Leaked Battlefront info (40 players, heroes, free Ep7 DLC, FPS & TPS) [Full Screens]

Fucking LOL.

DICE'd. Sounds like what they did with bombers and the C130 gunship in BF3/4.

I can get beyond the 40 player count (which MAY be mode specific), lack of campaign (I never play them), and even space battles (I wouldn't trust DICE to pull this off), but man, I really HATE the way they dumbed down this kind of thing in BF3/BF4.

Still holding out hope, but man, they're making it difficult.

Why doesn't everyone take a breath and wait and see it for themselves. They probably made a decision to drive the game mode forward

The cynicism here is amazing. We're already calling it a BF4 reskin now? We haven't even seen footage.

Kinda ridiculous. You don't have to like everything, but really?

im expecting tons of expansions/dlc type of stuff for the people craving certain aspects of the game that are missing, that is pure profit for them.

We have read it. But you know... talk down to people who expect a PROGRESSION from BF2 rather than a REGRESSION.

I'm still excited, just a little deflated. It's a missed opportunity and probably a result of rushing it out to make Ep. 7 release.

Progression isn't making a campaign. Battlefront is and always has been a multiplayer franchise. Nothing else to say about it.

Wait for Visceral's game if you want a Star Wars campaign.

I wonder if people saying the lack of space battles isn't that bad even played Battlefront 2. It was like... the main appeal of that game. Made that game feel like an actual Star Wars space battle.

It was pretty much on top of what the fans wanted from this game. This is Star Wars, not Battlefield X Star Wars.

It was the biggest dangling candy that is for sure and they weren't bad or anything but they honestly weren't anything special either, just normal battles with islands (ships). If we are talking about exquisite space battles then we are talking about X-wing: Alliance.

According to some info posters, the AT-ATs are on scripted paths. You can only control the guns.

I love people complaining about the AT-AT's when in BF2 all you could do was walking in a really slow pace towards the rebel base. Hell, people didn't move the damn thing too much, their sole purpose was for spawn points.

You could at least stop when you were towed and shoot the damn snowspeeder, it was pretty much impossible when you were moving...or you could move backwards and it would sometimes crash into you :)

Jesus Christ, what do you people want?
No space battles is the only disappointing thing here
No Campaign is a Battlefront mainstay, the game will still have bot missions. Everything else sounds exactly on point with what you should want from a Star Wars Battlefront game. It sounds like a lot of you have no idea what to expect and wanted a cinematic Star Wars video game with a story and tacked on MP.

This. Only slightly disappointed about the lack of Space Battles.

As for the non-pilotable AT-ATs - I actually like that. Player-controlled AT-ATs looked sluggish, the movement never felt "natural". And seriously, you most likely only had one path to go anyway.

Reposting again, reading is hard etc

Rather than a traditional solo outing, Battlefront will rely on a set of short missions which can be played alone, or cooperatively via split-screen or online

Just like Battlefront 2

No space battles and not being able to pilot walkers is pretty disappointing but I guess if they didn't have much dev time oh well. Also, while I wish there could have been a campaign, maybe it's for the best since DICE can't seem to make one worth playing lately so just focus on multiplayer for Battlefront.

I like everything else I'm hearing (yay third person!), now just let me see it. Then I will decide if I want it.

i can see how no campaign could be for the better, but the potential could have been somthin.

like imagine there was a sp level on Hoth and you play rebels getting the hell out of Echo base, you could be that guy who gets on the intercomm and goes "imperial troops have entered the base! imperial troops have en--"

but i could see how this would have been for the better, everyone is just concerned that Battlefront will have less value with out a campaign.

That is an awesome idea man.

I thought I read a while ago that there was definitely going to be a single player campaign.. :( oh well even if they removed everything from the game except for a group of singing ewoks I would still end up buying it.

Progression isn't always having more. I'd rather have a polished multiplayer experience than have all these other componentes that don't add much to the game.

Wait... is it just the ATATs or the ATSTs as well?

I'm totally ok with the ATATs being set up like that, but the smaller vehicles / walkers should not be scripted.

Meh, campaign is the least of my concerns.

Lack of space battles and certain vehicles being pilotable is lame.

I'm sure the game will still be fantastic, but it's disappointing.

edit: No ADS?

Thank the lord.

There are so many Star Wars fans, Battlefront fans, Dice fans, and combinations of them and we all want the best game possible so I can understand the reactions. All I want is for the game to look good, play well, and be FUN. If those are in place I'll be happy.

But it's getting silly.

There are people that want it to stay exactly the same as their nostalgia glasses remember the games. But also have all the additional little tweaks that their own personality wants.

I seriously feel like some people want Battlefront to be NoMansSky-Battlefield-DriveClub-Bloodborne-Skyrim-Titanfall and anything short of that will not be good enough.

It's a game guys. It's not all things to all people. But can we quit saying "I'm done with this game!" because it neglects one feature that you put up on a pedestal? That's just throwing the baby out with the bathwater. It's your money and your choice, but it also makes you sounds a bit petty.

Lol, why the hell do you all want a campaign in Battlefront. Dice make shit campaigns and this would just have been wasted resources. Way better that they make kickass online, which is what battlefront was about from the start and what it should be about. Christ.

Why doesn't everyone take a breath and wait and see it for themselves. They probably made a decision to drive the game mode forward

Like I said, I'm still holding out hope, but I've seen DICE dumb down the Battlefield series over the past three games under the guise of "we know what's best for you". It's remarkably irritating and condescending.
