Even if that fight was a week ago?

Yes it should be there.

I'm missing at least the final real boss for sure, and just panicked and forgot to save the clips of two when I died at the same time as the boss.

At least I have this nice screenshot :)

So far I'm through 4 chalice dungeons and up to the giant with the balls and chains (and sword and...thing). Waiting until NG+ to even try the first Chalice dungeon was either stupid or genius, I'm not sure. The first few are so easy...but it sure as shit ramps up eventually.

There is at least missing one more (you mentioned the true final boss already). You are missing the clip for the spider boss? And one another... but I know of two other optional bosses in the main story area. So I cannot really tell you which one is missing. :P

edit: I realized I am totally missing Royal Alien Vanguard from my list as well, not that there was much to see from that fight.

Chalice dungeons are always the same difficulty.

Lol at folks saying that Ludwig isn't all that. Yes if you have a build in mind you might be able to eventually do more damage but you have to get so specific. Ludwig is perfect for npcs and balanced builds. in fact I'd argue it's meant for balanced builds in general.

Though I'm now gonna pump points into strength over skill so I can use my wheel more effectively

It's because it isn't.

Especially in a game so reliant on movesets. Would pick kirk every minute of the week over the holy blade.

Also burial blade is amazing too.

How is it not? Its R1 R1 L1 combo is fucking ridiculous for crowds. Its R2 attack is a fucking strong as shit thrust that can be useful as fuck for many enemies. And its l2 attack is a staggering monster. If you like Kirkhammer that's fine but don't pretend that like the weapon is overhyped when it's consistently being used. On pvp you might make an argument that it's too slow in 2 hand form. For quality builds there's no better option.

That works fine but it's incredibly dull to do. The main issue is how BVs seem to drop in abundance at certain spots and not at all elsewhere, so you run dry if you get stuck on a boss, and it's a massive pace killer to stop what you're doing and refocus like that.

I just don't use blood vials if i don't have them, you can just dodge everything anyway.

Just started reading about the
"One Third Umbilical Cords" after finding one in the old workshop.

Have I fucked up getting the other ones? I'd like to get all the Trophies within as few play throughs as possible.

I am currently in
Nightmare Frontier after using the Tonsil Stone. The last boss I killed was the witch in Hemlock and before that Vicar Amelia. I haven't been through the Woods yet (just activated the lamp).

The moveset on the Ludwig is amazing though. Wide swings with long reach for groups. Pierce attack with long reach for massive damage. An overhead swing that hits bosses like Amygdala and Ebrietas in the face whenever you want for fucks sake. The ridiculous stun effect and damage in general. You'll have a really hard time convincing anybody that the Kirkhammer provides more utility.

Ok so i was farming cursed blood droplets for 19.6% physical buff, some of the ones i got are included with decreased weapon durability at about 50 , has anyone tried those , how much of a debuff it is? Will not be able to test it until tonight. But will update afterwards on my findings.

LOL

WHHHHAAAT

Even when she is dead? Guess they didnt think of every possible scenario. Would be a cool change if they had considered all possible consequences

when you complete the game, pay attention to the credits when it gets to Iosefka's voice actor ;)

I say it isn't because I don't like the moveset and think it's too short for its speed, where I think the hammer makes up for it with big splash and stagger.

Good Bloodborne day today, I beat 5 bosses, solo of course:
Celestial Emissary - first try
Martyr Logarius - third try
Amygdala - second try
Micolash - second try
Mergo's Wet Nurse - first try

Now some what I am assuming are end game questions:

Gehrman's waiting for me at some tree. Should I only eat the umbilical cords right before fighting him or does it not matter? Is this my last chance to do sidequests/ Chalice dungeons?
Very end of the game spoilers:

Last time to do sidequests, chalice progress carries into NG+ so not the last time to do that. Look around the Hunter's Dream for a new area to walk to. Once here, have a nice picnic. You know.. enjoy the sights, listen to the soothing sounds, and eat them umbilical cords

For the true ending I just
consume the 3 umbilical cord thirds before talking to the big man
?

If I do that I can't accidentally get one of the other ones right?

Regarding Iosefka

I was kind of hoping there would be some secret way to Save Viola by killing off Iosefka early and sennding NPCs to the empty clinic lol. Obviously this is ridiculous

Everyone will like different movesets. Unlike the Souls games, BB seems to have done a pretty damn good job balancing the weapons that most of them are quite viable no matter your build. Altho any weapon with range has a bit more of an advantage than the ones who don't, imo.

You should be able to get all three that are needed. There is a fourth one that you can miss but since only three are needed you don't have to worry.

Just finished the game at 39 hours without touching the Chalice Dungeons. The game definitely didn't feel too short and there's no real stinker of an area this time around.

Chalice dungeons are always the same difficulty.
That's what I meant, yeah. I started the first available Chalice Dungeon once I was way overpowered for it. By the time I got to some of 'later' ones, the difficulty caught up quickly. I went from killing everything in one hit to, well, the exact opposite - getting killed by trash in a hit or two.

As far as my missing bosses - failed to record - Rom and the two from Upper Cathedral. If I missed any others (aside from the end boss), I'll have to pick them up in NG+ or start fresh.

Guys... I lost 50k souls to the damn
pigs
in the forest last night :( I was just exploring and working my way down and came across the first one. Handled it no problem. Came across the second one and he rammed and trampled me to death. Ran back down as quick as I could and saw my bloodstain in the water. I was being scared and hanging back and the same
pig
walked over my bloodstain and picked it up. Damn! I tried to sneak up on it and he proceeded to kick my ass and kill me. That's the most echoes I've lost so far and it friggin sucked! I could have leveled up several times with that. I was just exploring until I found the boss entrance and then I was gonna warp out. Sigh.

I'm absolutely loving this game ya'll. I've played Demons and Dark (not Dark 2 though) and I place Bloodborne at the tip top and I haven't even passed the forest yet. I could play nothing but the "souls" games from here on out. I'm hoping we keep on getting these games for many, many years to come.

Well the chalice dungeon is the stinker area of this game.

Beat M
icolash
on my first attempt. I had more trouble with literally everything else in N
ightmare of Mensis
holy shit. I eventually just ran through the very beginning of level and past the
spiders
and bottle necked them so I didn't have to deal with the
big one.

What the fuck?! I'm at Y
ahar'gul
and there's about
5 of those crazy mutant spider like things on the left of the road, but I'm not sure if I should look there because two just completely fucked me up. And why can I hear a baby crying?
I just don't want to miss any items.

LOL, first 5 threads:

I've been building my character as a skill build up until now, and I just got Reiterpallasch. Any tips on using it effectively? I'm not sure if I care for it all that much. The pistol form seems useless.

So I'm thinking of going with a quality build for Ludwig's Holy Blade, but until now I've been leveling Vitality, Endurance, and Skill equally. Now that I'll need to level up Strength a ton, do I need to stop leveling one of those other stats?

Just got to
Byrgenwurth.

I am playing this game like im sipping the finest of what gaming has to offer me.
The more I play the more it keeps knocking other games off my pedestal.

What a joy this game is.

Nope those are great starting stats just start including Strength more.

I'm in the same boat, but from a str point of view. I'm wondering if I need to shove a bunch of points into skill now

I agree 100% man! I have been taking my sweet time with it so far. I'm only just now in the forest and I have loved every step of the way. Sipping it like fine wine indeed!

Why do my dropped Souls disappear when I exit the game? I died to a boss and quit out twice now and when I came back my Souls were gone. I lost like 30k combined.

Just invaded and killed someone in N
ightmare
of M
ensis
using Messinger's Gift to follow them through the whole of the level, holy shit that was exhilarating!

Chalice dungeons are always the same difficulty.

Is there any advantages for saving Chalice Dungeons for NG+? I know it doesn't scale, but I have heard you have to farm for mats. Would that be easier to to in NG, since you have all the lamps unlocked? Or do the mats you need to unlock the other dungeons in the previous Chalice Dungeons you run?

I am at the final boss and I don't know if I should go ahead and beat it, go into NG+ and start Chalice Dungeons whenever, OR just do the Chalice Dungeons then beat the game.

One thing I'm still bewildered about is parrying bosses. And I'm on new game plus. I lose my cool with bosses and just start hacking away. Are most bosses parryable? Even if I've bately upgraded my pistol?

Effective strategy?

you can at least stagger all bosses with heavy hits to their heads, as far as I know.

doesn't matter if you find them all in this playthrough.
you have to beat the game more than once for all trophies.

and you will have to go to the woods later.
you need to go there, in order tu finish the game.

well, if you don't go someplace, of course, you will miss stuff.

Is really specializing in a stat a bad idea? I read this article on a build suggestion when i was looking for good skill builds online.

I used it with professional as my starting class, and am now something like level 55 with (approximately):

20 Vit
18 End
13 Str
40 Skill
10 Bloodtinge
8 Arcane

I think I need to take a break from leveling skill and really go in hard on vitality and endurance.

Im sure this has probably already happened to someone but my friend was killed my an enemy and was consequently
warped to a prison in the unseen village area which apparently is quite late into the game?!
He has killed the CB, FG, and BSB. So he has his eye on VA. I need to try this out when I get back from work to see if there are any nice items I can find whilst I end up there.

Yharnam
is down! (Chalice secret boss)
Really cool boss fight. It's much better compared to Nashandra.

Only one more ending for the plat, so in a few hours probably.

I think you should at least reach 30 with Vit, that is its soft cap and the most important stat. Also try to allocate more points to End, until it reaches 25 or 30 aswell.

Upgrade your favorite weapon for increased damage!
You already have too many points in skill, so I would recommend to upgrade a skill based weapon! But now you may focus on Vit and End.

Wait until you lose 100k, and you say to yourself 'no biggie, I'll just run torwards the spot and pick them up', only to be cornered by 2 dogs who kill you instantly for this first time in nearly a week.

I want to start a new character, is Eil
een hard to kill ? I think I will kill her when we fight henryk to get both armor sets.

Not sure if she is hard, but heard she is. I would recommend complete her quest though... But thats debatable since some people relate some bugs.

I've been upgrading my weapons a lot. :) I've kind of already decided the blades of mercy will be my main once I get them as I typically love dual-wielding in games. Right now I'm rocking the Holy Blade and the Reiterpallasch. I think the Reiterpallasch is better as a skill weapon, but I'm not totally sure if I like it's moveset or not. I don't see anything beneficial about turning it into a pistol when I carry around a shotgun at all times.
