I cant beat blood starved beast. Im tired of having to farm for fucking bullets and vials.

Seriously, im about to the point where im just gonna look up a guide. As it stands right now, im starting to hate this game. Its fucking lame as fuck that he can just jump across the level and attach to you and one shot you after you fight so carefully to widdle him down to nearly no health.

There are no fucking weapons that ive found that are worth a fuck.

All i can do right now is beat my head against a wall with this boss until i beat it or give up.

Everytime i sit down to play, i just think "great, i have to go farm souls to get money to buy bullets because ive used them all on one boss encounter". That thought process makes me not even want to play.

I dont get it. Im obviously doing something wrong. You can probably cheese this boss. But as someone who refuses to look at guides, im getting to the point where im about to just say fuck it and watch a YT video.

These past 2 weeks its been sucking the fun out of the game for me. I bought a ps4 to play this game and its not even fun anymore. I dont want to go grind for fucking bullets. I want a fair fucking fight.
Blood Starve beast
is incredibly easy once you realize his move set. For the most part, dodge left. When you see him raise right arm, prepare to dodge left so that he goes past you and run to him to get hits. Just stay patient and watch his movements.

Total newb here with some questions if someone doesn't mind. I posted this in the thread for newcomers but this may be a better place to ask.

I have beaten the witches and VA easily enough, had a go at the forest but it seems really hard (I'm level 38 I think). I have 31 insight, should I spend some to make things easier on myself?

I got the Item to open the door to the right of the cathedral, is it worth going back. Also is there a way to open the door at the top of Odeon Cathedral?

Can I get through the game without doing chalice dungeons and/or multiplayer?

Also I don't suppose anyone can point me towards a non-spoilery guide to the lore? I know the series is known for it's minimalist plots, but I haven't a clue what's going on.

But see, I do litterally no damage, so ive been using my gun to stun then front stab. That does decent damage. But then, its like his moveset changes to do what ever he wants. That grab attack gets me every single time when he has maybe 1-2 front stabs left.

Im out of bullets, and I dont want to grind for more.

I wish there were weapons that actually did damage and that I could upgrade past 3.

It's a peculiar-looking headstone in the area with the executioners outside of the Witch boss area. Don't be like me and look for an area called "Hemwick Crossroads" for hours...

Hahaha
I was thinking it was an area at first, but then realized I had explored this area for hours, and there'd be no way it was a new interconnected area.

Thank you! I'll look for it now!

EDIT: LOL that was quick, found it! This cut scene is beautiful <3

What determines her Agro-Ness?

I dont know why it happens that way. I
just know I went there before Rom and fought her on 2nd playthrough. On 1st playthough I did not discover the clinic until after I beat Rom and she was crying on the table. killing her on the table got me a cord, killing her as an NPC battle got me a rune

Parry, bsb tends to raise and pull back its right arm to swipe at you, it's easy to spot and time, stagger it with a parry and run right in for a visceral attack, do it like 5 times and it's dead meat.

Use your index finger for parry, your timing will be better because middle finger reflexes generally would be slower.

The undo of Rom's veil spell seems to indicate she's actually pregnant.

If you're doing pitiful damage, level up skill or strength (what's your weapon?) to hit harder. But like I said, keep dodging left while in front of him. His dash attack is well choreographed.

This. Have antidotes equipped and ready too. He's really easy to dodge. I beat his harder Chalice version first try. I didn't even need to heal until halfway through the battle. Maybe try practicing dodging and learning his moveset next time instead of trying to beat him. You'll get more comfortable with him.

Almost killed
The one reborn
first try , now I can't repeat the 'almost'

I had a similar problem. Take care of
the snipers on both sides of the upper level and then don't attack the boss head on, attack from the sides
.

Fire/Bolt also help if you can manage it.

I actually recommend doing coop for the boss so you can keep practice fighting him. It's what I did and I can rek BBS in a minute. His chalice dungeon version was trivialized by then.

I really think this is an extraordinarily bad way of fighting BSB if you're already having a hard time with him.

In my opinion the safest way is to simply to try and stay close on his sides at all times and whale away on him, ideally with a fire buff on your weapon. Stay at most at mid-range to him, and avoid facing him head on at all costs as although it allows you to parry his swipe it also opens you up to his strongest attacks (grab, and dashing swipe).

If you need to heal roll away and hide behind a pillar, then go back to smacking his sides. He will fall, easily if you do this.

Any of the starting weapons should be doing decent enough damage if you've upgraded them as much as you can with regular shards. If that's still not enough you could use fire paper, or oil+molotovs to speed up the end of the fight. Or you could explore other parts of the game, level up a bit and come back later, to raise your damage some more.

is OPTIONAL? WTF, this entrance alone is worth making it required!

A huge amount of this game is optional, even before getting into the Chalice stuff.

I would almost complain that the game seems to corral you into optional areas at times, while the actual progression areas can be surprisingly obtuse. I think the castle is actually the only time I found an optional area and actually felt like it was optional; almost every other time I thought areas were optional that weren't, and vice-versa.

Does anyone use other outfit that yarhnman? I have 3 more but they seem to lost at almost every item and they dont look so cool to me as the original, im i the the only one?;D:

I'm just making my way through Y
ahar'gul and I've just encountered The One Reborn, fair to say I booked it with my 40k souls and will prepare to fight him now. I know that Darkbeast Paarl is supposed to be in this area as I was following Lobos through his play through and he encountered him soon after he was kidnapped.

Where is he? Will telling me spoil the game in some way?

Killed the three hunters in
Unseen Village
by dividing them and luring near the lamp.

I dunno if it is even possible to take on all of them at the same time with legit fight.

what i did was walk slowly to the guy in the center with the claw and.. no shirt?
backstab with ludwig and visceral attack, i tried to continue fighting him there without alerting the other two
but they all came at me eventually but claw guy died before the other two killed me.

then i came back and figured out where the other two stood. (tonitrus guy is on the stairs facing up, so you can circle around to get behind,
other guy is standing by the front door so i circled around from outside and snuck in through the front door) I snuck up on each one and backstab/visceral.
made fighting them relatively easy when i could take out half their health before they even take a swing.

The second layer defiled chalice boss is wrecking me. Anyone have any tips?

stand back out of range and hit him in the nose with a long reach weapon. Each time you hit him roll 2-3 times left to avoid his counters. Patience wins this fight. I also start unload cannon balls with blood bullets and bone marrow at 20% or so.

Explore the gaol thoroughly.

So in the Cathedral later on
crow lady is injured outside. Inside is samurai guy. He's too powerful right now frankly. Can I come back to him later on?... I still need to explore Unseen Village. Or will it bypass the scene and mess up that story arch?

I thought he was easier. Killed him on my 4th try or so compared to me 30th or so for the normal one. Helped that I knew how to avoid his spells for the most part after defeating him prior.

He's much easier to deal with in an endless void, since he's always backing away from you and the little shits leash within a certain distance from him, so there's a sweet spot you can find between him and the mobs that lets you deal with them and make him pop his rising projectiles that have the sweet warning of where they'll come from.

But all that is just a strategy tweak, the bump to health and damage output of his minions combined with managing your position relative to him, the little shits and the walls of the arena make it way less forgiving as far as execution goes.

Well i was lucky with them.

I got to the first one R2 charge attack with Ludwig and then Visceral Attack. He died with a few hits then. The other two i used the Axe just running around the stairs and trying to hit them with the r2 attack of the Axe

I second this strategy, Worked for me. Fire buff on +3 cane made him pretty easy and I only got 2 visceral attacks off on him. Also anytime I got below half health I ran away and healed/antidote. Good luck!

It totally is. Ludwig's blade + beast pellets + fire/bolt paper = hunters getting wrecked.

I tried that, but couldn't kill the shorty before his buddies showed up and wrecked me. So I just decided to take the safe route. I was even prepared to take them out on the other side of lamp and burn them
in that laser fire

I just saw the sixth video of ENBs playthrough:

How on earth should it be possible to find the lost hubworld without YouTube?

I saw a door as I was falling down and was like "oh make a note to come back to that door"

I hate that guy. He kept spamming his gun whenever I had him down to 10% health or less and would kill me after 2 hits or would parry me. I accidentally came across an exploit to cheese him when I ran off to recoup and heal. If you want to know:
Lure him out the door, then block him from getting back in. His AI will keep trying to go inside and he won't attack, allowing you to just beat him to death.
