A lot of the bosses seem to have a weak spot, particularly the larger ones. Conversely, many of them also have heavily armored areas likeThanks, both of you! I didn't know the game had "hit part for maximum damage" in it. How did you guys figure this out?

Can i get the same the 1/3 umbilical cord from the same person if i keep playing through new game +?
Do they stack?
I guess one way of looking at it is that Dark Souls emphasises the RPG elements, whereas Bloodborne emphasises the action aspect of the 'action-RPG' genre that the Souls games are often referred to as..
Just beat the the Shadow of Yarnham. Where is the best place to go next where I am leveled enough to do? I am level 54 and I have the option to:
1. Continue from the Forbidden Woods Graveyard and head down the steps.
2. Go to Cathedral Ward and use the stone I received to open up the door where the frenzy gets you. (I think the stone opens up that door, I'm not even sure.) I received it from someones door in the Forbidden Forest.
or
3. Go back to Unseen Village and take on the Dark Paarl (sp?) Beast?

"This is a dank curse."
I think my main problem with this is that Bloodborne, at least where I am (still early--just unlocked Hemwick Charnel Lane and the Forbidden Woods), is that I'm having trouble envisioning a second playthrough where my play style is very different at all. I've put in well over 10 hours at this point, and in the Souls games, I would have a bunch of different builds/options in my head by now, but I'm drawing a blank with BB. Sure, I could use a different weapon, but doing so isn't going to change how I approach encounters all that much. I hope I'm wrong, but it just seems like there's a lack of variety and options that the previous games had.
Also, the game feels a lot more "lonely" than previous entries. No idea why they changed the co-op system to this new form... it feels completely dead.
i am using a different weapon for my second playthrough (ludwig's, mostly 2 handed) and it is completely different in approach from my first playthrough (almost entirely saw cleaver)
you're at a high enough level to do any of the 3, but paarl is probably the easiest
1 is where to go next main story wise. be sure to finish npc sending quests before the next area boss if you don't want to miss..3 is probably a good idea to do next...
1. Aim higher.
2. No. Unlock shorter path.
That's true for me as well. I think BB will be the first Souls game I don't take into NG+ or start over again.I know what you mean, but I think that applies to all of the other Souls games too. I think they all tail off towards the end, and I put this down to familiarity with the techniques that the designers use to keep you on your toes.
Also, I can't say this for definite with Bloodborne as I'm nearly but not-quite-done yet, all of the Souls games become much easier and less intimidating by the time you reach the end. Again, this is partly due to the player getting wise to the techniques the game uses to thwart you, the player "gitting gud", and the player character becoming much more powerful.
My opinion on the game so far is that it is easily the best game I have played this year, and probably my second favourite Souls game. Dark Souls still reigns supreme for me. The NPCs in Bloodborne aren't particularly interesting, and although the world is consistent and feel more real than Dark Souls, it lacks the variety.
Combat-wise, Bloodborne is my favourite of the Souls games though. I love it. The health regain mechanic is genius and teaches you not to fear getting hit, which is the exact opposite of how to play Dark Souls. I also love the trick weapons and think I prefer them to having swathes of useless weapons clogging up my inventory.
Armour is a bit disappointing though. I haven't really needed to change from the hunter's garb much, except for specific boss fights, and there isn't a great deal of stat difference between the armour sets I have found so far.
Finally, the main thing which keeps Bloodborne below Dark Souls in my opinion is that there seems to be very little about the game which encourages me to play through it again any time soon. As fun as it is, and it really is, it is also just frustrating enough for me to want a little break from it once I'm done. It doesn't seem like a second play-through will show me anything new, and trying again with different weapons doesn't really offer a huge amount of variety. The Souls games each play very differently depending on your character build, whereas Bloodborne feels like it will be a very similar experience no matter what weapons I use. I understand why, and think the combat is much more exciting for this change, but role-playing suffers as a consequence.

Yeah, I just ran through that part, I hate frenzy. The frenzy-inducing monsters on the bridge in nare a massive pain in the ass. So glad I'm done with that bit.ightmare of mensis

Same. No new weapons or armor. Don't see the point. DS2 was the best for NG+. The No Death and No Using Lamps Runs were the best. That's true for me as well. I think BB will be the first Souls game I don't take into NG+ or start over again.

Time for my "waifu" run! Skill/Bloodtinge all the way, this time.
Jump to 4:10. Killed on first try. RPG rules, always down the caster first, then the non flame guy. Also my character is strong with guns, so I took some advantage with it.

Do you have to initially?go through the swamp
After you kill Rom, the teleports you to a circular room. Just run down the pathway to the Unseen Village to continue the story.
4 runs slot. First 3, what one you can use is based on the rune's shape. Last one is for covenant runs.
Each weapon was different weapon scaling based on stats. Lvled your the star with better lettering.
