Any tips for the defiled
amygdala
? This guys kicking my ass but the
watchdog
wasn't too much trouble :s

I expected this to be easier after all the trouble
watchdog
gave people and the relative ease I beat him with.

I'm still fucking stuck on this at level 145. Bitch has like five one shot kill entire arena range attacks and it's super cheap.

Cool OK, thanks guys. Will Arianna then give me the
3rd umbilical cord?

Yeah but you can get 4 in total and 3 is enough. I still have a spare one.

You just have to kill Iosefka in her room post-Rom. for the third one. The other 2 are not missable unless you finish the boss fight before going to the hidden workshop.

Quick question about Odeon Chapel and NPCs...

I missed sending Arianna to the chapel before killing Rom. Did I screw myself out of the good ending or can I still get the umbilical somehow?

Thanks in advance

See above,
hope you didn't kill Iosefka before Rom.

OK thanks. I found one in
Hunters Dream alternate place. Is the other from a mandatory boss?

Thanks for the quick responses. I sometimes blow through areas instead of taking my time and exploring. I need to break that habit.

Ya gotta love it when you're just casually making your way through a depth 5 chalice and than the games like "nah son Abhorront Beast".

Spoiler question:

So I killed Iosefka before reaching Rom, and that asshole beggar guy killed Arianna and all the other people at the church before I realized what was going on. so I wasn't able to get umbilical cords from them. That means I'm locked out of the secret ending right? Because if so that's fucking bullshit.

Yes :(

I got the Tonsil stone from the guy that gives you the flamethrower.

You get it from any window/door once you reach a certain part in the game

Yeah... you will have to try in NG+....

I know right? It's a horrible boss with this hp. I've had some lucky runs where I got her to the final third where she increases her range and I'm stuck there. I can't avoid her effectively and she keeps pouncing on me too. Plus the window to attack seems massively decreased at that point. You've got a 40 level lead on me too, was kinda hoping it would be trivial at a higher level but the defiled chalice strips you of all that power you earned. Guessing I won't be grinding my way out of this.

It seems A
mygdala
only takes real damage to her head? Because I've been hacking away at her leg with the axe, on fire, to make only 12 damage. It took 10 minutes and 5 fire papers. to bring her health to 30%.
I wanted to kill her before R
OM
, but I might postpone it.

The arms can be damaged too and the belly. Actually her legs are the only thing with boosted defense. Hitting the head will gain you chances for visceral attacks though.

This has to be the most harsh NG+ mode in a souls game. Feels just like starting a new character except you really don't have any room to grow stats-wise. Cleric Beast took me over four minutes with my 633DMG Ludwig's Holy Sword.

Might just start another character before I continue with NG+ though I'm blanking on which weapons to go for. Anyone got some good Arcane/Bloodtinge build ideas?

You can also attack the arms, legs are too tough and not worth hitting.

So question about Old Yarnham...

Is it better to explore OY before taking out the Gatling gun prick? The only successful way I have seen of getting rid of him is to cheese him off and I usually get screwed before I can do that. Should I just ignore him as best as possible?

Struggling with her at the moment,me and jolly co-opers keep dying!

I had it the other way around. The WD was the hardest boss in the game for me but I had no problem beating her.

Just keep a big distance from her and circle round the room. She kept swiping but very rarely hit me cause she couldn't reach and she only jumped towards me once throughout the fight. When she slams her hands on the ground attack her a couple of times then run back to a safe distance, rinse and repeat. Don't always run in to attack though, judge the distance you are away from her. Sometimes I ran towards her and realised I wasn't gonna make it in time so I just stepped back again; play it safe and you'll be fine. Most of the time though she slams down with her arms stretched out so you can make the run and get a couple of hits in.

When the fight enters its second phase you can cheese her for an easy victory. If you get behind her and stay there she'll just continually jump forward. The only way she can hit you is if she stamps her feet but it shouldn't one shot you. It takes a little longer cause she takes less damage on her feet and tail but it's a safe option.

If you kill NPCs before the very end of the game, you are obviously locking yourself out of possible content of all sorts. Why is that BS? I didn't look anything up and I still got the true ending even though I missed
one of the two NPCs involved
almost completely.

Any point using the scaling blood gems. I whacked a skill gem in my cane to bring it scaling to A as it +6.

Also fuck upper cathedral ward think I shat myself 3 times during that part

Ok I have cooled off and gave the game a rest after yesterdays outburst. I am ok now >_>

oh on a side note....DO NOT play dark souls II after Bloodborne. Holy crap is it dated as hell in comparison.

Damn looks like I'll def have to play the story more than once to unlock the platinum trophy. I had no idea that 2 of the 4
umbilical cords
were able to be missed.

Graphically, yeah. Still fun though.

Iosekfa was hostile to me, I didn't kill her for the fun of it. I didn't kill the others, the beggar killed them, I didn't know it was him until it was too late.

Just wait until ng, it's really not worth starting over.

My OCD commands me to. It won't be so bad, I know a decent chunk of the game now and what to do.
