Finished Defiled Chalice Dungeon, thank you for hyping this because in the end wasn't as hard as I thought, in fact the dungeon itself is pretty easy, the bosses are troublesome but I learned their patterns long ago. Took me a couple of attempts though.

Sadly, I don't have the Living String or whatever to create the last dungeon so I have to play the story now. I'm on Grand Cathedral, shouldn't be much of a problem and it'll be nice to no be frighten all the time. -_-

Defiled Doggie Fight

Welp, I think until the community optimizes farming way more specific gems I'm done with Bloodborne besides some help requests and PVP fight clubs and such.
Call me when the Raid Mechanics/Build Variety Expansion comes.

It was a ride.

You guys have moments where you're just fed up? I just got off after 30 minutes. Started at the U
nseen
C
hapel
and proceeded to get murdered by the
hunters
over. And over. And over. And over. Was so frustrated that I let the damn
bell maiden right before
kill me and shut it down, couldn't do it anymore.

You can take two of those hunters silently. :)

Ugghh what the hell. Rom was a decent fight but not that bad.... Now wtf I'm like stuck, I'm getting my ass handed to me in both the Unseen Village and Cainhurst. Feel like I'm getting wholloped in both areas. No clear area to level up, I'm at 52

Way to much "ATK down".
Would not use.

Just run.

breaking pvp because of the chalice dungeons isn't the right solution.

How does raising the agreed upon meta "break" PVP what am I missing??? The way I see it, in order to max a good fighting character for PVP the best way to get the right gem mix is to go through the chalices...even if you get a glyph you still need the right materials to get into the chalice in question, which in turn means beating some bosses in said chalices....those that can do it at low level are likely the last to need the extra help on their PVP character.

Those damn hunters in the temple ugh.

Tho now I just found a random secret area on top of the elevator where I warped somewhere in a bath. Ha. What.

I really dont see a way other than to try to divide and conquer...even two on one with those dudes is goign to be pretty tough.

Looking back now, I can't help but wonder if the
Unseen Village
area is broken. If I remember correctly, killing a bell maiden should make enemies she summons stop spawning. But even after killing her they keep on spawning. The latter part of that area is easy if you know what you are doing, but the first part is just pure torture. I hope FROM is taking some notice of the communities comments on that area.

edit: grammar

Yeah that's a hard fight. The long run to it don't help.

Gotta keep running and moving around. A moving guy will not be hit, and you can separate them that way. A little spoilerish advice, maybe you will notice this in the fight on your own
when one dies, the others power up. So try to hit them all equally and only kill one when the others are down to 40%

Finally beat them. I really hate how this game knows that I've went and bitched and moaned on GAF. Then an hour later allow me to finally defeat it. Fucking game, man. lol

I thought that it was a mistake at first, but them I kept finding obscure bell maidens..perhaps you have to kill them all to stop the respawning in any one spot?

We agree on a curtain level for pvp so we have many unique builds and the biggest playerbase possible.
Leveling higher because of the chalice dungeons would have a negative impact on that.

120 is to much for bloodborne already imo.

Been taking the game pretty deliberately, making sure to explore everything I can. Love the feeling you get when you discover a new secret area, that's really what keeps me going in these games.

So far I have the following bosses available and unbeaten after playing for about 45 hours:

Amygdala
king dude in Cainhurst Castle
Ebrietas
Wet Nurse which I'm assuming is the most important one since I know I need to kill a baby or some shit

1 and 3 are pretty tough, but I haven't tried number 1 for like 40 levels lol

I think I'm gonna try using augur of ebrietas on ebrietas lol

I've been avoiding spoilers as much as possible, but is there a tip for figuring out which element an enemy attack is? I keep swapping between arcane and physical defense armors when I try bosses but it's kind of confusing. At least I have a fire weapon and an arcane weapon I can just quick swap to figure out my opponent's weaknesses.

oh no worries at 120 I thought some were arguing for 90-100 and thought that might be too low. 120 is more than enough...this stat total does mirror the traditional dark/demons builds that allow maxed attack power, but limit oversized health bars.

My third time through
Father Gascoigne
(NG+ this time) and I have him down now. I think I can defeat him without taking a hit.

There are
six bell maidens
. Some of them are pretty difficult to find. One of them I kept missing even though
she
was practically in plain sight.

It's a very difficult area but now that I've done it several times I actually kind of enjoy it. It's like the Sen's Fortress of Bloodborne, initially daunting but fun once you get a handle on it.

No, the bell maidens in the toughest areas are very well hidden.

Ok seriously, how are you supposed to beat the
three hunters in Yahargul
?

Well if you kill any of them, they stay dead. You can actually sneak up on the middle one and start the battle with a charge attack into visceral. Just try to burst him down before you get grouped upp on. Thats how i did it.

demon's and dark hat more stats, with different purposes, different scaling and a different system.

without the weight/burden system, you don't need as much endurance.
you don't need a stat for spell slots.

imo 120 is to much for bloodborne.

Anyone know enemies that drop Sage Hair? Specifically know a chalice?

I think I found one in the treasure chest room in the Great Isz 3rd layer, same room as the Red Jelly.

That being said, thank fuck I finished the plat and never have to run the dungeons again.

You don't need anywhere near 40 endurance in this game. 20 is this game is like 40 in DS.

I think you'll may need more than 20 if you're using the big weapons, those still eat a lot of stamina transformed.

I don't care if it's 1oo or 120 but I don't see how 120 is too much. You're still going only to be able to cap 1 offensive stat, unless you gimp your health or end too much.

Is it advisable to max out an offensive stat? I am reading around, and it seems that after the first 25 stat points, the subsequent 25 points are only 70 percent effective.

I am a threaded cane user wondering if I should go all the way Wil skill points now or putting some into arcane. I am also wondering if I should put in some points into bloodtinge. I have seen some people wrecking havoc with only a pistol.

Leveling up a new character now.

Hoping to get into more pvp than I saw with my first character. I think she's probably way outleveled now for any sort of summoning let alone pvp.

Chalice dungeons ho!
At around level 70~75, PvP in Nightmare Frontier was pretty lively, between invading and getting invaded, didn't have to wait more than 3 or so minutes for one or the other to happen.

Lure them into the ally way. They will start to deaggro, let 2 leave but keep 1 aggro on you. Keep your distance and the hunter will start to walk back into the building, allowing you to get a few hits in.repeat it until all 3 are dead

Can someone that understands the
Eileen
quest sequence help me out? I've read up on it and am just plain confused.

So I've been playing blind, but decided to make sure I wasn't missing any major missables that would cause me to have to do 5 playthroughs or something.

I have
talked to her at least once -- I have the first gesture she gives. I'm 99% sure that's the only time I talked to her. I have killed Rom. I just peeked into the cathedral and there is a hunter standing far in there.
I don't know where to look for her. i tried where i thought the wiki told me to look (near the cathedral).

Is that hunter her? according to the wiki:
"Also, it appears that if you never talk to her in the cathedral ward before she leaves, she seems to spawn at the grand cathedral lamp, after the Rom fight, as a hostile."

or is that Hendrik?

i don't want to go kill it if i'm supposed to do something with eileen first, but if it's eileen i should just kill her, right?

I think I'm also confused about the 'tomb of odeon' and the 'great cathedral'... are they different places? for some reason i thought they were the same, and i'm not sure which i should go to in order to hopefully find her.

So if i need the badge she dropped, should i kill the hunter in the cathedral? find eileen somewhere? go to the tomb of odeon [where is it?]? So confused
