Space Battles DLC.
Calling it now.
Nah, space battles exclusive to PS4 for a year.
Space Battles DLC.
Calling it now.
Fucking LOL.
DICE'd. Sounds like what they did with bombers and the C130 gunship in BF3/4.
I can get beyond the 40 player count (which MAY be mode specific), lack of campaign (I never play them), and even space battles (I wouldn't trust DICE to pull this off), but man, I really HATE the way they dumbed down this kind of thing in BF3/BF4.
Still holding out hope, but man, they're making it difficult.
The cynicism here is amazing. We're already calling it a BF4 reskin now? We haven't even seen footage.
Kinda ridiculous. You don't have to like everything, but really?
We have read it. But you know... talk down to people who expect a PROGRESSION from BF2 rather than a REGRESSION.
I'm still excited, just a little deflated. It's a missed opportunity and probably a result of rushing it out to make Ep. 7 release.
I wonder if people saying the lack of space battles isn't that bad even played Battlefront 2. It was like... the main appeal of that game. Made that game feel like an actual Star Wars space battle.
It was pretty much on top of what the fans wanted from this game. This is Star Wars, not Battlefield X Star Wars.
According to some info posters, the AT-ATs are on scripted paths. You can only control the guns.
I love people complaining about the AT-AT's when in BF2 all you could do was walking in a really slow pace towards the rebel base. Hell, people didn't move the damn thing too much, their sole purpose was for spawn points.

Jesus Christ, what do you people want?
No space battles is the only disappointing thing here
No Campaign is a Battlefront mainstay, the game will still have bot missions. Everything else sounds exactly on point with what you should want from a Star Wars Battlefront game. It sounds like a lot of you have no idea what to expect and wanted a cinematic Star Wars video game with a story and tacked on MP.
Rather than a traditional solo outing, Battlefront will rely on a set of short missions which can be played alone, or cooperatively via split-screen or online
i can see how no campaign could be for the better, but the potential could have been somthin.
like imagine there was a sp level on Hoth and you play rebels getting the hell out of Echo base, you could be that guy who gets on the intercomm and goes "imperial troops have entered the base! imperial troops have en--"
but i could see how this would have been for the better, everyone is just concerned that Battlefront will have less value with out a campaign.

They've been working on the game since May 2013. 2 and a half years is a pretty good amount of time.No campaign is unsurprising given the short timeframe they have to get this out and get it working. DICE kind of sucks with campaign anyway.
Reposting again, reading is hard etc
Just like Battlefront 2
ITT: People can't read
Same as Battlefront 2.

no words about Galatic Conquest?
#iwantobelieve
Progression isn't making a campaign. Battlefront is and always has been a multiplayer franchise. Nothing else to say about it.
Wait for Visceral's game if you want a Star Wars campaign.
No space battles and not being able to pilot walkers is pretty disappointing but I guess if they didn't have much dev time oh well. A
There are so many Star Wars fans, Battlefront fans, Dice fans, and combinations of them and we all want the best game possible so I can understand the reactions. All I want is for the game to look good, play well, and be FUN. If those are in place I'll be happy.
Wait... is it just the ATATs or the ATSTs as well?
I'm totally ok with the ATATs being set up like that, but the smaller vehicles / walkers should not be scripted.

As DICE will later explain, this is a demo of a new mode called Walker Assault, which will support Battlefronts largest player count with 40 players. Other maps and modes will support smaller player counts, down to as few as eight players.
Article only mentions ATAT's
Those shots look too good to be true.
Why doesn't everyone take a breath and wait and see it for themselves. They probably made a decision to drive the game mode forward
