Got the plat. Just in case anyone didn't know, you can fulfill the hunter's essence trophy by finding the weapons you need in the chalice dungeons. They still count even if they're uncanny or lost versions. Got my Logarius Wheel in a Sinister Chalice because I must have accidentally killed Alfred in my first playthrough.

Then you can go for KirkHammer, which is a strength weapon that, in it's regular form is fast, in this case, go for strength, or Ludwig's Holy Blade, in this case, it's a quality big sword that works in a similar way to the hammer, maxed out, it'll scale equaly with strength and skill, so go for both.

Both are awesome weapons! Now, if you want speed, I'd go with blade of mercy, it has great scaling with skill and it is super fast, so invest in skill and endurance for huge combos :)

Whatever weapon you go with, remember to invest mostly in the stat the weapon scales the best with. For the other stats, just make sure you have the minimum required to wield your weapon of choice and you're golden

So should i buy the kirkhammer or wait until i can blade of mercy?

Whilst it's a shame there's no chameleon spell (I had a lot of fun with that in DS)
the messenger disguise is pretty hilarious. Has a pretty finite use for tricking people as you appear as a messenger which is close up and it seems only a few are fooled by it. I've scared the shit out of a few people and I'm enjoying it.

Both are fun, but Kirkhamer is easier to handle. The two handed R2 and jump attack will stun pretty much every regular enemy and even bosses. I went with it and, man, it rocks. I later turned that character into a quality build character, now I'm working on a strength dude with Kirkhammer and Cannon.

EDIT: The Kirkhammer looks SUPER BADASS as well.

What happened to there not being any
magic
in this game?

How do you even get that...is it something only for people who level
arcane
a lot
There is magic, but it's rarer and is done through certain items instead of through spells (though these items still have an Arcane requirement). You'll find those items over the course of the game.

Oh it's not called magic, but that's what it is. Each "spell" is an item that you use and consumes bullets
Sounds awesome, I can't wait.

With that said, I just leveled up twice and got my arcane to 15...which means I finally can use the O

Just tried it for the first time and WOW....it seems like a game changer. People later in the game that have had it, is it? Definitely makes a good first impression

EDIT: Just tried it outside the dream and realized it has a long-ass cooldown...damn =\

EDIT 2: Ohhhh it's not a cooldown it's bullets! Makes sense

So if you run up the stairs leading to the vicar boss and bang a right I run into
2 hunters with (one with a lightning mace). I'm lvl 28. They are scary, wat do gaf?

What's the effect of this one? I have every Arcane item but idk if I want to level my arcane anymore to use them.

How soon is that available?

It's at Cainhurst.
You don't need to kill the boss and honestly the inside minions are really easy, you can just take it slow so you can do it as soon as you open up forbidden wood, just gotta go get the summons from Iosefka's.

You want to cast it from a bit of a distance as if the skulls overshoot the target they usually won't hit him so if they're too close you'll only get one skull hitting them.

Is there anything in Forbidden Woods in NG+ that I should be looking for, or can I just run straight through to the boss at the end? I really don't want to have to traverse this area again if I don't have to.

Soooooooo I'm level 58 and the unseen village is giving me my first problem in this game. Am I too under leveled?

I Platinum'd Bloodborne and decided to take a break and come back to NG+ later after playing some other games so of course here I am playing fucking Bloodborne again.

Am I the only one who's not interested in doing the chalice dungeons?

I may try it for the hell of it but I'm having far too much fun with the main game and the chalice dungeons may be a bit out of my skill level.

For the plat all I need is Chalice boss, third ending, all weapons and tools and a rare blood gem. I think I fucked up the tools because I sold the hunter bone on my first playthrough by mistake.

Yeah I haven't done one yet, ill come back to them when I am done with the main game.

You can lure them out one at a time. The first one isn't too bad. The second one likes to go nuts with the blunderbuss. Use the well to block shots, run up, slash once, hide behind well again.

i would actually recommend doing them here and there throughout a first playthrough. they are pretty repetitive, and fairly boring if you are over-leveled for them

I planned on ignoring the chalice dungeons for the most part but wanted to get the Platinum trophy.

It's a huge time sink for very little reward. Some of the boss fights are cool, but the good ones are buried deep (the best BB boss is at the end). The content is repetitive, but it's hard to blame them as it is all additional content to the main game.

Wow, I thought "Kin" were hunters/villagers. Basically anything human since they are your kin in the species sense.

Not the witches. It's the 3 hunters. I even beckon help and the help gets destroyed

You can do it solo no prob.

Here is what you do:
-Walk up to the one facing away from you. Heavy attack him from behind letting you stagger him and Visceral him. Get a couple more hits in as he gets back up then run back the way you came until you are fighting each of them one on one.

If your good at Visceral they each have a slow attack that telegraphs their moves. If not just stun them with the gun get a couple hits in and jump out.

I only ever died when I was too greedy.

NG+ with max insight is so much fun. Loving how much more aggressive regular mobs are. Enemies that would stand and wait until you got close now attack in force. Oddly enough, though, the bosses haven't seemed much harder at all. 6-0 so far. Epic Grudge match with The Spida is next.

What do I do against the
3 hunters, any strats

Wait upstairs for the first one and kill him, you'll be bale to take a big chunk of his life before the other two appear. After that, if the other two kill you, once you repawn, walk down the stairs, the beast dude will have his back facing the stairs, so you can use a visceral attack on him, then just focus on killing him and, for the last one, t=since the other two won't respawn, just go crazy

No worries, I think you just need to have this item at least once in your inventory.

Man, the
Blood-starved Beast
is just absolutely impossible to me. I don't think I've had this much trouble with a fight since Artorias in Dark Souls. I've been stuck here for three nights in a row now and I've not made an inch of progress. The first two-thirds of his health are easy as hell, just no problem at all, but when he gets in to that final part, I just have zero chance to even hit him once. I've used the summon outside the gate, but he's no help. I don't have PS+ and I'm not gonna get it (waste of money imo), so summoning is out of the question. The constant grinding for blood vials don't really help making this a fun fight for me. I miss Estus Flasks, at least they had the decency to refill after you died.

Oh well, I'm giving up for now, gonna waste another night tomorrow...
