.@Senators are 1st team in NHL history to qualify for playoffs after sitting 14 PTS outside the postseason picture (at any point in season).
That's pretty amazing.

Marlies up 1-0 on the Merks with 30 to play. Keep it up!

edit: make that 2-0. An assist each for Brown and Nylander, and a goal for Leipsic.

Powerplay between Canucks and Flames is equal

... Canucks are 2/8, Flames are 0/11

EQUALITY

I just realized something, if Montreal and Detroit meet in the first round, it would be their first playoff series against each other since 1978.

Carolina you better win in regulation tonight.

Looks like Winnipeg will be finishing the season with 99 points, a franchise best.

Meanwhile, the Canucks will get home-ice advantage against Calgary.

Really nice for the jets to end on a high note at home and the franchise records for points etc are nice (if a bit meaningless in the OTL era)

Update:

Montreal vs. Ottawa/Detroit/Pittsburgh
Tampa Bay vs. Ottawa/Detroit/Pittsburgh
Rangers vs. Detroit/Pittsburgh/Boston
Washington vs. Islanders (home ice TBD)

St. Louis vs. Winnipeg/Minnesota
Nashville vs. Chicago
Anaheim vs. Winnipeg/Minnesota
Vancouver vs. Calgary

*Comes out of the woodwork*

Damn proud of the Sens and Winnipeg native Stone. Haven't watched many games this year but I'm happy they made the post-season by defying the odds. I hope Murray does the same and beats his cancer.
