in Strength, B in Skill. 1H mode only uses these two stats. It also has a S in Bloodtinge which gets added in in 2H mode. On the character screen it only shows the 1H mode Atk.
Now, even though the 1H mode Atk isn't the highest in the game given equal Blood Gems, and 50 in all stats and at +10, Chikage's 1H mode and 2H mode both hit harder for their base swings than any other weapon in the game. 1h mode vs a 1h mode and 2h mode vs a 2h mode of course.
For Example: Using 2x Phys ATK UP +20.3% and 1x Phys ATK UP +19.8% Gems my Chikage +10 has 184 base and +378 Phys Bonus. So it has a ATK rating of 562. It also has Blood Bonus of +432 which gets added in 2H mode for a total of 994.
Now using the exact same Gems on my Ludwig's +10: 200 Base, +617 Bonus for 817 Total. (I have better gems than this, but Ludwig's and Chikage use different types and I wanted to make them identical for this example).
Despite Ludwig's ATK being higher, Chikage's 1H mode hits harder than Ludwig's 1H mode by a bit. And in 2H mode Chikage obviously hits harder with its much higher ATK total.
So, Skill is definitely really important to Chikage's damage.
