All those lines come from Return of the Jedi. But they are pitched lower. So either he re-recorded those lines specifically for the trailer, or they found alternate ADR takes in the archives and used those.

But nothing spoken in this trailer wasn't already said in Return of the Jedi.

I think the opening of Luke talking about how his father had it, he had it, his sister had it...and now you have it....I think the female in the trailer must be related to him somehow. I don't think it's his daughter. I think she's (Daisy Ridley) going to be the main character in this film. The stormtrooper played by Phoenix James, I think becomes a helper to the Rebellion and infiltrates the Empire.

I am loving how this is looking, although it's just two trailers and trailers always mislead how I'm going to feel. Sometimes I'll hate a trailer and love the movie, or vice versa.

Anyway, does anyone know if they have said anything about swipe transitions? Now I don't think these new movies have to be exactly the same, but I would love to see the swipe transitions remain.

The person handing Leia the saber looks like Ahsoka. Maybe a relative of her? The person looks female, is much smaller than Leia, and has orange skin with white markings on the face. They're also kneeling while presenting the saber.

Nah, that's Anakin's second lightsaber/Luke's first lightsaber. We saw it get lost in Cloud City, but I guess someone found it.

Let's hope they didn't find a hand clenched around it...

Well maybe he had to replace his old robot hand, maybe it got chopped off again. Maybe he is a cyborg like Vader, that was rumoured at one point.

I'm not convinced that the images of the characters match up with Luke's family. Maybe the dialogue is supposed to be viewed from Kylo Ren's perspective. Maybe that's him with R2.

I've watched it so many times and honestly I never noticed until I just read what you posted. Amazing how glued in I've been at that destroyer...

Yep, the thing is that this is a new recording with a different ending for the convo. He is speaking in the new movie with someone other than Leia repeating the same things he said 30 years ago.

Yeah. I soon as the dialogue started, I recognized it from Jedi. So now I see it a being taken straight from there, even though it possibly might be a different take or a re-record.
As far as I'm concerned if they re-recorded though, they would've changes "has" to "had"/
