Bloodborne |OT+++| ...and so the Nightly Hunt continues

Platinum'd the game the hard way (three times through, one for each ending). I actually had someone invade me uninvited for the first time on the way to
Mergo's Wet Nurse
. I'm usually not one for "honor" PvP in souls, but since he was polite enough to wait in front of the boss for me and didn't attack while I was clearing out the mobs, I made an exception and went full-on bows and no-heals.

Feel kind of bad for him, though. I've got a feeling he was pretty far down on the lower end of being summonable to my world. (I was Lv247 by the end of NG++.) Though, I spent most of my echoes leveling every combat scaling stat to 50 to try out different weapons, so I suppose the only thing making it uneven was all the extra physical defense.

Actively hoping for DLC, which is something I haven't said about a game in a while.

Don't put too much faith in the scaling you see on the screen. Tonitrus has an extra arcane multiplier from using the charge-up ability that actually makes it scale extremely well with Arcane.

I mean, if you just look at the letters, the Cannon has the worst Bloodtinge scaling of any weapon. That's not even half the story, though; because of the way scaling interfaces with base damage and multipliers, a single point in Bloodtinge gives you more damage on a Cannon shot than other ranged weapons. The Tonitrus in charged-mode is the same way.

You can go back, but the lamp doesn't ever activate again.
The whole area has been taken over by other mobs at this point, you can't go back and farm the sack guys, but you can still get back to Paarl if you didn't kill him yet.

on my Bloodtinge character and I just have to keep wondering why they thought this boss even needed to exist. It died in about 10 seconds.

Ah, okay. I haven't killed him yet. I assume you get back can get back to him by going through
Unseen Village
then?

To me it felt like leftovers from a Souls game. Very low poly and low texture on the outside up top. Didn't resemble the geometry from the rest of the game.

On the 3rd boss of the defiled dungeon. This place is just grueling and draining. Heard you can just cheese this one really easily, might have to do that. This is becoming very annoying

I had much more trouble with the NPC Hunter in the library than with the actual boss.

Finally got him on my like 40th try. I swear I had his pattern before that, but he can be so random at times and totally fuck you over quick.

I also tried to cheese him once, but ended up wasting too many of those daggers and didn't want to go back and farm echoes to buy more. Plus I wanted to own him straight up. Worst boss difficulty wise of the game for me so far.

Yeah, there is another lamp that puts you on the opposite side of the building than the Hypogean Gaol, it's a short run back over to the lamp from there. The second lamp is kind of dangerous to get to, though. :P
 
I can't believe I did it!!! I beat
Rom
!!!! And it was in the weirdest way possible.

So the game glitched and some spiders appeared in the corner. They didn't move so I just attacked them & then more appeared. Eventually I killed most of them, then I attacked rom and when he went to his next stage no more spiders spawned. So he was completely alone. Me and my co-op partner finished him off and that was that! I believe I read about this glitch & it may work for others.

I believe that I'm finally at the final boss would you guys suggest I go back and explore other areas before I beat him or save that for a new game + run through?

Good job. Hate that fight with a passion. But I'm getting better at it each time I fight him. Still feels like it's more about luck than anything, though.
 
Finally got past all the Chalices and got my platinum. Ended at level 119.

The last chalice boss glitched out and just stood there while I hit her for the last two-thirds of her health. I felt bad for a moment, then remembered the hours I spent getting past all the bosses leading up to her, and eh, I'll take it.

already, were there any critical sidequests, bosses, etc.?
 
Headless Bloodletting Beast. Now, that was a real fun fight, up close and personal. None of this cheese, bait and 1 hit and run crap with the later chalice bosses. One more to go and I can stop with this chalice crap.

This has been known for a while. Killing the idle spiders will make them not show up again on his 2nd and 3rd teleport. Kinda neat though.

I was coming here to post the exact same thing. I was expecting the upper cathedral to be a more exciting area. Now I just the Cainhurst Castle to explore. I hoping for a better optional area.

Last time I saw her was in cathedral ward.
Thought rom was the trigger for her appearance in the tomb of odeon.
But after I went to the woods the backwards way and to chainhurst castle(without killing the bosses) she disappeared.
 
So, starting from the very first chalice dungeon you have to do, how long til it starts getting tough? Aren't the first few a joke? I kind of want to just rush through this to be done and get the plat since I know people hate the Chalice stuff.
