I'll try this again:

Why can't I summon more than 1 guest? What do I have to do to summon 2 guests?
The bell is unusable after I ring it for the first time.
Is there a way to summon one human guest and a NPC guest? I tried it and it didn't work... :(

Are you sure that isn't because you don't need to ring it a second time?

I've not used the beckoning bell myself, but when I've joined other peoples games to help them, another person has joined without them doing anything. You may have to wait a bit though.

You wait longer. Once you ring the bell it continually searches until you get two helpers or you leave an area/attempt a boss.

Oh, cool! Thanks!

So if I want to summon a NPC guest and a human I should ring the bell in the area close to the NPC and wait. Will that work?

Ignore the spiders, hit him with your strongest attacks on his sides. You can attack while he's still teleporting. Run to his new spot and repeat. Run very far away when he does his AOE attacks and then run back in.

Buff with bolt paper

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FVxtxyZLeOI , skip to 1 minute to see how to reliably dodge the arcane missiles.
If you go slow and steady youll be 100% safe, if you ignore spiders and try to rush you need some luck.

Stack arcane defense through armor and runes and use bolt paper for extra damage. Kill the spiders at the beginning, then ignore the spiders after you reach the stage where Rom starts attacking.
Alright, thanks :)

Thanks! Good to know.

So I guess my problem is poor match making, because I tried waiting before but it didn't work. Anyway... thanks guys. :)
Not just yours problem, a lot of people have a hard time summoning or joining other players.
Maybe a patch will fix the issues.

Is there any reason to keep my Insight high? Enemies are starting to change in a way I don't like! I'll adjust if there is some benefit to it though. Try to keep the answer spoiler free. Thanks.

i dont get it.
Rom
in the chalice dungeon is so fucking difficult. Towards the end, it is impossible to get near him. Either with meteors coming from the sky, or the meteors coming from the ground. The ones from the ground instakill me and I am level 90 something. Also been having the adds kill me in 2 rapid hits where its impossible to avoid the second one because of some kind of stun

Something weird happened to me, i summoned and got 2 guests which we killed Amelia very quickly, they both attacked her in front, i just threw oil + molotov at her :)

For NPC quest there's only Alfred to help you?

Hide behind pillars to avoid the meteors. Lure and fight spiders behind the pillars until they're cleared. Get to the closest pillar outside of his ground splash attack, and run at him as soon as a sky attack ends, attacking from the side. Equip health and stamina ruins, too. Tedious, but worked for me at the same level as you.

if they announce a house of wolves release date today with new info/trailer/teaser I fully expect this thread to go insane.... you all better go insane.... I mean it!

*edit*

wrong thread :/ I suffer from to many tabs

Question- Is there any sidequest I should clear before killing
ROM
?

I rescued all 4 NPCs already if that matters.

I would make use of the
Hypogean Gaol lamp
as it won't be functional afterward. There's a nice little blood echo run from there, killing
the two bag men and two pigs outside.
Great for leveling if you don't mind the grind.

Father G also available for the cleric beast fight

holy shit I did it. I have been stuck on this for like 4 hours. That was insane. There were points where I would just stand behind a pillar and watch him do the ground meteor attack endlessly for like 45 seconds straight

Edit: the fact that i still have another layer in this one scares me

when you first come to cathedral ward and head out towards that giant..then downstairs to the first "chrystal lizard" thingy..theres a locked door...how to open that one?

Nice! I was pretty lucky with the ground attacks, as he didn't seem to do them very often when I was actually in range using that strategy.

I'm stuck on the boss there, so I won't be any help now...lol.

Wait having high insight makes the game harder?

past a certain level, much.

edit... well, different and stronger attack patterns. If you get stuck and need help on a boss and check out youtube clips, they are generally worthless if you have high insight as attacks change

The fight seems very RNG heavy. Sometimes you can be a bit more lucky with his attack patterns and other times it's ridiculous. I was the same level and it took me about four or five tries.

Although you can block the
ice missiles
in the chalice dungeon, I still think it's more difficult because of the reduced space.
Every time I'd do too much damage to him so he skips a teleport, which causes two waves of spiders to come down on one teleport. That would be fine in the normal boss room, but in such a limited space it's just not fun courtesy of the fact the spiders can one shot you.

Tonitrus makes this game easy mode holy shit. I was building my 2nd character to use the damn wheel... i might have to change that.

Found out it's the dialog that starts after you get killed by the
machine gun hunter
from Old Yharnam...

Oh wow! If that's more than just a glitch then that's something that we didn't know. I'm starting to wonder if the chalice dungeons also take place in a different time. I mean that would explain the
Queens
presence there

If you have at least 15 Insight, it definitely makes some enemies tougher. Not sure beyond that besides how more Insight will make you more susceptible to the Frenzy status effect.

Wow, had no idea about this, I'm at 21 now, so does anyone know what the benefit to having a high insight is?

None really? Least nothing useful anyone has found, all indications it makes the game harder only.

Really? I didn't like it much but maybe I just didn't have the right stats.

Don't even really need much stats. Just upgrade the damn thing and keep it's transformed mode up all the time. Only rocking like 18 str 15 arc and it's killing all regular mobs in like 2 hits. Doing these areas on my first character it was taking 3-4 hits on a much slower weapon.
