Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

So, unless someone can show me a quote from the developers saying there is no world tendency, the game freaking has one.

My friend and I played last night and found the game much harder than it had been on Sunday. Anyone else find the game harder yesterday?
Maybe your insight had increased? Cant think of any other explanation, though there is a bug which causes some bosses to stop using certain attacks and even ignore some phases

Ugh one more attempt, if I die to slowdown again I'm just gonna finish off the game and go start Dark Souls 2 since I picked it up last night. This really really needs to be fixed

Congrats!
I have one trophy left (Yharnam) and I don't want to finish it yet. I have 48 platinums and want BB to be my #50. Yeah, I'm weird. :D

48 plats is insane.

So which one will be #49 if you're currently playing Bloodborne? You gonna switch to another game and platinum it, then go back to Bloodborne? Just curious

Oh,...uh...on topic.....The hunter-style fights are probably my favorite fights in the game. So far, more so than most bosses I've fought.

Of the 6 I've fought, the one at the end of Eileen's quest and the one where you fight 3 at once, those were best

Could have fooled me. Co-Op in this game is the absolute worst shit in any game.

Ring a ball WITH a pass code of someone standing next to you and wait 15+ minutes? Yeah no. Plus in a chalice dungeon they have to be on the same floor as you already, so if you want help on your dungeons they need to be caught up to your floor which is generally floor 3 you want it for.

I agree the co-op design is clunky... but to be fair, I've been playing a lot of co-op and you don't have to be standing next to the person, and it's never taken me more than a minute to find my friend with the same passcode.

I just had the
Hunter fight at the end of Eileen's storyline
literally NO HP left in the bar and then he killed me.

Like he was stuck doing his attack animation he had started even though I had killed him and that killed me.

-_-

He was a pain in the ass. He's really easy to parry, and most of the fight I didn't have much trouble with him. But after
he's enraged, the move he does where he jumps in the air and throws his scythe kept one-shot killing me. Such fucking bullshit when he does that after I had only 2-3 hits left to finish him. I really wish FromSoftware would stop giving bosses moves that instant kill and are near impossible to dodge. I beat him the one time I got lucky and he didn't do that move. Actually, I think he kind of bugged out the last 5% of his health for me, because I remember just circling him and relentlessly hitting him to death while he kind of just stood there.
I'm starting to believe that those who killed him with no problems on the 1st try or 2nd, were lucky or something (maybe that memory bug thing). This boss is the extreme of what I consider a unfair difficulty.

Like you said, after he enrages is where lies the problem... there it becomes almost impossible to parry, and his attacks just gains way more area of effect and do much more damage, allowing him to easily one-hit-kill at any chance. That's just ridiculous...

Parry, you must parry! Took me several attempts to get the timing down.

Also, please edit spoilers my friend.

Sorry, edited... I've not noticed before.

I may have been a little over leveled for it, I had around 1500 hp lvl 90 or so. I was able to pull off a few of the R2 Axe charges as well and made a concious effort to keep my stamina bar up so I could dodge a bunch of times in a row when he started teleporting.

Yeah, I actually can do pretty well until he reaches half HP. Then he becomes impossible to me... =/

NG+, as you said. I don't consider bonfire warping a plus, but the bonfire system in general is leagues better than the lanterns - they should just refresh your supplies and respawn enemies. More build variety, but that goes without saying. They handled estus better than any game in the series, even though they knocked it off balance with life gems.

Estus in DS2 was better than the blood vials for sure unless you werent dying to bosses that much in bloodborne. It was extra punishing to have to farm or spend blood echoes on blood vials if you died a bunch of times on a boss.

Bonfire/latern warping is needed for Bloodborne since the load times are too long.

Yes and yes.
2 bosses

OMG guys, when will I become a full member? :'( Juniors have no rights!

300 posts I believe?

2 actually. Although one technically isn't in
"upper" cathedral ward
, but its only accessible from there.

yes and yes

It's an optional area with two bosses. One fairly easy and one not so easy. Beating them gets you two trophies.

Thanks for the prompt replies guys :D I just feel I need to get all these optional areas done, I am a completionist :p

Lucky you. I have not had this experience. I have tried with 3 separate buddies, and it always takes forever to get me with one of them, or them with another.

It's called "invite a friend" feature. In the year 2015 this is a standard if you are doing co-op.

The second a buddy joins then spawn the bell ringing woman to have invaders join in. Simple as that. I get Souls games have obtuse features all over, but this is just simple game design 101. :/

Me and my bro had tons of trouble connecting. I never really cooped in other Souls games so I pretty much just gave up. Woulda been nice to help my brother out when he was learning the game, but he's picked it up well now so it's not really needed.

I would recommend farming some blood echoes and level up your vitality to get your hp up or put one of the hp increase runes on. I dont think he should be able to one shot you full health to dead.

Man the elevator glitch is disappointing. I can't access Ebrieas and I don't want to complete the game until I defeated all bosses.

I never encountered that problem. I guess I'm fortunate to always be in the habit of sending elevators back up/down in anticipation of dying to a boss so I don't have to wait on the elevators on my way back.

Fuck the bell maiden in N
ightmare
F
rontier
. I'm getting invaded left and right AND there are hunters to deal with.
Beautiful place, though. I really wanna explore it a bit more before going to Cainhurst, all before facing Rom.

I sent the
dude on top of that mill structure
in F
orbidden
W
oods
to the Chapel;
that got my nun killed =[ I thought I'd have some time later to deal with him before he went berserk. It was a very cool fight though.

How high is your insight?
I fought him with 39 insight and then i lowered my insight to under 15 just to see if there would be a difference and i beat him without a problem.. could have been luck though

What happened? The elevator won't go down or there isn't one at all?
It's stuck at the bottom. When I pull the lever, it says "device not currently operable" and my character pulls it but it doesn't come up.

The worse part is that I went down, had a ton of blood echoes and went back up. I used the hunter mask to return to the lamp to spend echoed. When I returned, the elevator was at the bottom.

Maybe I try that... but honestly, at this point I think I'll just wait until I find a co-op partner.

I fought him with 29 insights, but then realized it and bought a bunch of things with the messengers. Died against him many times with only 1 insight .

Defiled chalice is awful. The enemies even fistbump after mauling me :(

LOL this isn't real right? I mean if they did this... oh god so hilarious.

I wish there was more PvP...it is disappointing that the only spots are where people co-op and where there are bell maidens already (or someone else trying to invade). Like the random nature of invasions while leveling. I know I'm probably in the minority there, but I like the added tension.

Oh, this sounds bad. Can you survive the fall?

I beat his ass at lvl60.

Phase 1: Parry and evis since his attacks are slow and easy tell.
Phase 2: Dodge toward him, which puts you behind him, and then, get 1-3 hits in. Repeat.
Phase 3: Go range. Bone marrow + gun and bottle. That should finish home off. If you run out, use a weapon with long run charge R2. He is aggressive so will run into hit. Personally, I use the holy blade.

Just got kicked off psn again while doing (surprisingly well-working) coop.
Seemed to be the same problem I had last week or so with them not being able to verify my licenses. >.>

I almost became a member just from posting in the DS2 OTs alone I think. xD
Just be patient, man.
