Cage!

HYPE!!!!!!!!

Will Iron Fist be like Mortal Kombat

Not sure if you're joking but if I had to guess the first season of Iron Fist will be based on Claremont/Byrne (with some Heroes for Hire stuff) and the second on Brubaker/Fraction. So I guess by Season 2 it sorta might be like MK :P

i literally came on to Iron Fist from said Bru/Fraction run, here's to Fat Cobra & co in season 2
but yeah, since Man Without Fear was the single biggest series influence on DD, what's the go-to issues/arc from Claremont & Byrne you guys are thinking for Danny?

I ain't gonna lie...I could stare into Krysten Ritters eyes for quite a while.
She looks so sad though.

I really wonder if any of the costumes for these Netflix shows will be true to the source material. First Daredevil's final suit and now Cage without the yellow tshirt. Iron Fist probably won't wear the yellow/green suit either.

It's a process.
Daredevil's suit at the end of the season is still a proto-suit, a Mark I if you will.

I'm sure we'll get hints at it, or a variation of it by the end of the season.

Why would he wear the same yellow shirt every single day?

Cages yellow shirt is gone for over a decade. I doubt we see it beside a easter egg.
Edit:

Do you mean this:

Do you really think they're afraid to put him in a yellow t-shirt?

Oh really? Is this official? Wow I didn't know that. Makes me happy. :)

I asked myself that question but again, I'm thinking "comic book TV show!".

Oh. I don't follow his comics. The yellow shirt is just so iconic to me. I mean this one:

No. I never implied they were afraid.

Nevermind the yellow shirt, is Jessica gonna wear the Jewel outfit?

I think there's a pretty safe bet of that actually out of all the Netflix heroes, she's almost meant to parody the atypical everyhero, so makes sense she'd see someone like Cap running around the Battle of New York and cook up a colourful costume to match.

I was thinking the first series from 1975 which ran for 15 issues plus Marvel-Team Up #63 and #64, simply because it would provide a background for what happens in Brubaker's run. I might be completely wrong though but I have reason to believe that it'll be something along those lines.

Melvin mentions that the suit isn't finished; The black parts are where it has been fully protected, but the red parts aren't done yet. I'm assuming his intention was to make the entire suit black.

At the very end, when we see the drawing of the Daredevil on the newspaper it looks the all-red comic book costume Most likely the cop couldn't see it clearly and didn't really notice the black. This will likely cause the red to "stick" and that's what we'll end up with when we see Daredevil Mark II

sounds as good a jumping-on point as any, thanks rebels

Something to add: The Claremont/Byrne run actually begins with Marvel Premiere #25 which leads into Iron Fist #1. Iron Fist's first appearance and origin are in Marvel Premiere #15-16.

edit: Marvel Masterworks Iron Fist Vol. 1 and 2 collect these plus Marvel Premiere #17-24.

It would be hilariously dumb if they spent one-two entire shows just to get Cage into a fucking yellow t-shirt.

Cage enters the department store, the camera slowly panning as we watch him take each step. An epic anthem slowly builds as the bright fluorescent lighting illuminates the stale room. Cut to wide as he steps towards camera. We cut in close, his scowled, determined expression. The beeps of the check-out counter are a muted, distant echo in his ears. As he walks, we see people passing him going the other way with their items. He glances at their faces - the people he must protect.

Luke walks down an aisle, hangers holding women's clothing. He stops and looks at a light blue bottoned blouse... The music halts, leaving nothing but soft, sparce piano keys. He reaches out and gently touches the blouse - memories of those he loves come flooding back. He remembers his promise...

The music swells. The time has come. He continues towards the men's section. He plants his feet infront of a table, dozens of t-shirts neatly placed on-top. He picks up a single shirt - yellow, no graphic. Size? Large. He unfolds the tee and stares at it, gripping it tightly in his firm hands. He sees it - his destiny.

A sign at the center of the table reads "Buy 2 for $20!" He only needs one.

Shit he did his best work in a black T-Shirt.

Besides it would look stupid if Cage only wore a yellow shirt

Any shirt he would wear is gonna get shredded anyway.

I hope they go a different route with Jessica than they did at the end of Alias. Have her bounce back in a different way rather than further sidelining herself with being a parent. It might be kind of funny if she ended up being Jewel for the first time by the end of this.

Yeah but she and Luke got be a committed thing.

He's out of prison, so I would guess so.

We'll probably get a ton of flashbacks of Luke's time in the slammer throughout his own series, similar to how Daredevil did it.

Man I can't wait to see the rest of the Defenders in their own series, I'm really hyped. I hope Iron Fist lays a beatdown on
Madam Gao, she's probably a very powerful person from K'un-Lun

They're actually shooting in NY right? Any chance they'll be in Brooklyn this weekend?

There's no way you watched this show then

My girlfriend is actually high school friends with the blonde from this show. I need to parlay that in to a Krysten Ritter hang out somehow.
