Oh man, the bosses in NG+ are kicking my ass. Only managed to do Gascoigne first try. Even got killed by The
Witch of Hemwick! Twice!
I'm dreading the later bosses.

On another note; tried pvp ladt night and won both duels. Much fun.

I am really stuck on Ebreitas, I can get her to about half health but by that point I have used up all my blood vials.

I can't avoid the charge attack consistently enough and staying in close I still get hit fair bit.

I have tried summoning people but there is no one around that area at all I have waited for up to 30 minutes with my bell rung and nothing happens.

Anyone else not able to summon there? am I just pish?

Unfortunately coop is pretty hit or miss when it comes to finding someone.

Ebreitas just really sucks. I beat her by sticking to her ass and mashing R1 but it took me about 10 tries before I got lucky and killed her.

So I did some farming experimenting with the Y
etis
at the N
ightmare of Mensis
, due to the wiki listing them as having the Blood Stone Chunks as drops.

I used the runes that I usually use for farming, having had decent results from other mobs. I killed enough of them to score a total of 1.5M echoes in NG+ and didn't see a single chunk. What they dropped were Twin Blood Stone shards, sometimes only one, sometimes three at once and twice I got a Lead Elixir for my troubles. I'm pretty sure that particular wiki entry is tales from the ass.

No idea about the ones back in N
ightmare Frontier
though, but farming them doesn't seem a good option anyway, considering the alternatives.

People need to stop pretending this is dark souls and start to heal in PvP matches. I feel like an asshole when I heal, but it's a huge mechanic in the game,

Just stay close and to the side. Hit the head whenever possible. Learn the animations before each move. It's really easy to get that boss to half or lower so it's really only half the fight you have to be on your game. Don't go for too many strikes at once or else you'll be stuck mid animation when it does a move.

Aye I guess I'll keep trying that technique, with the boss being sort of hidden I figured that co-op would be a no go but other people seem to suggest they managed to find cooperators fine!

Stick around her, attack her back. NEVER LEAVE HER. Use bolt paper and beast blood pellets
(if you do tranformation attacks, your damage raises up to ~60%, you also get more damage though.)

People need to stop adhering to some honor system that six dudes on the internet came up with. Play how you want to,

Aye I think I have a rune on my blade that stops me applying bolt paper so I need to remove that as the paper actually adds much more damage, I'll fire in for some more wipes tonight after I farm some blood vials again...

Any tips on Defiled Chalice version of Watchdog? I can get his health down to half almost constantly but after that I just manage to screw up everything.

Lol killed them right after i ce here to bitch.so what i've learned from this fight is that you have to be aggressive as hell.no fleeing to heal.

urgh, i hate the
cosmos daughter.
literalyl had them down to like 1hp and they do the charge and AOE attack at the same time.

Loaded up char in ng+ and thought I'd try out co op on cleric beast. Hadn't beat him myself (tried once, realised it had about 6 million hit points and at lvl 70 I was a tad underleveled no doubt). So I thought I would try helping someone and see if I could get online to actually work. And I got summoned. Two of us took down cleric beast and dn it was fun. So I then did the same and summoned someone to help me. Lots of fun again.

Made my was to father g and ready to do the same for that next time I play.

Think I'm gonna just do co op on all bosses for NG+. Its a lot easier but also a lot more fun. Reminds me of playing soul sacrifice on my vita online a couple years back.

I'm about to face the final boss BUT

Is there any way to get two more umbilical chords this late in the game?

Seeing these Rom videos where his homing attack doesn't home in on you makes me rage so bad. Especially when the video is titled. "Beat Rom on first try!" Lol so salty.

Camera locking is so fucking annoying in this fight. Trying to kill a specific spider and the camera is almost like an overhead shot so you can barely see anything around you. Needless to say I'm getting owned by his second form.

A general tip for all bosses: stay close and never be more far away than mid range.

^what he said.

anything more than mid-range and he'll charge, which is pretty much insta-death.

Time his attacks, study his patterns. After each attack there is a small window in which you can follow with your attack. I wouldn't go for more than one strike at a time.. As you begin to wear down his health, he starts to do a forward lunge attack with his head, avoid that, but stay within range. As his head begins to retract, hit him with an R2 attack (quick tap, not charge) this does a ton of damage..He also does an ultra slow AOE move where he spits lava from his mouth, take this as your opportunity to unload your charged R2 attack, but don't linger because he usually follows up with another AOE if you stay to close. It's a test of patience, it won't be a quick fight (depending on your level). High fire res helps, blood pellet helps.. DON'T use poison knives, you'll anger him and he'll charge more often.. good luck, it took me more than 25 tires before I locked down a solid plan.

Well, I would say play how you want, but I would like to invaders not being able to heal. It just make the combats drag on for too long, and also force me to farm vials because I waste too much of them, although the latter is going to end soon now that I level capped myself, so I can start using echoes for buying stuff.

Not gonna complain if invaders heal though, I'll just adapt.

At that point it'll add a new faster bite to its repertoire. You'll need to learn to recognise it and dodge sooner than you were for the bite where it really cocks back its head. To make it a bit easier have your vitality at 50 which will allow you to survive a charge and the chain fire bite.

The fight is all about having your dodge timing on point.

Just stay close and circle around him to the left the whole time and get a whack or two in his back legs each time.

I don't think too many people put themselves up for summoning much for her. Or at least I think there are many more people beckoning as I put myself up for summoning and it was pretty instantaneous. I was stuck on her for a bit and would rarely if ever find someone to summon - and then one of us would die anyway. Ended up just having a go on my own and did it. I actually found myself sticking in front of her more than trying to go behind and hitting her face whenever I had the opportunity. Best not to stay too close as it's hard to see when the homing missiles come down.

At the layer 3 boss of the great Isz Chalice if anyone wants to join. Can get her to 20% but then I always get owned.

Two are story based? I checked my inventory and I seem to have one only.

I don't even remeber who Iosefka is -_- dammit

You get one by defeating Margo's Wet Nurse, and the other one by discovering the Abandoned Workshop (not really story based, but at least not missable). Iosefka is the woman in the clinic, and Arianna can be found in the Cathedral Ward. Both of them can drop a 3rd/4th piece but only if you didn't mess up. If you both killed Iosefka and failed to send Arianna to the chapel before defeating Rom, you're out of luck. Do you need more help?

Did you grab the one off of the
Isofeka Clinic chick?
I believe there are a total of
4 you can get by the end, but only need 3.

I could have finished the game with my skill buid 2 days ago but thanks to
suspicious beggar and Iosefka being encountered too early
I won't get the true ending, seriously fuck that guy.
Well, having another Greatsword build at hand waiting to slay VA guess I'll simply switch over to that one and try to rush through the main areas, talking about replay value...

Yeah I noticed the new moves and they are usually reason for my deaths. Ehh 50 really? No way I am gonna grind for 15 levels more. Any good runes for the fight?

Just stay close and circle around him to the left the whole time and get a whack or two in his back legs each time.

I usually circle strafe to right. I will try this.

I love when players try to heal online after getting comboed by my Blades of Mercy, they do it after getting hit a lot and that means I get a free Visceral Attack and a kill when they get stunned.

When that doesn't work I just use Numbing Mist so they'll stop spamming heal. :>

Eh, I dunno. Healing sucks because it's so hard to punish, especially if your using a 2 handed weapon. And if both of you are committed to using healing it can lead to extremely long matches.

Also I don't think it's that different from in dark souls

I got this happen to me in a Great Isz Chalice Dungeon:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=v9isfR0bJNQ (don't worry no real spoilers if only just for a trap type)

I got sent back to the hunter's dream upon death instead of the last lamp I activated.
I also lost all blood echoes (but I don't care, I get so much in there that it's just peanuts).
Then upon going to that same spot, the game crashed to the XMB D:

You're just projecting your experience on the entire game, my rapid poison BoM has had people running away in PvP because they came unprepared (I got this idea from Peeve so I can't take credit for that). & yes it sometimes outperforms physical gems in the right circumstances if you're using higher level poison gems, the elemental gems also do great damage against enemies with a weakness to fire or bolt.

Funny, ENB is doing a playthrough right now & the rifle spear & Saw Spear are two of his favorite weapons, plenty of people have used the Stake driver in this very thread although I haven't used it personally, the Reiterpallasch is a great weapon (have you even used it?), & can't believe someone said the Tonirus is a bad weapon? Are you serious?

I'm sorry, but it looks like you haven't played much of the game at all, you just played a skill cane build & called it a day.

I have used Stake Driver and Reiterpallasch and they are both awesome weapons. Every single weapon in BB is good and at worst is strong in certain situations (which makes it nice you can carry 2!

I'm holding off on beating the game because I'm worried it will wipe my chalice dungeon progress, does it carry over to NG+?

Beat Rom last night! Pretty intense sequence, but not that hard of a boss. Maybe I'm better at reading tells now but it seemed like he telegraphed his moves way more clearly than other bosses.

Got any tips for Reiterpallasch? The first form seems great but I'm not sure why I'd ever need to turn it into a gun when I have one in my left hand.

I see why Unseen Village gets a lot of grief around here, that place is nuts. I wanted to explore a bit more, but with enemies
resurrecting
so frequently, you could never really settle in. I don't know how I made it to the
Chapel Lantern
without dying, bit there were a lot of close calls, and holy shit, they are shooting fucking
Lasers
.

So I never saw Eileen again after meeting her above the sewers. Then
I fight her in the Grand Cathedral - which I'd heard about happening before.

What did I miss, GAF?
